  1. I agree with this. If they're moving on from Tyrod it has to be either Cardale or a rookie drafted in the first round to lead this team in 2017. Everyone talks about Romo being fragile, which he certainly appears to be, but how many more years does he have regardless? If you're going to tear it down, tear it down. If you feel we are close with an improved McDermott defense, then go with Tyrod.
  2. I just heard that Battle has been really sick all week long. Was dehydrated.
  3. Glad I missed this one. I was expecting them to lay an egg in one of these Pitt/Ga Tech road games. Monday's game v L'ville is going to be huge.
  4. This should be the auto reply to every post in this thread...lol. Amazon has just about everything.
  5. With Tyrod playing well enough to keep us in the playoff race into December (and healthy), what would have been the benefit of announcing that Cardale has surpassed EJ on the depth chart? When has a similar situation happened, ever? I have very little with which to base my opinion of CJ, just like you, but to say he's no good because the team didn't officially promote him to #2 is just absurd, IMO.
  6. @JasonLaCanfora... •16min sources tell me that #Bills GM Doug Whaley wants Cardale Jones to be 2017 starter. Further, team sources tell me that Doug wants to draft a CB no one has heard of with the 10th pick, and then a kicker who needs hip surgery in round two.
  7. Funny. I've always pictured Gugny, in my mind's eye, as a rotund Asian woman.
  8. Welp. Any CFL teams worth rooting for?
  9. Good for him. I sincerely hope the flip-floppin dbag turns his life around.
  10. My wife and I are both going to have lasik done this summer. I had perfect vision until my late 20's (I turn 38 on Saturday), but my vision seems to have declined every year since then. I can read just fine without glasses, but I'm pretty much blind to anything 10 yards in front of me. I figure the surgery will pay for itself considering all the cash I spend on glasses/contacts for the both of us. My buddy had it done in Albany last year, and he says it was really easy. In and out of the "OR" and you're home sleeping it off the same day after a Valium.
  11. I have been doing the same thing. My son is in his second year of U8 travel hockey. He grows out of his pads like every 3 months. I've learned to stock up on cheaper clearance items in the spring. With the exception of skates and helmets, I have enough brand new equipment stored away right now to last him through U10.
  12. He can be traded, is my understanding, between 3/9 - 3/11. I expect there to be some offers if they choose not to exercise his option. There are some QB desperate teams out there.
  13. Interesting. Having watched quite a few FSU games, I was just going based off of my "eye test." I think his shortcomings can be coached up, and he could be a quality starting RT or (at the very least) OG. You like Garret Bolles, Antonio Garcia, or Taylor Moton better? I see those guys going in the 2nd-3rd round in many mocks.
  14. I'm not saying you're wrong, but there were at least 3 guys (Smith, Nassib, and Manuel) with 1st round projections, IIRC. I see a group of prospects being over rated due to positional need.
  15. Interesting thought...
  16. Excuse my ignorance if this has already been covered, but if they have decided to move on from Tyrod, what would need to happen for them to trade him. It seems as though there at least a few interested "suitors." Is this even a possibility?
  17. "Say hello to my little friend!!"
  18. Roderick Johnson, Florida State, would be awesome at 44.
  19. On a positive note, he reminds me of a young Brett Favre. On a negative note, he reminds me of a young Brett Favre. Doesn't seem to jive with the conservative Kubiak/Dennison offense...run the ball, take chances passing down field off the play action, and don't turn the ball over. This kid is a gun slinger.
  20. Close...central Vermont. You can buy it on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/Original-New-York-Seltzer-12-pack/dp/B00XCN3NJ2?th=1
  21. "Value" RB picks in mid-late rounds are a good idea, IMO. Especially if they are good special teamers. How Colton got his groove back? Seriously, what was his problem this season? Pro bowl to toilet bowl. I wouldn't waste a pick or FA money on a punter, BTW.
  22. Great road win. I can't believe I'm watching the same team that lost to St. John's by 33. Seems like team morale and chemistry, in general, has improved. I love the brilliant improv by Lydon at the end (it was drawn up for him to get that shot), and an amazing clutch shot by the frosh, Kid Mamba. Let's hope JB and staff can whip this defense into shape. They are getting better, but D is still our glaring weakness.
  23. DT and DE should be addessed through FA and the draft. I like Dareus/Williams/Washington combination on the interior, along with Hughes and Shaq on the ends, but we need depth. I don't feel, however, that we need to spend a first or second round pick there.
  24. It you're referring to New York Seltzer, you can still find it. They carry it at Price Chopper here.
