  1. Moss plus two bigger WR's is a nice complement of skill position players to the team. AJ helps the biggest need on defense getting younger along the DE particularly at DE but the skill position infusion of talent is quality.
  2. We will wait and see just how much the Diggs trade will change the fortunes of this franchise. What I hope is that Diggs comes in and is this team's WR1 for the next 3 seasons and maintains a high level of production the next 2 seasons. That would add the needed punch to the offense and provide the gains over a long enough period of time to justify the significant draft capital and cap space put into it.
  3. This was a solid draft. They filled their depth and role player needs around a solid roster while adding one good foundational/starting piece to the D-line (AJ) not much else you could ask for esp in a draft lacking a first round pick. Setting aside Diggs as part of this draft this draft very much added a lot of good talent to the roster in areas of need. AJ is a possible starting caliber player at a position where the team was older and long term needed to get younger as well as could have used a short term depth piece. Moss adds a good complement to Singletary and allows for this team to be set out of the backfield the next 3-4 seasons. They then got a couple of young WR's that can provide short term depth and possibly take over for Brown and Beasley long term. Fromm is a good prospect and could take over for Barkely in 1-2 seasons. They got a kicker to compete with Haush and a nice project corner to add some secondary depth on the PS.
  4. Good move for Winston, he needs to get some help to harness his insane talent level.
  5. Need is always a factor in picks. Anyone who thinks otherwise is sticking to some fantasy.
  6. Strict BPA is also stupid and no one would do it. Would you draft 5 RB's if they all happened to be the best player on the board?
  7. The thing with Star is that if he is the player he was in the later part of the season he is a really good player. But he hasn't been that guy consistently. Vernon Butler is kind of the same (albeit at a different role) in terms of his play. Granted this is off write ups and a little film but from what I know Butler can be flat out dominant but his play lapses a lot too.
  8. I think he might take a year to be fully healthy. But I think with the insane depth at DT they can work him back as a rotational player.
  9. I think Star's role is different. Star was complete trash for a lot of last season but from Thanksgiving on his play improved a lot and so did the rush defense. The biggest knock on Butler is that he is inconsistent.
  10. Trent as good as he is, is still a 31 year old Tackle with an injury history who requires a big contract. Fans clamoring for him are falling in love with the name..
  11. Harry was about to have a breakout season last year. I firmly believe his injury is what set back the rush defense in the middle of the season. So while I do agree that Jefferson is the second best DT I would put Butler about the same as Star and Henry.
  12. DT is 5 deep with starting caliber players. Ed Oliver was above average as a rookie and fished strong, Quinton Jefferson was a impactful starter on a good defense last season. Henry Phillps was about to have a breakout season last year before he got hurt and should look to be a rotational player there. Star finished the year strong and plays a role in the defense. They also added Vernon Butler who is coming off his best season and is at worst a high end rotational DT.
  13. Nice depth pick, love how McBeane really understands the needs of the team. Grab a CB in round 5.
  14. None of them are as good as Diggs
  15. WR or a secondary player for depth would be a nice way to round out this draft in round 4.
  16. I like Addison to add some more pressure off the Edge and AJ adds some depth, I think Hughes also has one more solid year left. Murphy also is a rotational player. I like AJ more as a future piece than for short term impact but the depth a flexibility he provides is helpful.
  17. I love it, great value at a position of need. Go get a WR in round 4.
  18. Spain is at worst a midlevel starting guard. I don't see a weak link on the Oline granted my projection of Ford is optimistic. Dawkins - Above average LT Spain - Average at worst Mitch - Top 5 to 7 player at his position. Feliciano - Average to Above Average Ford - I project him to be more consistent in 2020 and at least be an average RT They have Long, William's, Ty and Bates off the bench all of whom I think are starting caliber players.
  19. All 5 offensive line players were playing with each other for the first time last season and Ford was a rookie at a position that takes adjusting for alot of players. Oline is a unit where continuity matters more so than any other unit. I think all 5 starters along the O-line are average or better players (all of whom are under 30) and there is quality starting caliber depth behind them. I think Ford being more consistent and the continuity will propel the unit from a mid-level unit to a top 10 unit.
  20. The youngest DE on the roster is 30
  21. This is also a deep WR class there will be good options to add a skill position player in round 3
  22. I think Ed Oliver will be that elite guy.
  23. Fournette is a head case, definitely not a process guy. They would probably sign a RB like Carlos Hyde if they can't get a RB they like in the draft.
  24. They probably don't like any of the QB's available.
  25. Klein is being paid like a starter, I just don't see what good replacing Edumonds or Milano in the Nickel does unless you draft a player who can play in the slot corner spot regularly
