  1. not fair to post his kid. I can't be mean bernards gonna be having to quickly react to crossing routes in front of him that will disguise the routes. if I'm McDaniel I use waddle and hill as decoys to draw open the middle of the field. It'd be easy. id call the bluff that Bernard effectively hands off coverage and count on the fish in the seam. Bernard is going to have waddle, mostert, a-chan, and a man who beat a pregnant woman, child, and an old man crossing all over his face. If they can do this early and provide what we expect them to then switch step it over to simply make it an outside hook then that pass is there all day for 4-5 yards to 7-8 the way we play our defense. do this on the weakside. Do this with a leaking RB, or a TE sitting in the middle box to occupy and be the dump off and make us choose 3-4 yards check down or 6-7 yards at the hash. Either way, with that area of the field open it is prime for speed to busy one down the gut.
  2. not to dump on a former player but i am encouraged that our new MLB can read the QB and play to this ability. in the past we had an athletic MLB who could rely on his abilities to make up for his lack of reading the QB. on the other hand i am concerned about Bernard being exposed too early and would rather have played McDaniels in a few weeks vs week 4. if anyone is going to find his flaws it will be a guy who has never been laid, spends his time reading LOTR, and has the entire Twilight Collection. that "guy" is mike mcdaniel. it'll be a good trial by fire for bernard but he is already showing his ability to read and react is more valuable than the athleticism of edmunds.
  3. Charlotte is not showing the bills game at 1 to compete against the Panthers game. Instead they are showing a CBS late game of raiders/chargers That's insane.
  4. Baltimore Cleveland. Are ***** serious?
  5. I would consider returning your rental early and then Ubering to the airport. I have successfully waited about 30 minutes after the game to walk over to the ECC Uber lot and got to the airport by 6:30 for a 7:45 flight to RDU. In some cases you are better off waiting a little bit after traffic clears to have a better route and options to get back. Waze can do you well. If not, simply get as far away as you can. Especially driving East. For the home opener I left with 3 minutes on the game clock, parked at Hammers and had to move my way across the crowd walking by moving just a fraction of an inch each chance i got. It took 15 minutes to get into the road but once i did i had the whole lane to myself. I was on the road by 3:55, on I90 by 4:15. I was in Pittsburgh by 720pm. By leaving 3 minutes early I was about an 45 minutes ahead of my normal checkpoints. When I leave after the game, without rush I hit Pittsburgh by 8:30. Greensboro airport i got there 30 minutes before my flight, got through security 10 minutes before boarding and made it. was lucky af. seemed liek the good old days.
  6. WEEK 5 UPDATE: BILLS vs. JAGUARS (IN LONDON) Good late Wednesday for everyone. Yesterday was a doozy for me professionally, so forgive my delay. Per suggestion I will keep the weekly Buy, Sell, Trade an ongoing thread to keep our receipts. We are on to London and Week 5. We rocked Miami's world and have the chance to impress this weekend against the Jags who can be quite tough but there are some chances to really flex against a lesser opponent. ************************ ORIGINAL POST: We missed last week and I missed ya'll. Well, that's ok. I think we all knew going in it would be a strong weekend for us. So, let's catch up. Did you miss anything last week? How do you feel about this weekend? Just a reminder - this is completely abstract. If you say "buy" it is simply a suggestion/opinion that the said player/group will have something to offer which you can state your reasoning upon. Selling means you think this player or group is not something you'd want to invest in going into the weekend, just like a stock. And hold - it is simply that if you may like it but you don't want more but you won't get rid of it yet because there is something there which you can testify for if you choose. Me? I got some good thoughts: BUY: Dalton Kincaid. Josh will be throwing to Diggs a lot who will be double teamed the entire time. I think Josh will have time to let Kincaid get some routes in and he is capable of running a route tree across the middle and picking up short yardage. SELL: Bernard. Simply put, sell while the stock is high. This guy could not have earned more confidence last week in any other way. I hope he can continue to excel and contribute but boy, oh boy, it's like Tesla hitting 250. Even if it's going to the moon - cash out now while you can. HOLD: Dorsey. Let's see what he puts on the field. We can't ditch him this weekend but I want to own this stock this week to watch it against Mini McDaniel.
  7. a vey big concern for me is compromising any scheme we have to allow open lanes for the running backs to his a second level. Achain and Mostert are very fast and shifty. they can 1-1 beat our DB's. if they penetrate through the DL they're going to break a run off and we will not catch them. this was something i brought up and i think it was hoof hearted had asked about. a cover 2 will leave us exposed to have our slow CB's attacking across the field and uphill to the running back. per hoof or whoever we haven't been running cover2 as much this year. and in the raiders game i definitely did notice that. i couldn't see enough vs. the jets (which was atypical considering rapp being in the box often) and vs. the redskins i didn't get a chacne to see it much. a cover3 or 4 could press what seems like man coverage against the the outside WR.
  8. this season more than last he is getting to his second and 3rd read very quickly. he is very, very quick at processing right now.
  9. he's been ripping through his reads very quickly. he's becoming a very good quarterback.
  10. could also very much see this as a game where it's a chess match close to the chest and the total points under 45 with a final 21-20.
  11. I agree on this. Everytime we go in thinking it'll be a high scoring game the coaches know it, too. They do everything they can to limit the scoring and play smarter. This is why I am concerned with the heavy boxes on 3rd and 4th and shorts where speed through the front line leaves the backs wide open to bust one.
  12. What will it take you to believe Buffalo is legitimately better than Miami this Sunday? If the game finishes Buffalo win @21-17 I may not say the Bills are better overall and just played better.
  13. I agree he has those. I agree it is what is needed. But I am not sure he can contribute with limited experience.
  14. No, you did no but I said not solely directed at you, as well. A lot of people are thinking Elam is going to be part of the factor Sunday. I don't see how or why.
  15. Not directly solely at you but why should we believe a guy who has not played in almost 9 months is going to show how be a difference maker? Even if he has great talent, he hasn't seen the field to develop and learn his game, develop a feel for the NFL, or contribute toward the team chemistry. I am very annoyed by this. He is supposed to be a first round talent. He needs to be active and playing, if nothing less than to see garbage time experience against more than just practice squad players.
  16. Missing tackles is huge. All of this is on point. A) his quick read will test Bernard quickly. He could be a lynch pin factor. B) we can let Tyreke run free and get in anyone's head. Laying a few good licks on him early could help but he could easily burn you any given play. C) our cover 2 defense needs a Rocky type change. Learn to fight right handed. Learn to fight cover 1, cover 3, learn to play man this week. D) if they want to fly down the field, so be it. McDaniels isn't going to be a fool. He will try to slow us down just like we will try to slow them down by playing defense. E) every yard on the ground counts because it is time. If we get a lead and by more than 10 I do not want to see one snap made with more than 6 seconds left on the game clock
  17. Edmunds should have seen that lineup in KC. Fraziers best games were behind him. I don't know if they cost us the SB but the window closed in KC. It is amazing how they valued him at LB. Chicago has a fascination with LB. Always has and it's cost them. To drop Roquan Smith and likely have the plan to bring Edmunds in was insane!
  18. Can someone post a link of the play?
  19. We are playing a good team so we must simply play smart, play well, execute, and make opportunities turn in our favor. Good offense is a good defense. Jam the WRs off the line Make the officials call the penalties We lack speed, so cover 2 would be hard - cover 1 is fine. Rapp at MLB won't work. Bernard & Milano with a 3 man high octane rush.
  20. Thought I saw him when I glanced at tv
  21. Was AJ Klein active today? Missed most of the game.
  22. The news station that released it for sure was not cool.
  23. I wish I could find my quote after we got Edmunds and Milano was still first year, or maybe it was after Edmunds first year... I said Milano will outplay him and be more important to this defense than anyone.
  24. I don't count big the one or two big plays he makes. And that fumble thing he picked up and ran, I don't count that either. The sooner this jerk is out of the league and bankrupt then the sooner he will be to joining a long list of other has beens like himself
