I do not have exact specifics. Those aren't the points I'm sticking on to be disappointed with the government on. The government had travels bans in place and allowed this to happen. I don't have proof that they allowed this to happen but anyone with half a lick of sense would not only realize the government knew about this but likely provided security is telling.

Yes. The 911 operations and such said they will not be servicing calls during the blizzard. Ambulance, police, fire will not be in operation. They did not explicitly say don't help people and go help the Bills. They said don't answer calls. And then went to help the Bills. Even if, and I'd need to check my timing, Erie county and Buffalo reopened - it is incredibly poor to have used government to help sportsballmen - even our beloved Bills. Terry, Kim, etc could have flown a rented a snow machine, helicopter from Cuse, whatever. They have the money.

Yes. People being ignored by the gov they are to trust for assistance and protection? People who never got home from work, had power, etc were ignored. How dare those folks have outrage! And I think we all need to be happy a group of sportsballmen got assistance because they wore souvenir Buffalo massacre tshirts and helped raise money! Those two issues don't have to be linked. Take away the Bills. The government ignored the travel ban for a group of people to travel while condemning others to die. It's as simple as that and this is why you cannot trust the government to care. Edit: also, the town of OP did not cease other operations to help the Bills. They didn't stop going on calls or do anything that strained their obligations or services to their community.

People are making a big deal of it rightly so... Last month the citizens decided to act on their own. Those that wanted to make the risks and choices to assist were able to. This time, as government does, you were taken of your right to choose. You were told you must stay home, must not leave, no emergency services offered. But the governments not only turned a blind eye to this they enabled it with security and safe travel. The problem is not the Bills or the people. It's the government. Regardless, your argument doesn't do much here because you are viewing the situation through a poor lens.

Exactly. I'm not mad at the Bills. I'm not mad at the civilians who broke rules I'm disappointed in the government (police and politicians) who let this happen. You can't treat one class different from the other. ***** curfews, restrictions, etc.

The thruway is closed for us common folk is my only guess on what could happen for the Bills. I know there a many exceptions to travel bans in most cases - I can travel any time, fwiw. Health care workers, and people returning from work may travel in all cases I've ever known.

I missed some big swaths of the game due to all that holiday BS. I didn't see the improvising when I did see the game. Miami is a better representation of the Josh that goes to cinci.
