Interesting ESPN article (re Allen): death of the deep ball
boyst replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall
This means power runners, who can move down the middle of the line and attack the smaller DB's are going to continue to prized possessions. Unfortunately, the NCAA doesn't develop these and all of the best athletes have been playing CB and WR for the last decade or more, with many beginning to become TE's who have the luxury of size, speed, and soft hands. When the NFL can find athletic RB's, the pure freakish RBs, it is gonna be something. The lack of development of RBs trend has to buck. We will then go back to the 80's and 90's with the Ricky Waters's's's Thurman Thomas's, Emmett Smith's, Marcus Allen's, etc. I keep hoping one of these Alabama guys - Najee Harris, or some other dude will be the answer. But so far the closest we have seen was unfortunately Breece Hall. -
Last call for anything from Carolina. I didn't get a chance to get any honey for the trip. I'll bring some good ciders from my favorite cidery down here. If anyone has anything else let me know.

Puts me into Brockport for a little while.🤣. Don't forget it was just a year ago that I went to the Patriots game, got 5 hours of sleep, got to the airport and had my flight canceled and scrambled to get out of there.. and failing. Then renting a vehicle at 4:00 p.m. and driving all the way home through the blizzard to get home at 5:30 and go into work full shift until 5:00. And then the gym 🤣

Do the Bills need a " Quarterback Whisperer?"
boyst replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
i think Gunner nailed it. he needs a shrink more than anything. -
Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, and Tre'Davious White are the best Bills players, but who's the best of the best? It's a tough question, but I think it's Allen. He's the heart and soul of the team, and he's capable of carrying them to victory on any given Sunday. But enough about football. Did you know that the average person walks the equivalent of five times around the world in their lifetime? That's a lot of walking...

I had noticed something and hadn't been sure. This maybe the nail on the head.

alright, abe to line everything up. i am going to drive half tomorrow and the remainder to brockport saturday morning. i will leave after the game to begin the trip home and drive until 9 or 10ish and get a cheap hotel to cut down on the major 9 1/2 hour drive.

look at how others have done it. you pick a player, or even ap osition group. go back and look at how it's done last week. i'm going doing your homework for you, sue.

Of course. And I am not sure if Sunday was a bad game or part of a trend but he has been regressing over a period of over a year now.

come on in boys, the waters just fine. i'm sure they did but if a player of mvp talent doesn't respect his coaches and staff - then it's the wrong staff. he has sung many praises of dorsey but maybe dorsey's ceiling is a QB coach/passing coordinator type. he's young, he'll develop to more hopefully. allen is a generational talent, hands down, no denying it. get the coach that can coach him.

100% i think every year someone plays the part of the lil fella.

I think that's going to be a career statement for Brown. He just can't be that bad.

Good afternoon, Gents. After a rough week 1, how did you do with your choices? Many took Kincaid and he got a lot of snaps but didn't offer much. Let's hope we can see a trend hope we don't give up on him. So, on to week 2. What are your picks? Me? Buy: Allen. His stock right now is going to be low and everyone knows he isn't going to repeat that performance. Let's see what he follows up with! Sell: Rapp at LB. I don't know what went wrong, and I'm not blaming him. But it didn't seem to go right. Hold: Brown. I really think he will be better against lesser defenses, and I think he can still write out to be an average starter. All right, guys. What's your take?

May have to pull out of going. A lot more just got put on my plate as during a bathroom remodel the coincidence of the water heater going out came up. Maybe just the thermostat so I have to look at it. Putting deadline as 11am tomorrow to flip the coin on going.

no one has the balls to mention Peterman never had a regression after 6 years. we made a mistake with Josh.

Who gives a ***** if he does? If pegula said this then he should be punished for being stupid. That's it. I can only imagine the reality of following 99% of this forum behind closed doors and in private settings. I'm sure a lot could be made to look bad, and we are not angles. No one is right all the time. I hope I'm not being obtuse drawing parallels to our lives and that of rich billionaires, in just trying to set the record straight no one is perfect. Many of these posts have been accute to the point.

i hate. absolutely hate. that the "win the playbefore the snap" became a saying but it is so damn accurate. back in my day we just called it reading the defense but in todays nfl world the play is won or lost before the snap and anyone with football intelligence can read a play based on formation and personnel. @GG is extremely good at this. part of the whole advancement of the game has made it easier to figure out the Bills defense with the hidden cover 2 lineups poyer and hyde were so good at in the past. the script is out on it. before i got the boot from the shoutbox i used to diagnose the play for funsies there.

Jason Peters sets record - oldest practice squad player
boyst replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
when we could have signed him he was only intending to sign with a team pre-week 1 if he was going to start or be on the active 53 to enjoy a full year of pay and benefits. but he should have been signed -
83 yard run. Sean McDermott made an interesting comment.

When there is next to no chance of that breakout play happening and Hall hadn't yet really started to get hot? Nah, unfortunately, I don't think so. -

And to call a timeout on a play that starts at the damn near goal line of the opponent where in any other world a player doesn't break a 9999 yard run? He was right not to call it. And this is why I wanted Klein to start the season to mix in reps.
