Tannehill on the outs in Miami
jester43 replied to Hazed and Amuzed's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. tannehill was extremely precise/accurate on that TD drive, hitting receivers right in the numbers an instant before they got hit. I KNOW he has been inconsistent, but those were passes you never see from ej. 2. i think our line is better, i think our receivers are way better, and i think our running backs are way way better than the guys they put out there. I know they had better guys who were hurt, but i am talking about that game on 9/14. i think if we could play that game with the QBs switched, Tannehill lights it up and EJ gets embarrassed. Tannehill had guys in his face all day, and EJ wilted vs SD against pressure that wasn't even as intense as what the Bills but on Tannehill. I think Tannehillsees the game better than EJ. It just moves too fast for Manuel and I don't know what you can do about that. I thnk a top 10 QB like Stafford or even Dalton would light up the scoreboard with our offensive talent. More creative coaching would help too, but I don;t think you can coach EJ into thnking faster and seeing much more than he does right now. whoever said above that he was top 20 at best is right, i think. I thnk Tannehill's ceiling is higher. -
Tannehill on the outs in Miami
jester43 replied to Hazed and Amuzed's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It sucks for Miami that he has been so inconsistent, but Tannehill's 3rd qtr here in Buffalo is better than anything EJ has done in his career to this point. i think if you would trade QBs for that game against Miami the score would have been Bills 48 Miami -14 ...our offensive talent is so much better than theirs it's ridiculous. -
Tom Brady, Cam Newton among Pro Bowlers to worry about
jester43 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know i am not supposed to say this, but to me that just proves how great Brady is. To have the year he had last year with the garbage they give him at that position (not to mention no gronk) is astonishing. Can you imagine what EJ would look like with those receivers? Maybe Brady's hitting the wall this year, I don't know, but holy crap he does not have much to work with. -

Love it when people on this site get their panties in a wad because sully/schopp/bucky/graham/harrington are too "negative." Since those guys are all just Way. Too. Mean. ...here is a link to the type of Bills(and Sabres) coverage you all crave: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ky3Ordfqn88 ps....just pretend the unicorns are bison and it should work just fine for you.

It's hard for me to believe Ralph plotted all that out for himself in his 90s. I'd bet anything his beancounters hatched that scheme. it's also hard for me to believe that none of the owners figured out that lease meant the team would be all but impossible to move. My feeling is that they approved it only out of respect for the old man, knowing that if they didn't get the Bills into LA/Toronto., there will soon be new opportunities to get teams into those markets. It wasn't because they got fooled. I mean, really, does anyone think guys that successful in business are that naive? Anyway, my prediction is that if no one moves there by then, just say f- it and expand to Toronto and LA by the end of the decade.

Nobody picked the Bills this week

there's your problem. -
How loud will the Ralph actually be?
jester43 replied to GrizzlyAdams's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it'll never be as loud as it was when there were 10000 more seats and it was harder for opposing fans to get tickets. but it should still be pretty damn loud. i'm sorry i can't be there to help. -
The all Tebow for the Bills thread
jester43 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jax is just fne at QB with Bortles and their backup (Henne) s as good as Tebow. When Tuel/Lewis were the backups I wanted the Bills to give him a look...it sure isn't because I "like" him. Now we have Orton and this thread is totally unnecessary -
Nobody picked the Bills this week
jester43 replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
why does anyone care about this? ever. -
they should be as focused and hungry as any Bills team we've seen in the past 10 years. i think miami will be good ths year, so I'm hoping the Bills Fish rivalry is renewed for the next 10 years with Tannehill/Manuel as the star of their teams like Kelly/Marino were!

The Pegulas FIRST move as owners has already taken place
jester43 replied to MAGIC MAN's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
oh cmon....then what is he doing on the sidelines at camp mediating an argument between the coach and GM. what is he doing practically shoving whaley out of the way for camera time n the bills' draft day vid? why is on the phone wheeling and dealing with the Browns for that matter? If i was Whaley i'd be sick to death of this guy. i don't believe for a minute Brandon has stepped back from football. and i think he gets too much credit for the "amazing" feat of generating a profit for the Bills in the NFL....an industry with shared revenue and a license to print money. Ths weird story about "Executives" throwing Marrone under the bus last week the last straw for me. I hope the Pegulas take Russ Brandon out with the trash. Every time he's gotten near football it's been a mess (2008 draft) and he doesn't seem to have the good sense to stay away. Making the trip from Mexico to Buffalo for this sunday's game!
jester43 replied to JMora's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
holy crap! I wish I could shake your hand on Sunday! what a day for your first Bills home game! I hope some of the regulars give you the red carpet treatment Sunday. And if you witness anyone joyfully copulating in the parking lots, please be understanding- we've been through a lot. -
I'm not listening but i'll hurry and turn it on now...thanks for reminding me. I happen to agree with that point, and anyway why would you get your panties in such a wad about the premise, anyway? why so threatened when someone doesn't share your view on sports? luckily for us, the bills won the turnover battle, and if they hadn't the story would have been the lack of pass rush and chickenschidt offensive game plan. so yeah Miami's win looks pretty good next to ours..
-
bleah...jauron ball...what year did he win the super bowl again?? i'm loving being 1-0, but i am not sold yet at all. they're not going to win the turnover battle every week. they'd better start getting to the passer...are they really going expect to be successful rushing 4 guys all year? it will not happen. and they will not score enough points throwing 22 times a game to win more than they lose. you got the weapons hackett...now get them downfield and use them. if you want to see what our RBs can do, let's create a situation where opposing teams are actually worried about our passing game. until then, i will just be glad we escaped this one. go bills.

Matt Ryan threw for 400+ yds vs Jairus Byrd
jester43 replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i have a problem with a guy who fakes being hurt for 6 weeks to make point. screw him, i hope he hurts his PF for real this year. a lot of people have had it, but you don't develop a 2month case of it in the off-season when the goal is recuperation. i have giuded a lot of really good athletes through that injury and it just didn't happen the way he said it did. -
