  1. i was at thatt one too....the tailwind behind Christie was ridiculous. if you can ever imagine a line-drive 58 yard field goal that was it. That was the same wind we tried to run the flea flicker into during OT, which was utterly stupid. Wade.
  2. of those mentioned n this thread I think only Polian and Hull have a shot. Washington probably deserves consideration. And Fletcher, no way. I don't care if he Sam Cowart only played 8 years (thanks to that prick frank Middleton)...Sam was 10x the linebacker Fletcher was, is, or ever will be. And he's not going in the hall either.
  3. took my wfe to her first bills game that beautiful sunny day. she literally fell asleep. and she wasn't drinking. it remains the only bills game i've ever walked out of before the end....let alone the only tie game! the whole display was so pathetic that we left at 3-3. the tailgating was way more fun. i was there! it was an 89 yard run, but still... me and mom and dad were up high in the upper deck whooping it up...only 3 Bills fans in the place that I saw that day. it ended up 30-21.
  4. "mocked" him from the opposite sideline? i did not pay much attention to this incident at the time, so can you tell me exactly what he did?
  5. i consider myself a Harbaugh fan and wanted the Bills to make him rich to lure him here. I also don't think Schwartz was the greatest hire (hope to be proven wrong there). But having said that...to slap a guy on the back like that after a tough loss, was a complete a-hole move. I don't blame Schwartz for trying to give him a piece of his mind. I think what put him over the top was everyone pushing and shoving him away from Harbaugh and I really can't blame him for getting pissed about that either.
  6. http://www.store716.com/product/in-tim-we-trust-t-shirt I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Erhoff took off every other game last year.
  7. <yaaaaawwwwwwnnnnnnn....> hm. players running their yap. when's camp start again?
  8. You don't have to teach me what it is...i was just about crippled by one...and had it successfully repaired surgically...i so it's hard for me to see how you know enough about what happened to him to declare his diagnosis "dubious." Mine was confirmed with an MRI that showed two tears. When your r.a. muscle has torn away from your pelvis in two places (as was mine) and every other muscle in your pelvic girdle overtightens to deal with the resulting instability, you are in a world of hurt. i went from being in the best shape of my life to being barely able to move in the space of two months.
  9. i don't understand your comment? is it that you think he's lying? i had one and i can't fathom playing football on it.
  10. The new frontrunner in the Connor McDavid sweepstakes! seriously...i liked him a lot when he was here....wish he was better. good luck fitz
  11. no doubt he was one of the greats. he and Shula and Landry were the coaching titans of their generation.
  12. another reason to watch pro rugby....they don't ruin the broadcasts with commercials either.
  13. RUGBY FOOTBALL is the 2nd-best football...way ahead of so-called "futbol.": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2B0EviQDB0 if more nations played it on this level it would be as good as the NFL. Unfortunately the All Blacks and South Africa only play 2-3 times a year. And only Australia (and maybe now the bloody Poms?) is even close.
  14. Behavior won't be a problem, but what you are describing is sort of what I am trying to avoid. I realize there may be no way out of it, but we'd like to avoid spending 1-2 hours each way on customs. I was thinking walking across the bridge might be faster...but was hoping for an expert opinion.
  15. Hypothetically speaking... I might be traveling to/from the Canadian falls with 44 or so healthy energetic young adults. Would it be quicker and easier to drop off from a charter bus on the American side and walk across the Rainbow Bridge, or suck it up and try to get the whole bunch of us through customs on the bus? I haven't been in Canada since the passport requirement kicked in so I don't know how much more complicated it is now to get over and back than it was 8-10 years ago. I know everyone needs a passport, and that's about it. It is a day trip. So it would be nice if we could get back in the country with minimal misery at the end of the day as well. And we'd be going in October. Any advice/opinions on how best to do this from my border-hopping Bills brethren?
  16. international professional rugby is so much more fun to watch than soccer. way more action and strategy...and the players don't flop like bitches. the only drawback is that there are only about 8-10 countries playing at the top level...and even then there are only 4-5 serious contenders for the world cup. but the games are not won 1-0 on penalty kicks and punctuated by flops and phantom calls. that, and they don't murder the refs.

  18. There is no one whose job it is to talk on the radio for 4 hours a day every day who doesn't say something dopey once in awhile. I really like the show a lot, Schopp in particular. He is very different from most sports talk guys, but for me, he makes some subjects interesting (tennis, baseball, sports memorabilia) that i would never be interested n otherwise. That s a bout the best complement I can give someone who does that. I don't agree with every single one of his opinions, but why would i? There's no one else in my life with whom I agree 100% of the time either. Ask my wife. But I do like hearing hm shoot the **** about stuff with Bulldog. The show evidently gets good ratings because those two have been together a long time. I haven't the faintest idea why some people say he "hates" Buffalo or the Bills. I don't hear that at all. Good show, and hope it's on the air for a long time to come.
  19. tell ya what....i don't want him cut either, if only because there is no way they can replace him with anyone better at this point. BUT...that idiotic son of a B word could have killed any one of us walking out of that restaurant at the wrong time. and that's pretty hard to look past. he get as high as he wants, and that's no surprise anyway...but he's WAY over the line driving around like a maniac on the streets where people (who mostly adore him) live and work. get your **** together dareus...just because you've had tragedy in your life doesn't give you the right to put other people's lives in danger.
  20. How much longer can this thread go on before someone references the Rusty Jones firing.
  21. I am not ashamed to admit that as a high school kid I was sure, as in ABSOLUTELY 100% CONVINCED that Tony Eason would be the better player and the Bills had made huge mistake
  22. i didn't read the thread yet cause i'm n a hurry (back from a weekend out of town) but i ave to say i am impressed with this guy, and i think the weak link n thw chain might be marrone not whaley. we are starting to get our hands on some talent and i like it.
