  1. ok guys...we got a break now lets harden up
  2. this seems like a good day to put another coat of stain on the deck
  3. totally correct
  4. yeah really....if you can't finish in the top 6 out of 16 at least every 3rd or 4th year...that's pretty bad. and that really puts the bills failures in perspective.
  5. EJ's confidence issues (aka "yips") come along with realizng he's doing all he can and it's not good enough yet. to me it sounds consistent with a guy being thrown in before he was ready. whoever said he has "slow eyes" nailed it. he's just doesn't see enough or react fast enough to play the position well right now. i didn't want to accept it when the draft-day consensus was that he was a reach, but that clearly turned out to be the case. he's not good enough yet and he knows it, which is why he's regressing. hopefully he can learn and grow from it. that's not out of the realm of possibility. the blame falls on the "braintrust" for assuming they could just pluck the next wilson/kaepernick out of the draft and plug him right in.
  6. correct. remember a few years ago when seattle won their awful division with 7-9 and hosted a playoff game...and won it? Putting the Bills aside, that is why i HATE 4-team divisions. but i guess that's another thread.
  7. I'm an expert and I'm picking the Bills to win.
  8. lol...yeah probably. cbiscuit, refresh my memory...aren't you one of the guys who's always piling on the media around here for being too mean? first you don't have to "call for" marrone to go if they don't make the playoffs...he will of course be gone if they don't, no matter who the qb is. (unless terry "what-has-he-done-wrong" pegula is even more batshcidt crazy than i think he is, which is possible.) but if you are looking for heads to roll, it should be for not having a better option at back-up ready when the season started. they sign orton after the pre-season's over and now they're starting him? did they not see EJ at all last year? how in the world did they not see until now that they needed another good QB? it is mind boggling. the only real question is WHO is responsible for this fiasco...it's not totally clear, whether it was Whaley who insisted EJ not be provided any competition or Marrone. Or maybe they both wanted it that way, in which case they should both go. I am not convinced Russ Brandon wasn't involved, as I think he is still way more involved in personnel than people think. And really, what Whaley supposed to do about that? Tell his boss to buzz off? Thank god Marrone had the balls to recognize the obvious: They reached badly for this guy and he's getting them beat. The bills would be 4-0 right now with any one of at least 20 other QBs on the roster (there are at least 2 dozen guys I'd rather have) and if you don't want to lose the locker room you can't ignore that. you watch these guys play their asses off and go win in detroit now.
  9. the "we like reich!" stuff was idiocy. this is totally different. EJ is not going to do anything but get us beat. Orton may do the same (although I bet things get better) but we gotta try something.
  10. add Bortles and Bridgewater to the list. And Orton, I guess
  11. Adam Kaplan confirming. Marrone presser about to start..hope Kaplan is right!
  12. Why is everyone so sure Pegula is gong to come in and fire everyone? Doesn't anyone here know how hard he clung to Darcy? And who is he going to trust to find his "football man?" We got extremely lucky that Lafontaine found us Murray...Pegula himself has shown that he doesn't know his ass from his elbow when it comes to picking hockey guys. I'd still love to know what went down with Lafontaine. whatever it was, it was a hue cluster!@#$!
  13. can you say BLOWN COVERAGE? you will never see a more wide open receiver on a bomb. the DB took a nap while williams was running by him, but as it was, he stll had to slow down for the ball. I am not criticizing EJ for the throw, but to claim that as evidence that we need to throw 50 times a game is dubious.
  14. he outplayed manuel and his team won. meanwhile tannehill was 23/31 for 278 yards, 2td, 1 int.
  15. Fitz (LO FN L) at you right now.
  16. dirty play by henderson but i guess we don't care.
  17. evidently you don't know that, if you think our qb has much of a future in this league. Laugh about Fitz if you want, but their careers are both done, I bet he'll have accomplished more. Look- and I hope this is not too abstract for you- on the list of 24 qbs who are better than Manuel, there has to be a 22, 23 and 24. if you want roll around on the floor laughing and bump him up to 22 or 21 or whatever, that's your prerogative....but it doesn't really solve the Bills' problem. And if you want to tell me the Bills wouldn't be better off long-term with Kaepernik or RG3, HOWEVER their seasons have started, then I just don't know what to say, other than to suggest you keep that conversation here on this site, where the other pollyannas will find you and back you up. .
  18. what in the world are you talking about? can see your little circle jerk feels good, so i won't interrupt, but i posted that video to show you guys what it looks like when a young qb actually has command of an offense.
  19. yes, miraculouusly, i have seen these players play, as have most serious football fans who aren't 12. and since you now put him above kaepernick and griffin i realize how dumb it is to even talk to some of you guys. just watch this and tell yourself manuel is good:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BX5_-EhEo9g
  20. Matt Ryan Joe Flacco Cam Newton Jay Cutler Andy Dalton Brian Hoyer Tony Romo Peyton Manning Matthew Stafford Aaron Rodgers Ryan Fitzpatrick Andrew Luck Alex Smith Ryan Tannehill Tom Brady Drew Brees Eli Manning Geno Smith Nick Foles Ben Roethlisberger Philip Rivers Colin Kaepernick Russell Wilson Robert Griffin III yes Hoyer, both Smiths and Tannehill go on the list. We'd be a better offense with any of those guys running things. And after this weekend you can add Bortles.
  21. haha ok, right, instant pudding. there are at least 2 dozen teams who are getting better QB play than we are. and that's being charitable. how long are we supposed to wait? he better get his head out of his ass this week and finish a couple drives for a change. Don't think the receivers aren't getting sick of it. Now Goodwin's out because Manuel got him killed and i am sure Watkins is thinkng about that when he goes over the middle. one other time i got sucked into the vortex of one of these stupid threads i found and posted the link to Kelly's rookie year...the difference is astonishing. and 86, that was a team with no weapons. of course no one who thinks we have a good QB commented because i guess it didn't "fit their narrative."
  22. narrative my ass. i want him to be a stud. but he's slow, misses open receivers and is not accurate enough... and i don't exactly enjoy thinking Miami has a better qb than we do.
