Sorry, was busy "indirectly" running NASA with my tax dollars.
But excellent point. With indirect pressure of countless millions of NFL fans, Jones will force any/all other interested GMs to believe that Dak is not worth nearly Mahomes money.
We don't at all. We may pay for tickets, buy merchandise, pay for TV viewing....but we have no say in who gets what. Love or hate Dak/Jones, there's no effect.
This story is a year old. Why is this guy tweeting it now?
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-owners-to-vote-on-wild-rule-change-that-would-allow-a-fourth-and-15-onside-kick-alternative/
"A dramatic rule change pertaining to onside kicks could be coming to the NFL in 2020 if the league's owners vote to make it happen. The Eagles have proposed a rule that would give teams an alternative option to the onside kick. Instead of trying to recover an onside kick, teams would have the option of attempting to convert a fourth-and-15 play from their own 25-yard line"
Burrow looked as expected. Herbert was better than expected. Jones had 3 big games his rookie year (accounting for 1/3 of his yards and more than 1/2 of his TDs). He led the league in fumbles with 18.
Yes. He's that good at predicting the best QBs for the NFL, yet he had Herbert (and Burrow) behind bums like Jones. If the rule is that no snaps can't get you ahead of a starter, then don't rank them.
I do. They re-work deals. But converting salary into prorated bonus pushes a bigger cap hit into the next season. How do we know there will be full fans in the stands this season? This will again negatively affect the cap in 2022.
Going into this season, he had Kyler Murray ahead of Brees, Rivers, Ben, Brady, and Josh. Drew Lock Daniel Jones ahead of Burrow
He had Taysom Hill ahead of Justin Hebert. He had Wentz at 6, Cam Newton at 10!!
Enough with this guy already.
There wasn't a living human on Sept 5th 2020 who did not understand that there would be cap issues for 2021 due to the pandemic. The Buffalo News, reporting on the contract at the time, specifically mentioned a predicted cap of only 175 million. They say his contract reflected that so there's no reason to believe he would agree to rework it again
