  1. ala Jim Mora? I don't think so. Good 'ol Dick is making a smooth $3 mil per season. Even a Yale educated man can figure out that to be a pretty darn good deal for not providing any services in return.
  2. Agreed. And please, please, PLEASE fire John Guy and Tom Modrak with Jauron.
  3. Start at the source of ineptitude for the past 9 years. Only 2 goons (well, 3 if you count RW) have been here since the start of this downward slide. Tom Modrak and John Guy. These 2 are WORTHLESS!! Move Brandon back to PR man, and hire Holmgren, Gruden, or Shanahan to run the coaching and GM duties. Or promote Buddy Nix to GM. Only then, do I believe, will the Bills start to field a winner. Talent-wise, I agree with the players- they are close and have the talent. The O-line could now use some veteran help, and the wise move would be to can Chambers and sign Runyan. But how could they consistently not be prepared to play? That's the head coach.
  4. Yes sir! IF the Bills continue this trend San Fran is my #2 team since the 80's. If The Bills ever move, I will be a niners fan. Gotta love Singletary.
  5. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Love that final comment...
  6. Whew! Just as I was about to jump and end this pitiful existence as a Bills/ Sabres fan (what a weekend for my birthday- thanks, guys), this post brought me back.
  7. Well, I'd give Eric Wood a pass. Maybe Fred Jackson too.
  8. Who says he was smiling ear to ear? If he was, that sucks because he pretty much is one of the major reasons why they lost.
  9. Promoting Bobby April to fill Jauron's role would be the ultimate act of cowardice by Raplh Wilson. This team needs a dramatic kick in the arse and someone of drastic attitude to change this culture of losing. Gruden comes to mind...
  10. Maybe now Runyan can be a legitimate topic of conversation?
  11. I say get Runyan (NOT for name recognition, but because Chambers SUCKS!), AND Garcia. Let Garcia's mere presence light a fire under Owens arse! This team needs some venom!
  12. That is so funny that you say that! I was sitting there when it was 31-10 thinking to myself, "Hey, it is only (ONLY) a 3 touchdown game, keep passing it down the field, and we might be able to pull this off. It's onl the 3rd quarter. etc, etc" Then my reason kicked in and said "this isn't your Jim Kelly Bills, Red." That was then sealed with the failed onside kick on the next play.
  13. IMO, those two losses set the Bills back a few years (I believe that they still are paying for them) and should have been retained.
  14. That makes two of us.
  15. I second that...I refuse to pay for the 'SuperFan (Or is it 'StupidFan)'?
  16. Please bring him in this week...
  17. and wasn't New Orleans supposed to be their "statement game"? To come out completely flat (not the defense) against a team like NO escapes all senses...
  18. Absolutely I agree with this post. Watching the first game against the Pats, with the effort and the fact that is was really a single mistake that lost the game, I was excited about the season. The Bills deserved to win that first game on their hustle and tenacity alone. But this makes 2 weeks in a row now of lackluster effort. No to little passion. No drive. Nothing. Just flat. And lets remember last years record against division opponents. It was 0-6. So far this year, its 0-2. The Bills are, I think, the only team in the league that could make TO irrelevant. Ofcourse, that's not by defensive design- rather, it's by adding him to their "offense". Fire Jauron, hire Gruden, Shanahan, or Holmgren, hire Jon Runyan because Chambers really, really sucks. But do it quick. Because the Dolphins were there for the taking. They are not a superior team.
  19. Tim Graham? Is it you? Or are you Sullivan?
  20. Yeah. After the offensive ineptitude displayed by both Greg Williams and Jauron- both defensive specialists- the HC should come from an offensive background. Holmgren, Gruden, and Shanahan all have the track record and offensive experience to turn the Bills around.
  21. agreed. And just like in SB XXV, if they want to go with 2 down lineman, then running should be the cup du jour. If opposing defenses want to run double coverage against 2 men (4 against 2), then logic would dictate that there are only 7 defensive players left with 9 offensive players, and there should be mismatches all over the field. Fred Jackson has ripped up the league for the past 3 weeks for exactly this reason. Owens has helped the offense thus far; just not in the stat column. I personally don't see a problem with it if the Bills are winning. Last week reeked of weakness, though. The Saints were there for the taking. AVP has no reason not to have run the ball and used the short to intermediate passing game to move the chains to atleast kick field goals to put points on the board. To have held that Offense to 10-7, Payton has no right opening his yap.
  22. This offseason the NFL changed the rules on the 3-man wedge block on returns. This was the bread-and-butter of Bobby April the past few seasons as the Bills were ripping up the league in return yards. Now with the new changes, it seems that ALL of Buffalo's return game is suffering.
  23. What he said. Truthfully, I was hoping that the Bills had gone for Garcia a few years ago before Cleveland did. Garcia is a QB that, for whatever reason, has just about always torn it up (forget Cleveland) but never gets the credit he deserves. TO mismatch notwithstanding, he would be an excellent #2 (or Trent transition QB) to step in at times such as these where Edwards is struggling to see his open receivers. Oh well.
  24. B Rob, I appreciate your input- I sincerely do. I don't know how long you have been a fan. I started back in '88, so I grew to expect those Super Bowl teams and successes. I've also been paying out of my arse for NFL Sunday Ticket for the past decade because I no longer live in NY, and it is growing old. I mean, if not for the Bills, I probably would not put in the time and money in the NFL like I do now. I am a fan of the Bills. But when does this devotion become insanity? Is it wrong to hope for something of a winning record and maybe a sniff at the playoffs? Is the past 10 years of devotion to losing football a price any fan worth his salt must pay, or is this a time when a good 'ol refusal to pay for and accept losing. I mean, if you want to keep paying for mediocrity for the sake of fandom, be my guest. But Ralph and the powers that be need to see a collective drop in the pocket book to wake up and take this seriously.
