Which goes back to my last paragraph, Bledsoe was good enough to help you win, but if left to his own, he would find a way to cost you the game. Bledsoe did not beat the Patriots. The BILLS beat the Patriots. Any game where Bledsoe was tasked with leading, or where the pressure would be on him to win, he found a way to turn the ball over and lose it. Yeah, and how many Super Bowls did Bledsoe win with all of those passing yards? How many playoff games? Stats are meaningless, amigo.

IS there any chance he would be available at #34? I think taking any QB in this draft at #3 overall would be a huge mistake. I think from an overall team approach we need two things in our defensive front 7: 1.) a mean, stout DT that will push the pocket, free up our LB's, and demand double teams and 2.) pass rushers that will consistently get to the enemy QB. I think the true impact players that can come in and contribute right away will be available at #3 and #34. Fairley, Dareus, and Von Miller all look better to me at #3. Then take that QB at #34.

Whoa! Not so fast, bud. Why does Bledsoe get a pass? He cost us a 1st round pick that was sent to our division rival Pats, and he could never beat them. Sure, when you talk about lack of injuries you could say he was dependable. But maybe we weren't watching the same Bledsoe. The Bledsoe I saw had an amazing first half of the season when he was with us his first season (which he also had his first year w/Dallas), throwing bombs and lighting up defenses with Peerless Price and Eric Moulds. But opposing teams got smarter and better, and that steam started to run out after midseason. We couldn't run very well, and our defense could not stop anyone. We were constantly in shoot-outs. As our defense improved, Bledsoe was exposed for grandpa in the pocket...he had lead feet. If there was a pass rush, he was going down. He also had that tendency Buffalo QB's have had this past decade (Fitz excluded)- which must be a Modrak requirement- of staring down your receiver until you release the ball. Bledsoe, JP, Trent, even SJ were all excellent at this! Oh, and I think JP learned how to hold onto the ball too long from Bledsoe himself, because they both were masters of that craft. Then, you have the amazingly ill-timed turnovers Bledsoe was constantly responsible for. The play that most stands out to me, is a home game against the Pats, the score is something like 14-14, we drive all the way down to near the goalline as time is winding down. We score, and we probably win. What happened? Bruschi busts the blocking, sacks Bledsoe, and he FREAKIN' FUMBLES THE BALL!! Bledsoe was easily as good as JP with throwing the terrible INT, or fumbling the ball that would go to the opponent when we were just starting to build some momentum. My summary of Bledsoe: good enough to HELP you win, but without a strong supporting cast he was bad enough to COST you the game.

I say Dareus. Fairley sounds like a version of Vince Wilfork and his cheap shot ness with a little Haynesworth slackitude built in. Newton also has had his mix-ups, which I really don't want in the leader of my team. We need a dominant DT, which would demand double teams. This would serve to 1.) free up our LB's to tackle, 2.) make the edge rushers better able to get into the backfield as more blockers are focused on plugging the middle, thus freeing them up for pressures and sacks and 3.) force QB's to throw when they don't want to, which will increase the INT's and amplify the abilities of our DB's. If we can consistently bottle up the run, force other teams to have to pass, and keep scoring...sounds like the recipe for success. We pick high in the second round, so I think a QB will be available early in the 2nd. And if not, we could use a DE or LB or T. I don't think any QB's in this draft will translate well to the NFL. Just because we pick #3 overall, does NOT mean it has to be on a QB, IMO.

He's the Pozluzny of the secondary- made of glass. Or anabolic steroids. I don't think that there have been any legitimate studies to date, but juicers tend to break down much easier. It's a shame, because Sanders was all-world before falling apart.

I watched a few Dolphin games, and Incognito did not get blown up, pushed back, and he seemed atleast servicable in run blocking. There's got to be something else at work here. That's somewhat of a surprise. Jonathan Scott need no fanfare. He barely held his own, had help most of the time, and only saw the field because of the incredible string of injuries to the Pittsburgh tackles. True, he has played in a Super Bowl, but that is more because of his teammates that because of anything that he put together. Next you'll be asking for the return of Langston Walker.

The joke as I read it is that the ride is worth more (and worth keeping) than the Bills themselves. With the roll-in field, the fans of LA can then play football themselves on a real field. In other words: even though the team would make money, their not worth it. They can have more fun with the field themselves than watching the Bills.

I thought Jauron left the building? Our run defense was terrible, especially up the gut- and that's no offense to Kyle Williams. We need a much stouter run front on the D Line. Getting a snarling immovable object of a NT/ DT in a Pat Williams mold would make the LB's better by tying up blockers. It would also make blitzes more effective. Which would mean forcing QB's to hurry their passes, which would make our secondary better by being able to capitalize on poorly thrown footballs and create more opportunities for INT's. How does drafting a CB at #3 fix the interior run defense?

I don't know. This is proverbial Raiders territory. Everybody else's degenerates, trouble makers, and malcontents eventually become Silver and Black. Atleast, that was the legend. Raiders haven't lived up to their own hype in over a decade. Plaxico is like Vick territory for me. If you're stupid enough to do time, then I don't want you on mine. Pass.

The Bills need a mean arse Simoan on their team. Especially on the D Line. Kidding aside, this guy seemed to play pretty well for the Dolphins. He certainly is not the big name player, but as has been mentioned run-stuffing, gap-plugging NT's for a 3-4 are hard to come by in the NFL. We'd have stiff competition. But for the right price, he could be a good fit.

I'm happy that they are keeping the helmet. I love that logo. I liked the new jerseys with the white pants when Henry and Bledsoe played for us; but then they went to all blue which I thought could use a makeover. I liked the 90's uniforms. The throwbacks are cool, too. Hiring Dave WAnstadt was pretty cool news... ...but I agree, news like the firing of Tom Modrak would make my year!

I hate these "artists" who try to make the song about themselves with their own personal wrinkles thrown into it in a vein attempt to differentiate themselves. Aguilera is a disgrace, and performed the same. I agree with previous posters that somebody should be selected that will sing the song. Whitney Houston did it the best.

Maybin needs no defense. His play on the defense is truly...offensive? Let the play on the field do all of the talking. Potential means 0. But he sure is costing quite a few 0's for no production. Maybin basically qualified as a luxury pick. A "project" (though even that is now dubious as he continues to show nothing). A pick that teams that have a star-studded roster make to play with. But when Orakpo and Oher are sitting there, and we take Maybin? Orakpo has now been to 2 Pro Bowls, and Maybin has been to how many exactly? That...is...just...pathetic! Maybin might be able to compete at the female level...

If you think about the businessmans way that Golisano ran the Sabres, do we really want more of the same with the Bills? Thanks for your "interest", Tom...but I think we need an ownership group/ owner who loves the team, loves the City, and wants to win a Super Bowl. "Breaking even" doesn't sound like a winning strategy to me.

I'm looking forward to this. My opinion of Golisano is not so rosy lately. Everyone keeps harping on the 'thank you for keeping the Sabres in Buffalo rant', but 1.) let's be honest- Golisano is a businessman who no longer even lives in the over-taxed, Nanny State that is NY. He is a BUSINESSMAN first. I don't buy the bleeding heart routine. He did not buy the Sabres for charity's sake. He, after seeing the housing bubble burst and how his tenure has gone- is similar IMO to the slime that helped create the housing crises by buying more than they can afford with the hopes of flipping for a profit. 2.) Bettman repeatedly stated during the time that the Sabres would not be leaving Buffalo during bankruptcy. I think that it has less to do with Golisano and more to do with the NHL and Bettman as underwriters that kept the Sabres in Buffalo. That being said, we can then look at the Drury, Campbell, and Briere fiasco's and IMO were nothing more than penny pinching. So much lip service from Darcy over "keeping your core", and for the past 3 seasons we have been lamenting and trying to replace all 3 of them to no avail w/bargain basement clones. I think that in the beginning, Golisano ok'd the "home improvement", paid for the renovations of the kitchen and bathrooms (because these increase the value of the franchise) to increase the curb appeal of the club to prospective buyers. In hockey terms: Golisano and Quinn gave Regier the ok to get Drury and Briere, but then proceeded to not pay for performance when the bill came due. Once the curb appeal improved and the value increased, he stopped investing in the club.

Reading that article, I come away more disgusted with anything as politically correct and moronic as the Rooney Rule. Looking at the list of teams Fewell interviewed with, you know that atleast two of those were fluff interviews set up to simply satisfy the Rule, and not because Fewell was a serious candidate. I think rules like this do more disservice to all involved; particularly those they are intended to serve. Let a man be interviewed and hired based solely on credentials, not have to entertain formalities to get what is really wanted. I'd be insulted if I was Fewell. I don't know. I just get the impression that the Rooney Rule is a front to appear diverse. Same thing with Leslie Frazier last year.

Interesting, but how did I win if they don't already have my information? Traditionally it seemed that boxers were most hamstrung by economic stupidity. Figured they became too punchy, trusting some bottom-feeding scum bag to manage their winnings. Football is a dangerous sport with violent, high speed collisions. The research on concussions is well documented. But how can they be so blessed with athletic ability but suffer from a severe vacuum in between the ears? And how sad was that? McGahee turned out to be a total douche, and as far as football on the field is concerned, minus his fumbling problems Henry was a bowling ball when he played for us. A tank! I was sad to see him leave. Then all of that "baby mama" idiocy came to light, and I said good riddance.
