  1. assuming this is close to true....then he gets FRANCHISE TAGGED for at least 1 year....maybe 2...(unless they know he is damaged goods). the franchise tag for O-lineman for 2012 was $9.4 mil , which is down from the $10.1 in 2011. "IF" healthy, miami would be crazy to let him go. the big red flag for jake long is his back.....that back injury may be the reason for his drop off in play....( ie terrell troup). http://www.cbssports...475988/34834810
  2. and jay.... btw, mario is 3rd in sacks amongst D-lineman...
  3. if your talking about Howie Long....howie is NOT Jake's father.... Jake is a 4 time Pro Bowler...2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011.......that's not hype.... he has been injured of late .....end of 2011 (back) and was just placed on IR this week with a triceps tear to end his 2012 season.. while he may no longer be "elite".....he is certainly an upgrade over hairston. he is just 27 years old.....
  4. fitz & sanchez have the exact same problem.....they throw a horrible deep ball....deal killer !!
  5. i know these guys have a personal life....but, he was inactive yesterday due to a calf injury. on the way home from the game yesterday, listening to the radio, when asked by a reporter, gailey said Donald was held out for as much cautionary as it was serious. bowling is not exactly a strenuous activity, but recently Andrew Bynum (NBA) reinjured himself bowling and experienced a "setback" in his rehab. i just find it odd, that if your injured enough to miss a game, you probably shouldn't be out the next day in a public setting, bowling, golfing or whatever.... anyways, he didn't seem to be favoring either leg.... nice guy, was with his family and some friends. even autographed his jersey for a fan.
  6. out 2-4 weeks.....knee...partial mcl tear....no surgery
  7. 21st overall.......probably 30th on deep throws (deal killer)......NOT good enough nfl passer rating says 17th nfl total QBR says 25th
  8. he has 2nd round talent.....so based on his lack of discipline...i project he goes in 3rd round. janoris jenkins is a similar case.....1st round talent......taken in 2nd round...
  9. they got better without Kelsay....and a healthy Super Mario is earning his nickname....
  10. tennessee game comes to mind.... last possesion of 1st half.....8 passes / 1 run.......ended in a fg. last possesion of 2nd half.....4 passes / 0 run .......turnover on downs.
  11. heard on the radio on the way to game today... when Fitz attempts 30 or more passes a game, the Bills are 5-21 win loss record. when Fitz attempts under 30 passes a game, the Bills are 10-4 win loss record. fitz's pass attempts today.....17.....the bills are now 11-4 when under 30 attempts.
  12. don't get too excited yet.....i remind you of one of the rules... As always the Hammer has Final word. good luck......hopefully he enjoyed his wings today.....
  13. how do teams like Pit, Balt & NE keep finding talent without picking in the top half of draft ?
  14. just as a point of interest, during the last 9 seasons, the bills have never finished 8-8
  15. AFC - Cleveland...Leroy Kelly, DT's Jerry Sherk & Walter Johnson.... NFC - Dallas....Coach Landry and a cast of stars....
  16. as per buffalo news.... Attendance: 53,971 winner: 54,321 - Matt in KC
  17. as i was leaving the stadium today, i could hear someone yelling ....9 & 7 BABY !!!
  18. ABSOLUTELY YES !!..... it's like when a golfer gets a new swing coach....it takes time to be able to repeat it naturally.
  19. the ball was tipped.....he was throwing to the pylon.... i have no opinion on murray.... and before this thread gets rerouted to the college forum where threads go to die.... i suggest only two forums....the stadium wall and off the wall.....
  20. great question... 9-7 ......2 teams made the playoffs last year with 9-7, one team made playoffs at 8-8. 4-12......last year that would get you a Top 5 draft pick...... i pick 9-7 every time....
  21. Reports are still coming in regarding a tragedy involving the Kansas City Chiefs, but here's what we know at this time. Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher shot and killed his girlfriend at a house near the team's facility on Saturday morning. Yahoo Sports' Jeff Passan, who is on scene, confirmed the name of the player after speaking with local police. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/report-chiefs-player-kills-girlfriend-takes-own-life-154951891--nfl.html
  22. Per Jay Glazer of FOX, Chiefs players are being asked to assemble at the team facility for a meeting regarding the situation. More details to come. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/12/01/report-chiefs-player-commits-suicide-at-arrowhead/
  23. SO YOUR SAYING OUR FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT ?
  24. not sure if you checked, but the previous low guess was 4........
  25. Levitre is a better LG than Byrd is a free safety. Levitre will be tagged if needed. the bills are smart to try and get Byrd out of the way, so they can save the tag for Levitre. having said that, safety "tag" money is alot less than O-lineman.
