  1. thurman had a pre-game ritual of placing his helmet on the 34 yard line.....it was moved by stagehands to set up for Harry Connick Jr's performance of the National Anthem. (he missed 2 plays). Flutie's height based on my own observation...was 5' 9"......he was listed at 5' 10"
  2. did bruce utter that curse after waking up from behind the wheel of his running car at that intersection ?
  3. #1- eliminate the Pro Bowl game and replace with an Awards show the week prior to Super Bowl where all can attend. #2- eliminate "tie" games in regular season. #3- increase active game day roster to allow for a third QB
  4. get one of those deer skin pouch things....no metal.... bring bailey's, buy coffee.... bring liquor, buy your mixer....
  5. which is why i think smith or barkley will be there when the bills pick.... I think Barkley will only be successful in a West Coast offense where you can limit the amount of down-the-field throws, and his vertical accuracy isn't that good. With Smith, I think he's still developing as a quarterback. He's a smart kid, he works unbelievably hard and he has all the intangibles you're looking for, but a little bit like Christian Ponder, he didn't always transfer that information on the field. Ponder would often lock in on his initial read, and I think there's a lot of the same questions about Smith.
  6. he'd have to clear waivers....
  7. in the NFL..the "future" is only the next game......
  8. 31 to negative 7....by halftime......
  9. Of course, the Jaguars have the ability at any time to make Babin a free agent. Since he already has received (after his 2008 release by the Seahawks) termination pay in the form of the balance of his base salary, the Jags can cut him at any time, without owing him any more money or taking a cap hit. Babin is due to receive a base salary of $4.225 million in 2013, along with a $100,000 workout bonus. His base salary increases to $6 million in 2014. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/11/28/babin-can-leave-jaguars-after-2013-if-he-wants/

  12. ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was fined $30,000 by the NFL on Wednesday, but says he didn't kick Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub on purpose. That's why Suh insisted he doesn't need to apologize to Schaub. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8686909/ndamukong-suh-detroit-lions-fined-30k-claims-kick-matt-schaub-houston-texans-purpose
  13. Bills' Brandon: Jacksonville game will be blacked out http://wgr550.com/Bills-CEO-Russ-Brandon--Jacksonville-game-will-be-/14889454
  14. Ralph Wilson is one of the Crown Jewels of WNY.....we are lucky to have had him..... what has bucky ever built ?....NOTHING !!!..... it's so easy to tear someone or something down.....a little harder to build something.
  15. couldn't disagree more.... butts in the seats will be the single greatest factor in preventing the bills from relocating when there is an ownership change.
  16. Dalton would still be "inactive" learning the playbook and A J Green would be the 3rd wideout....
  17. telegraphing your punches ?? geez, why not just give em your first 15 scripted plays.....
  18. i have it on good authority that the reason we haven't seen tjax is that he is struggling learning the playbook....
  19. both jax and st louis have given up quite a few sacks......mario should be able to add to his totals.... also, amongst defensive lineman only (no lb's) Mario is 4th in NFL for Sacks.
  20. to think we could have had EITHER dalton or kaepernick instead of aaron williams in the 2nd round makes ya sick.....
  21. boycott = FAIL !!!! "Cutting off the nose to spite the face" is an expression used to describe a needlessly self-destructive over-reaction to a problem.
  22. SF wouldn't trade Kaepernick for our 1st....
  23. #1- the season is NOT "officially" over......but i'll play along..... #2- we are drafting a QB in the one of the first two rounds.....buddy has already said this.....it is very likely one of the two, first round rated qb's (smith and barkley) will be there when we pick.
  24. Mario is a stud.....and will only get better as he gets healthier.....
  25. i predict: Fitz will be the starting QB for next season's opener. even if we draft a qb in the first round and for sure if we pick one in the second round, they will probably give him a year to develop. Chan is 50/50, buddy has already gone on record as saying chan will be back. the only way chan goes if he stands in the way of firing wanny. Wanny is gone. he will be the sacraficial lamb (justifiably) to create "hope" in the new season.
