Time to repeat this again. Been a fan since the 1964 AFL Championship game (6 years old). My uncle worked at Chevy and they made the big bucks (relatively speaking) then. He bought a color TV and invited everyone over to watch the AFL Championship. Had seen color TVs in the department stores, but that was the first time I had seen one in someones house. That's the first game I remember.

Anyone who equates 1/6 to Watergate is full of it. I'll consider your points if you were old enough to understand what was going on when it happened. I was in my junior year in HS (Amer. History) and the teacher had us watch the recaps of the hearings every day and discussed what went on and how it related to the Constitution (she was teaching that at this time of the year in 1974). If you are basing your points in what has been said in the years since, IMO, it is garbage.

I had a touch of aphasia after my stroke in 2014. I had lots of trouble recalling names for a couple of months. An example was Steve Buschemi. I knew he was in the Snickers commercial where he said "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia"I also knew he was an actor and was in Fargo and The Sopranos but could not recall his name no matter how hard I tried.Finally I said that and someone and they told me his name and I repeated it to myself hundreds of times. Aphasia can appear as having the words on the "tip of your tongue". Or it can appear as the wrong word being said.

I worked with someone from Kansas City. She grew up in Missouri, the people across the street lived in Kansas. Said she lived on State Line Road.

My dad was stationed at Pearl Harbor during the Korean War. There were only three hotels on the beach then, including the Royal Hawaiian. Parents went there for their 30th anniversary in 1986. They were on diamond Head with a tour guid and my dad asks where the Royal Hawaiian is on the skyline. The guy says "See the tower and then the smaller building, and then that teeny-tiny little roof. That's it. "He told my dad there were>100 hotels there then in the 80s. He told us about seeing the superstructure of the Arizona still sticking out of the water when he served. The memorial was still ten years away. The barracks still had the bullet holes in them from 1941 to remind everyone. When they visited in '86, the whole area was housing for retired admirals and other high officers.

Went for a checkup Monday. Ask how I'm feeling. Fine except the aches and pains of old age! Just had a day or two in the last 5 years where something doesn't ache. They asked a lot of questions about my mood this time. No problems since the stress is off me from taking care of my mother in her last year. For some reason, I was depressed the day I turned 30 back in 1987, but only that day.. Back in the 80s went to the Smithsonian and they had an exhibit about the evolution of appliances. they had the Maytag washer with the wringer we had when I was a kid. Felt old then.

Well, they made Russ feel at home by making their own dumpster fire!

When I was at UB decades ago, a girl was wearing her boyfriend's Grand Island (Pork Chop Island) HS letterman's jacket. A lunch of Lon Guylanders were talking about what town they were from. She, wearing the jacket, says that she is from the Island too.They asked Massapequa? Islip? where? She replied " This is WNY, not NYC . Grand Island you idiots."

Worked at a Denny's in college and laughed at people trying to pronounce Scajaquada. After several attempts we said "you mean the 198 right?"
