Went to the game before that one, vs SF. I remember we knocked Brodie out of the game and won. Only game at the Rockpile and my first one. Next year(OJ's 2000) went to 5 games.

The reason you ould make it home was because of my brother and the other guys he worked with. He works for the Erie County Highway Dept. They spent the whole game plowing Abbott and other county roads around the stadium.

Didn't go down on the field that game but got hands on the goalpost from the tunnel end. After they tore it down, people passed it up in the stands and it came up ours (goal line on that side) before being tossed into the parking lot. Remember my mom screaming at the top of her lungs as we all passed it up. She also got to witness the greatest comeback in person too.

Fetterman still isn't recovered. After my stroke in 2014, I didn't drive for a year. I remember being in the bed in the nursing home in rehab watching a SF Giants game (I lived in the SF area then). I knew it was a baseball game and it was the Giants but all the players looked like they were standing in a line. My brain couldn't process the visual signals correctly. I saw the same thing for a world cup game. Luckily, his lasted only a few days but I didn't know if it would. I could have been like that the rest of my life.

i remember reading rhat in my childhood (60s) WNY was a big test market for cereals. Remember seeing cereals for a couple of months and then disappearing and sometimes coming bak a year later. Makes sense with the General Mills factory still making Cheerios and Wheaties.
