  1. So you won't be voting for Hillary, correct?
  2. To be honest, I just don't see her losing, unless she absolutely implodes are some other candidate really catches fire. I'd say as of right now she stands a good 75% chance of winning....Where did I get that number? Straight out of my ass, but that's what I'd think.
  3. You know the old Potter Stewart saying, right? I think that applies
  4. This is a nearly an impossible situation to resolve. From the Israeli perspective: Every where they look, whether it's to the east, west, north or south, people hate them. They wish them harm and for the annihilation of their civilization. They've been attacked from all sides and as a result they took territory to give them a buffer zone. From the Palestinian perspective: Every time one of the supporters of their own country wish to fight back through means of terror or indiscriminate rocket attacks that usually hit innocent bystanders, the Israeli army exacts revenge and ends up doing ten times the damage that they received. They are constantly being suppressed and bullied around with no hopes of a semi civilized functioning economy. It's one big cluster!@#$. Best thing that could happen is for the Palestinians to purge the likes of HAMAS and for the Israelis to understand that there will never be peace for them if they don't give up some territory.
  5. Argentina so far has done a masterful job of balancing their attack with their defense. Brazil thought they could play a "full court" game so to speak vs. Germany, mistake. You can't play that sort of tempo vs. the Germans, they thrive when their is tons of space. The games where they have been most vulnerable throughout the tournament has been vs the teams who have relied on a compact defense. Of course, those teams typically haven't been able to get many scoring opportunities because of the over emphasis on defense. What makes Argentina extremely tough to beat is that they have that ability to pressure deep on the opponents end of the field and quickly get back organized on defense. They have been able to stifle Belgium and Holland's offense and limit them both to few scoring opportunities. Should be a hell of a game, but I believe Germany still pulls it off.
  6. And it's not just that he has blazing speed and that he consistently attacks and puts pressure on the defense, but he has some of the quickest feet you will ever see. When he comes at you like a blazing locomotive train, it basically forces the defender to have to act one way or the other and the moment the defender makes his move to displace the ball from him, his feet are so quick that he is able to make the move that results in either him blowing by you or getting fouled. Even though he embellishes the foul, most of the time there is indeed a foul that does take place. In any case, Robben and Messi in my view have been the two most valuable players for their teams this world cup.
  7. Everything that has been said about Robben has been somewhat true, having said that, there hasn't been a player that has been as dangerous as he has this world cup. The guys one on one skills are absurd, seems like no one has been able to stop him when he runs at you at full throttle. The guy is great.
  8. Sure you did, and you were called out for it.
  9. So, you attempt to make a blatantly dishonest and lame post regarding the lack of diversity over at Fox, and when called out on it, you claim it to be irrelevant.
  10. Yet, they still have more employed African Americans on the set than either MSNBC or CNN.
  11. The US has made it out of the group stage in 3 out of the last 4 world cups, that would be like the Bills making the playoffs almost every year for the past decade and a half. So...... yeah
  12. Another guy that has the makings of being an absolute star for the US, should he decide us over Germany is Gedion Zelalem. He is with Arsenal, has played in a few games with the first teams, and some people said he was the best player on the pitch at the age of 17. Wenger, Arsenal's Manager believes he's a star in the making. This is the guy that could be the play maker for us in the midfield. I really hope he chooses us, and Klinsmann has been recruiting him hard.
  13. I think Klinsmann overall did a really good job with this team. If there is one main criticism that I have with him, it's that he didn't select another holding striker that could have replaced Altidore. There was no replacement for him, Boyd or Johnson should have been the back up selected. The other decision was the omission of Landon Donovan, he certainly would have been a much better choice than Wondo. Personally I like Wondo, but he was selected to this team not because of his physical gifts or skill set, but because of his knack to place himself in opportune chances and execute. Sadly, he had the opportunity of a life time, all teed up and he choked.
  14. http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2014/07/benghazi-suspect-supervised-attack-feds-say.html
  15. If there was ever any doubt that Messi has been the best player in the world over the past five years, you gotta take a look at this.
  16. Every time Yedlin has came off the bench, he has helped creating scoring opportunities. I think we need to get him on the pitch, he can either play the right full back spot and we could move Johnson to Outside midfielder or keep Johnson where he is and move Yedlin as the outside midfielder. I think we gotta find him some more time on the pitch.
  17. You are one miserable dude. No wonder many of the posters don't like you. Yeah, fitness is a huge element of the game, almost as important as skill.
  18. I don't think you can point to this game when the Germans were knocking the ball around at the end of the game to look to their fitness. The U.S is regarded to be one of the better fit teams in the tournament. The results regarding Portugal vs Ghana were coming in, and knowing that Portugal had the lead, there was no urgency to press them, considering that their spot was pretty much secured for qualifying themselves into the knock out stage. If this had been a knockout stage game, they certainly would have pressed much more towards the end, not to mention their whole game plan would have been different. They played tentatively, almost if they were looking for the draw. Which certainly is not the best way this team plays, they are at their best when they are attacking.
  19. Considering only two teams make it out of each group, and we were matched up against the #2 and #4 teams in the world along with Ghana a nemesis of ours who happened to knock us out of the last two world cups, it's a great accomplishment. But, yeah, the nerve that they would celebrate this accomplishment in public is terrible. Sheesh, just celebrate in private in the locker room, never mind the millions of fans that have been cheering you on, they don't want to see your stinking celebration!
  20. He's been great.
  21. And you are gonna make damn sure that everyone knows! See my vitriol. Hear me ROAAAAARRR!!!!! Harummphhhhhh!! You mean qualified? Yes, that is all that counts.
  22. With 5 days of rest, I think the U.S is going to come out with a more sustained attack. Belgium is damn good, but I think we can take them as long as everyone concentrates for the full 90 minutes.
  23. Portugal and the US may have received a big lift. https://eurosport.yahoo.com/news/world-cup-ghana-send-boateng-muntari-home-world-110136779--sow.html Personally, I think Suarez has a few loose screws in the head.
