The players keep talking about preparation. Just had a good feeling about McD and Beane, they seem to be cut from the same cloth in that they are very driven and detailed oriented. They both had a good track record and reading how they approach the game is what had convinced me going into the season that these will be the guys that will be the next regime that take us into the playoffs and hopefully beyond.

You may not like the moves he has made but without question Gaines and Matthews have both been invaluable to the team. Then next year we get those draft picks.

Yeah, alot more body of work to judge from McD than Beane and he has been phenomenal. But Beanes trades have produced, Matthews and Gaines have been critical in some of the victories. I've been saying it for weeks, next year will be the year that the talent on this team jumps up.

He's playing at a very high game manager roll. He's improved from last year.

The answer is: It's quite possible. Just depends if he A) continues to do these things well B) shows improvement in his weaknesses C) he leads a team to the playoffs

They need to give him some easy short throws and get his confidence up. He never had issues catching the ball in college so I don't believe this is a talent for catching issue nearly as much as a mental confidence one.

That will be partially attributed to their aversion of the concept of dynamic scoring. If the measures produce growth then there would be higher collections. For some odd reason the CBO tends to discount these potential growth policies, I'm guessing because it is too abstract for them to quantify.

I'd like to preface what I'm about to say that I think Shady is an amazing RB and even though he was stuffed in the running game his receptions were invaluable to our win. Having said that, there were plenty of plays where lost yardage that he could have made minimal gains or have gotten to the LOS, but rather attempted to bounce it out and as a result lost more yardage. Do you believe that Tolbert was able to get 3.7 yards a carry that game on 11 carries because the Broncos didn't anticipate him running the ball? The reason why Tolbert was more effective running the ball was because he was more north south with his approach. Basically I disagree with the underlined part up above. But I do agree with your larger point that the offensive line has been porous in the ground game over the past 2 games.

Whaley's. It was under Whaley's infrastructure. The way it most likely went down, McD communicated to Whaley all the prototypical sort of players he is looking for out of each position, Whaley created a list of the top prospects of the mold that McD wanted, created a draft board based off of the sort of player that Whaley scouted. McD reviewed and together they most likely agreed on certain players and early on decided he had a few players that he believed would be available after a trade down with the Chiefs and when the Bills went on the clock, White ended up being the top guy on the board when they picked.

Difficult to know the exact motivations unless one of the coaches or players provides insight to what transpired but I tend to think that McD was aware of the situation he was in that he had the luxury of all those TO's left with no need to have to save them for his offense and he used them wisely to help his defense get more set defensively and stop whatever hurry up momentum Denver could muster.

I mean, I don't want it to and I hope it doesn't. I just think considering we playing against an offensive juggernaut on their home turf that we will be giving up more yards and points than we have up to now.

What's important is that we are already a better team than last year and we have lots of high draft picks and tons of cap room to build this into an even more talented team the way this FO envisions it to be.
