I was watching some of the game and in the fourth quarter on some of their 3 WR sets he wasn't even in the lineup.

Again, how can a switch to Peterman be any worse?
Magox replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They aren't considering Peterman..... Yet. TT still deserves to be the starter despite today's game. -
TT ain't terrible. He's a good game manager QB. Today he struggled, of course losing clay and Matthews hurt and that most certainly contributed. Having said that his pocket awareness today was awful. He cannot allow himself to take those killer sacks. That hurt us

Week 5: Bengals' Game Preparation - Inactives Announced
Magox replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
More than anything it speaks to how poorly Miller has been This year. He certainly hasn't passed the eyeball test from my perspective, clearly the coach isn't thrilled with him either. How has Miller's PFF ratings been this year? -

I miss McDermott clapping on sidelines
Magox replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's going to do it every game, regardless of whether we are winning or losing. That's part of what he does to attempt to pep up the players throughout the game. -
Andrew Luck not ready to start regular season

I agree that there are worse teams than them. Cleveland looks awful, again. -
I wonder where the professional TT haters are now?

Maybe I am misreading this but doesn't it say Ron Borges as the writer of that article? -

Anything McD/Beane does he views with jaded lenses. -
Watkins admits he was selfish, upset after wins.

I remember there being rumors that the Bills were very high on OBJ, and I remember thinking to myself, who? Looking back I wish we had picked OBJ. Trading that extra first and selecting a clearly inferior Sammy (production wise) set this organization back. It was one of Whaleys worst moves as GM -

I don't believe you fully read my post. -
Would putting Glenn on the trading block make sense?
Magox replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Glenn is a good LT, pretty good pass and run blocker. He in my estimations is somewhere around the 7th to 12th best LT depending on the type of year he's having. I think he is marginally overpaid but as long as he's healthy I would personally like to see him as our LT and Dawkins in the other side. I don't think you can ever close the window for trade opportunities but if they ever did pull the trigger they'd have to get good value. -
Bills Activate CB Greg Mabin & Release WR Philly Brown

How losing Gilmore helped Bills build a winning secondary
Magox replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The decisions that were made this off season so far are the best that I can remember in a very long time. The beauty of it all is not just the on the field immediate impact that have been provided by Gaines, Matthews, poyer, Hyde, white, Dawkins, Thornton and Hauschka but also removing a couple players who were not team first kind of guys which I believe can not be understated. Not to mention all these moves gained an additional 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounder for next years draft. Think about that for a second and let it sink in. That's crazy good. Alot of reasons for Bills fans to be optimistic. -

If you were to ask me and I was either the Bills HC or part of the FO and I had a player on the team that cared more about his production than wins, then you can bet your bottom dollar I would look to ship him out as well. Because not only is that a flaw from Watkins in that particular thought, but it speaks to an overall mentality. These sort of thoughts don't exist in a vacuum, it's part of the makeup of a human being. If someone is selfish about something like that, then you better believe that this isn't the only thing he has this sort of mentality with. I think the fact that he has participated in a level of introspection and has recognized that he may have not have behaved the way he could have is a good first step. I think he also recognizes that he is operating on more thin ice now than he was before. Being traded can be interpreted as a vote of no confidence and I'm sure that it stings him personally. And that if he is not able to put up the numbers that people expect him to put up on this second team then he probably realizes that the excuse train will eventually come to a screeching halt. And if he becomes a malcontent while he has lackluster production, well then forget about it. I believe he recognizes that he is at a critical juncture in his career. Does he become what he believes he was destined to become? Which is an elite receiver. Or does he become a really talented guy that never lived up to his pedigree? You may want to ask Goff the same thing. -

Never really thought about that. When you begin to put the pieces of the puzzle together, a clearer picture begins to form. -

Your memory may be better than mine, but I seem to remember Peters playing good consistent football for the Bills prior to losing him in FA. Watkins has not been able to do that. -
Watkins admits he was selfish, upset after wins.
Magox replied to JM2009's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I don't see that he's earned $12M-$15M a year sort of contract. At this stage after your Rookie contract it should be based on what you've done not based on potential. I'm sure some team would pay around $12M a year sort of contract based off of his pedigree, but no one in their right mind can make an argument based off of his achievements that he's earned anything near $15M a year. -
Dennison Likes What He's Seen from His Offense
Magox replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The numbers are deceiving. The running game wasn't consistently getting us yards but there were a couple drives where the run game was crucial and played a role in the victory. Such as that 12m drive that took Atlanta's offense off of the field. That had a lot more value than just the 3 points that it put up. I thought that was a good point that you made in that thread. I'm not sure how you can quantify that but my instincts tell me there is merit to that argument. -

If he were a Free agent, how much would should the Bills be willing to pay for Sammy to retain him on a long term contract? $9M a year? $10M? $12M? $15M? $17M+? -
This is a guy that is all in on Buffalo. I hope he keeps playing at a high level for at least a few more years. Shady is endearing himself with our fans and that goes a long way in gaining currency within the Bills fanbase. Young NFL players can learn from this ie. Gilmore and Sammy.
