  1. We had discussed this on this thread and the other Sammy one over the past couple days. But this comment from him kind of sticks out. Hmmm
  2. O'Leary is a competent TE but not your ideal #1.
  3. He's noncommittal not because he doubts Glenn's talents but because Glenn is playing through injuries.
  4. Losing Clay did affect things Tyrod shouldn't shoulder all the blame, the Offensive Line and not having effective weapons available contributed as well The run game is going to have to get going if this team has any hopes of making the playoffs Defense did play well enough to where we should have won if we had a slightly better Offensive performance White looked good throughout most of the afternoon but he got caught looking in on that bomb to Green Our starting DB's are really good, but we lack depth and it cost us. We probably win that game with healthy Gaines (this will be addressed next year) Agree, Tate was our best offensive player (that's how bad it was) Not sure if Mabin was the worst player out there even though he had a costly 3rd down penalty that netted them points, was beaten a few other times and dropped an INT where he had great position on it in the endzone that could have changed the outcome of the game.
  5. Just forget about it! Peterman would only be going in for TT if: A) TT gets injured B) TT completely bombs out for the next 3-4 straight games C) We are out of the playoff hunt and TT isn't playing well TT has got the confidence of many of the players in the locker room and it would be a very unpopular decision with his players (even though that has never stopped them before) to take him out of the starting lineup.
  6. It's a conspiracy!!!!
  7. What are Sammy's life time stats vs the Patriots?
  8. Being on the sidelines during important stretches of the game I believe is yet another piece of the puzzle. Why would he not be out there in 3 WR set formations in the 4th quarter when they desperately needed to get some points? Was he injured? Was he not best suited to run those routes? Was he gassed? Or was it simply they had more confidence in their other receivers for those plays at that time?
  9. Great point! He shouldn't look to the receivers because they are a waste of time.
  10. Good point. Now we can check off that TT did indeed throw to someone effectively who wasn't "wide open" in the game and now use it as a blanket excuse to cover him for all the rest of the times that he didn't.
  11. You're right Promo. No one was open and he was justified to take the sack.
  12. You gotta be pleased that they aren't going to be the 2-14 3-13 team you thought they'd be.
  13. Wow! Already on Twitter complaining. There goes the whole introspection thing.
  14. I give TT props when he deserves it and criticize him when he makes bad plays. I don't see how anyone can seriously defend TT for not throwing that ball to Clay. He hesitated, missed his opportunity and was sacked as a result of that hesitation. He's had 3 decent to good games and 2 that left a lot to be desired. No he wasn't. When Clay made the break he had 2 steps of separation on him. Those throws should be made either as the WR is making his break or shortly afterwards. Let's call this play for what it was, a missed opportunity to Clay and as a result he was sacked.
  15. Clay had position on that one. If TT had thrown it right around when he broke and if it had been thrown on target it would have been a catch. The DB didn't have position to make a play on that.
  16. This is the most likely scenario. That he's a good receiver in this league that has the potential to put up some big games but is rather inconsistent. Assuming this is the case which in all honesty Sammy hasn't even lived up to this status as of yet, then trading him for a solid DB and 2nd round pick and not paying him the money that he would have been seeking would have turned out to be a good one.
  17. Yep. They were outmatched today and still almost eeked out a victory. This year is going to be an absolute grind offensively and TT has going to have to play better than he did today to get us to the playoffs. The offense is depleted and the defense is going to have to continue to keep us in games.
  18. Oh, so it's Goff's fault. It's a conspiracy!!!!
  19. I still think his pedigree will net him at a minimum $9-$10M a year loaded with incentives to make more. Some team will take the risk.
  20. Sammy's had 1 really good game, one ok game and 3 complete stinkers. Call me crazy but trading him away for a good DB and 2nd round draft choice is looking better every day.
  21. I will continue to lump them in together because these guys work in tandem with many of the decisions they make. Beane so far has made very good choices that have already yielded good results and the best is yet to come in 2018. McD has done a very good job with getting this team playing good fundamental football. We just need some more talent on both sides of the ball and this team is ready to take it to the next level. The Cavalry is coming, but not until 2018.
  22. I was watching the game but without sound. So I'm not sure what was going on there.
