  1. McCoy gets hurt
  2. That's what I believe his agent would be looking for him to get on the open market. Of course, if he keeps producing what he has been then they would probably have to readjust that thinking.
  3. I'm still skeptical that it can net us better than a 10-6 record. I think that is our realistic ceiling for this year, we simply don't have the talent level and depth to match on sustained basis the best teams in the league. Next year's team will have more talent and as a result the play calling will adjust to the new infusion of talent this team will gain.
  4. He conceded it would be nice to have him but that wasn't his point he was making which was that he probably wasn't worth the sort of money that Sammy would have been asking for. And there is very little aside in Sammy's history or even current play from a few stretches here and there to merit the $15M+ a year he'd most likely be looking to get.
  5. What an odd way to characterize the word incessant.
  6. The pressure was consistent and even though they weren't hitting him all the time their presence around Ryan to me felt as if it was forcing him to often throw milliseconds earlier than he wanted.
  7. Remember that day/practice when McD ripped into the team for their lack of effort and then the team responded with several altercations and Hughes having to be restrained and Frasier ripping into Hughes? Then there was the narrative from some Bills fans that McD was losing control of the team? Good times
  8. From my perspective it certainly wouldn't be as impressive as beating the Falcons on the road but if we beat Cincinnati, which I believe will be a tough thing to do it would prove to me that we are for real and that we stand a better than 50/50 chance at reaching the Playoffs.
  9. I'm not criticizing TT on the throw. I'm very happy that they took some shots down the field and I do believe that helped loosen up the run game. Eventually we'll connect on some of those throws.
  10. Maybe. But the point that I was making is that the receiver had beat his man, which he did and that there were several opportunities throughout the game where they had beaten their man on the longer throws.
  11. Fantastic! Thanks. I was having this discussion with Turbo and remembered that Clay had beaten his man, which he clearly did. Looks like he had him by a step and that the ball was overthrown by a foot. So close to connecting.
  12. Thank you for this. Can you post a video of this: q1 5:18 - UNFORCED ERROR - TT has time but overthrows K. Clay deep
  13. Yep, and on all 5 long balls the receivers had beaten their man. I suspect we will go with the shorter intermediate throws to McCoy and the TE's and continue trying to go over the top as well.
  14. It was his strength. He was able to find some gems.
  15. Honestly, I think we will end up somewhere around a 10-15 sort of team. We are a little short on the talent side of the equation. I do believe we will address a good portion of that by next year.
  16. When you say actively trying to acquire someone with speed, is this from what you are hearing from around the way or something you read? or? Luck is set to come back. Luck and Hilton have had great chemistry, I just have a hard time believing they'd split that up. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it happening, I just don't believe it would. I'd be down with this.

  18. A part of me is excited to begin getting this recognition. A part of me is nervous thinking this can get to some of our players egos and we drop off. And then a part of me trusts the coaches and leadership on the team to ground these thoughts and focus solely on defeating the Cincinnati Bengals.
  19. I'm not sure how we'll get there but I'm guessing anywhere from 7-9 to 10-6.
  20. How did this idea ever come about? Anything credible? A rumor? Or just Bills fans hoping for this with nothing behind it? In any case, I'll play along. I'd be willing to trade a 2nd and a 4th for him. He's young, speedy and has been very productive throughout his career. Now he's worthy of top 10 WR money! If not more.
  21. I think this game is going to be much tougher than you think. A) We are beginning to get hit with some significant injuries B) The Bengals are playing defense at a very high level C) Ever since they have fired their OC, they have been on an absolute tear in regards to yards gained, efficiency and points scored D) They are playing at home
  22. I remember criticizing his awareness on this exact same situation when he was partially responsible for the miscommunication against T. Hill in the Chiefs game. I also recall some posters who were dead set on it being Cover 2, and therefore he had no responsibility of handing off T. Hill to an uncovered zone. That of course didn't make any sense. Yes, it is very possible that the Safety should have been in that zone but he wasn't. And yes, it is clear that Gilmore saw that no one was in that zone and he still let up on the receiver. Lack of awareness. That was the criticism then, that was the criticism for me when he was in Buffalo and that is the criticism he is still facing today.
  23. At this stage I wouldn't make a move to obtain a WR from outside the organization if he didn't fit the teams long term needs. Odds are you would get more production from the PS candidates who are familiar with the system than the external options that would take weeks before they even begin to get acclimated with the offense.
  24. With KC's win tonight vs the Redskins we are tied for 1st in the AFC!
