Mike Leach has a take on QB's coming out
pimp on da' net replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dunno, I like his raw abilities but bledsoe-esq abilities are not the qualities of today's great QB's. I thought the 'Bama game exposed a slow-footed,non evasive QB whose gonna need to learn how to adapt more Marino/Brady like abilities IMHO. -
Here is the premise of most of the anger, shrewd management wouldn't negotiate against itself in this case. Kelsay being on the wrong side of 30 and has plateaued long ago, why would you set the market so high. He's been here his entire career, pretty sure you could make an agreement to match an offer(if another team's interested) but if its outside the budget, so what...you haven't won a thing with him, he's not a play-maker look at his stats. As far as the remaining LB's on the roster, go get a FA "play-maker" by any means pay him, fill the other spots with veteran 3-4 backers to 1-2 yr deals until position is solid (use the Patriots as a model). NE use to get vet LB's to use in multiple set when Bellicheat first took over and each year he'll add a young player to learn from the vet. Its not checkers, Its CHESS...

That's my thought, no way this org brings in a vet. Although J. Garcia would be nice.

Lost in yesterday's chaos
pimp on da' net replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was not Bell , it was Meredith. #69 is not Bell, He has been our best lineman so far IMHO. Wood has struggled but I would like to see him at center and try Urbik at right guard and re-invent "ground chuck". We need attitude & some nastiness on this line. -

Its mostly physical breakdowns in every positions at times but mostly our line is very weak at the point of attack. Sometimes it seems the line calls are not proper or it could be the QB isn't accounting (making a play) on the overload by the defense. Trent is very hesitant when being pressured, also GB's style of play attacks the weakness of an offensive line call. Another thing that's puzzling is our line still doesn't know how to block pressure brought up the guard-tackle gap on a twist, GB had pressure from there rushing 3 men...I did start to notice a little bite from the line later in the game, maybe they will build upon this? -
LMFAO.... LEVITRE HAS STRUGGLED EARLY ON, SWIPE YOUR EYES SOMETIME.

+1 Its time for the Bills O-line to take a MAN PILL and get some attitude. They're way to weak collectively...

Little doubt our O-Line is the NFL's worst now

Thank you. Its relative but everyone on the line have had their lunch taken from them. What has me bewildered is, they seem to be overwelmed at the point of attack on both sides of the ball. Whats up the strenght coaches? -
I Think I know What The Plan For Buddy Nix Is

So you have the coaches tape from these games? I would love to break them down for you...You must also know the routes called before hand , I take it!!!PLAAA-LEESE. Don't speak it, if you don't know it. -

WOW...WTF? How long have you thought about this? Kinda hard to hit your deep threat when the QB doesn't have the time to throw. Hell our line is continually getting blown off the LOS,hard to evaluate the WR's or the QB. THE GAME IS WON IN THE TRENCHES -
Thurman for Paladino

AMEN!!!!! WELL SAID...Its so obvious but the populace is so dumbed downed, they can't see the forest because of the trees. -
Actually Whitner was drafted 8th but I know whatcha mean.

The Bills may have to install a cut blocking technique, early in games with a 3 step drop passing game just to slow down the interior push. Miami got a lot of pressure early right up the middle, causing the batted down passes. I think this would slow this push from the D-line and give them something to think about before they bull right in. Next mix up this with some screens and draw plays to keep them off balanced...just a thought.

Want to see the difference in Trent and a good QB?

Dude take the blinders off just Bell & Green? I can recall alot of batted balls from up the middle of the LOS, you guys love affair with the middle of the line needs to stop. There were breakdown along the line by all...btw Bell had a pretty good game IMO.

Just some observations when looking at the 53
pimp on da' net replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What about B. Paschoe as TE candidate? nice size, good blocker also Chix has stated that they're gonna use the 4-3 often would a guy like B.McCray work good as pass rusher, I just don't see it from Maybin/Maybin-not. Really wished the Bills would have been pro-active and pursued Grons from the Lions would have been great... -

These guys here beat it to deaf but D.Bell has looked pretty good since he's been in there. On the other side thats a different story, I see Meredith taking that spot before season ends. Im not as high on the interior from what I saw or Stupar reaching his blocks in this scheme, Hangartner get blown up often and Levitre is a slow starter in games, so let help he doesn't get Trent killed early in games...IMHO,I say go get Hartwig as insurance just in case Hangman has a rough go this year. -
That would be great...good info.

More than likely going to the practice squad.

Mike Lombardi roasts the Bills' Front Office
pimp on da' net replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's there as a buffer for Wilson & Olerdoff, they are the one's with the final say. There was a link on here awhile ago from a former player ( cant rem the name ) who stated that Guy & co. does a good job of ID free agents. Wilson & co. decides which one will be pursued by the team. The one thing that J Guy needs to do is draw a line in the sand and either crap or get of the pot b/c the bean counters are not about winning but the bottom line. -
The Bills are not bad --- they did not game plan
pimp on da' net replied to spartacus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thank you...that's the point, if our coaches had a clue or even a track record of showing that they had one. We wouldn't have this panic from fans. I don't care if we lose every pre-season game but our starters should at least look-like they belong. -
Gonna hold you to this comment, a couple of games doesn't give defensive end enough time to dissect his weakness at the position. Will you guys please stop with this non sense, Walker was a terrible LT in Oakland they tried to save face by moving him to the RT position because that's his position in this league. Your trying to make the point about Peters and it doesn't hold up, I do agree that if he was gonna be a headache with these antics, then make a decision (which was done) but you can clearly see he knew his market value. Its not like this was Synder and the Redskins.....this was the Eagles, for godness sake. I wish he can handle the move, just as i did when we played Gandy out of position. I can only hope by the time the DE's figure out Walker that Bell will be ready to step up to the plate....fingers-crossed
