Kelsay and George Edwards exposed
pimp on da' net replied to ACor58's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a ridiculous performance from our front 7, when another team gains 200 + yds again this week. The stats don't lie, they rarely play in the opposing teams backfield or are they strong at the point of attack. Tale of the tape; Poz - 11 T 4 A (mostly 6-9 yds down field) Torbor- 2 T 2 A ( does he ever make a meaniful play? He's just a guy out on the field) Davis- 2 T 1 A ( see above) Kelsay 0 T 1 A (what a waste of a roster space but great locker room guy, maybe that's where he should stay) WTF...why not just play the rookies (A. Moats, Coleman & Maybin) and live with the mistakes? At least they gain the experience from this year and they could get valuable game experience. These Vet's are also-rans, they never make plays or athletic, IMHO we may as well go with these poss future player(s) for true evaluation. -
I do recall him rated as a 3rd OLB by sporting news, didn't see anything lower than that but most consensus followed with code words boom or bust and project. Either way Buffalo went against the norm in respect to drafting a one year wonder, who wasn't gonna start for PS if not for the injury to M. Evans
-
Either way, Modrak has to wonder how thin the ice is. Maybe Modrak doesn't want the job? He didn't want to be GM, when it was offered after TD and doesn't have it to be a full time scout. Hell he's prob wondering after his record since being here, what does it take to get fired? Or the key maybe just stay away from OBD on a daily basis and keep your mouth shout, there's know accountability obviously.

1)So in your analogy, as I'm trying to follow was the force out rule was the basis for the call and not possession? Because thats not what the refs ruled, they said he didn't have both feet in, over-looking he's lying on top of a player still in the field of play ( not that Boldin was out of bounds, making Corner out also) while trying to establish his footing, arm or a$$$. What ever happened to a knee= 2 feet, A$$ = 2 feet, etc? 2)Corner INT with Boldin....ARE YOU SERIOUS? SPEECHLESS 3)The basis for the rule change doesn't matter what or where a team place in the standing at any given time, its to correct a wrong or loop-hole in the rule. This is the NFL and these interpretation of the rule in the reg season determine the policies for the playoffs and superbowl..come on dude, I know your sharper than that?
-
I am thinking just the opposite on this, while Boldins in the field of play and Corner is touching his part of the body thats in play, makes it good. Anyway the refs blew this & we'll see a rule change after the winter meetings or before the play-off begin. Its just bad, I want us to bottom out, I want to get at least one win so as to not join the 0-16 club

We're over looking the obv here, he's on top of a player that's in the field of play putting him inbounds . All being said if that player is under him and in bounds, he would occupy that space. This brings me back to that NE game where N. Clements knocks D. Patten out on the sideline, while he's concussed & (has his leg out of bound) no possession of the ball. Bills recover the ball but the ref rule the ball out of play because of such ....UNREAL

Bills have 1st crack at Merriman.

Welcome to the so-called (insert sarcasm)righteous Buffalonian...I AGREE TOTALLY WITH YOU HERE. TRUELY AMAZING...LMAO -
WELL SAID!!!! Some posters here continue to drink the kool-aid of OBD. Player acquisitions thru various mean are possible, a team looks attractive to FA's when its apparent that the FO has a glue and direction. Some keep knocking Buffalo as not a good destination for FA but rem that a good sell job, vision and w/money would make the difference, funny how Buffalo didn't have a problem with FA's when they were in there hay-day (and I know they didn't need as many but the ones that were targeted were signed).

Did you actually read my reply? Because if you did, how is your comprehension? Where do I say build from FA signing ? I said, to break down more clearly, " I don't believe building with FA's but to be selective, sign playmakers and vet players eg. NE" to supplement these rookies. Maybe if my full time job was to evaluate present & future players and the inside comraderie that exists, I would have a list of upcoming avail FA's but its the job of the GM. Also in your comparison of these teams to the Bills, whats the missing link ( hold on to clarify) FO,scouting dept. and owner. WTF DO YOU READ OR JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS...btw I read your reply before I wrote my response.

+1 DING, DING,DING...well said. These guys are amazing and shrewd. They want to win, he just doesn't want to pay for it. Hell that whole cash to the cap crap, is so he pays the players salary with gate money. I agree that you can't build with just FA's but selecting certain play-makers on the rise in FA couple with some solid vets to go along with these rookies could legitimize the organization and get this ship righted sooner rather than later.

Hell that was a full day, its was time for a nap.
-
Thats hilarious, maybe he's undercover as Green & Kelsay, ahhhh...he so good he's playing both sides of the ball and evaluating the coaching staff.
-
What do you mean..." he still has youth on his side". With this improved scouting staff & exemplary front office , we're going to build thru the draft. It should take 5-6 draft to right this ship (obv sarcasm), "we just need some luck". These were statements from Ralph, then echoed by Nix. We're in trouble in Bills Nation!!! For the rest of Ralph's life, believe that!!!

^^^^CAN YOU PLEASE DO US ALL A FAVOR? PLEASE SEND THIS TO OBD, ATTN: FRONT OFFICE ^^^^

Where did I say the Rams secured both side of the ball? My Rams point was getting a vet QB that can play the scheme of the OC (reading is fun-da-men-tal). Not sure what rookie your talking about...but they picked up M. Faulk, Zimmerman,T. Green and K. warner in one off-season before this they were as bumbling as our home-team.You ask what vet QB, hell who knew of T. Green or M. Hasselbeck before their previous QB coaches/ OC got the chance to HC. My point is just because your a good college player does not mean you'll have success in the NFL, too many examples to list. You guys here amaze me with the unknown unproven rookie/player being better than players that have already adjusted to the league...If OBD is gonna go the prize rookie QB route, they better well be ready to pony up the coin for some quality vet lineman and btw the league is moving away from the stationary QB (blitz pkg expose them all too well). This rookie better be able to move his feet & keep focused down field or he'll be shell-shocked like so many others. I agree with you totally but these guys were picked in round 1. -

The kid seems promising but I think to evaluate the QB position more time is needed. Just look at how J. Locker status has changed on this board from last year to now, I know everyone in Bills Nation is looking for the next franchise QB but lets pump the breaks here...IMHO,it maybe better to secure both sides of the ball and get a quality vet QB e.g. like Coach Vermeil did with the Rams, when he signed T. Green (only to find a jewel in K. Warner) if the QB's don't grade out as a franchise player. -
I watched Kelsay closely today and ...

WOW...you removed, all doubt. A LB'er that tackles downfield and not at the point of attack or backfield is not a play-maker and come a dime a dozen (wink, Carlton Bailey, Walt P and Eugene Marve)in this lineage of also-rans of Bills LB'ers. folklore. -
Where is the Front Office at this time

That's a good try but I'm not buying this BS....This org brings in enough of a profit margin plus the limited/debt load in comparison to these other owners, PA-LEEZE!!! They spend and live in their own vacuum. This org is surviving on the faith of the locals, don't piss and call it rain. Polian knew back then Ralph lives in Oz and anyone who introduces reality is in peril. It actually took me these last 10 yrs to see, the history of this org. Any strong mind& successful coach could not survive with this demonic and egotistic mind-set, Saban, Knox or Polian. Levy was a skilled negotiator but to get over the hump, while within grasp the "bean counter" superseded. We needed more vets on def to compliment the K-Gun, Polian wanted "Hacksaw" Reynolds for leadership, no way Ralph wanted to cover this, he's thought Reynold's was too old, not understanding that Reynolds was the type of character player needed at that time to bring a championships. Ralph has a good business mind and a certain football sense, he just doesn't want to pay for it and esp in today's market. He's now selling, go the draft route and pray for some luck that we find a gem...always trying to get the best on the cheap. Come on Ralph, we deserve better... -

We all know the bean counters in this front office has continued to put the football people in the line of fire for years now. Its been stated before of how the "football ppl" in the org has suggested a certain FA or player but has always come across the bottom line of "Ralph's" bean counters. Where are they or why hasn't anyone in the FA due damage control because the wheels are falling off fast...Nix's has stated that we need players (we all knew that) but whats the plan besides just the draft? There are more ways to acquire talent, look at Seattle, KC and Washington. This org has been so far under the cap for years plus the funds from the agreement with Toronto, is there a consensus among the "football ops" and the "bean counters"? At this time, whats more alarming is that there is no accountability..Chan lines up as the sacrificial limb each Sunday, while everyone else takes cover. Don't get me wrong I don't want a meddling owner like some orgs but at least Jerry Jones would address the fans & media in times like this and not just leave these guys out on there own.

but if you are going ot make remarks about "all OLBs are fast" then you better get a look at the "unsung" OLBs in great 3-4s across the league... Since you put it out there, check the going rate for the "unsung" LB's. These player are of value, I agree but there salaries are minimal in comparison to the speed rushing LB's. I asked with the time served with this organization, you'd think the FO would have agreed on an op to match any FA offer in the rare instant another team would have and let the market determine his value.I'm sorry this brings back the whole DJ contract extension, just another example of FA ineptitude.
