Thank you...there is absolutely no way you can compare this guy to Freeney, more like E. Flowers. But listening to comments from DC Fewel stating that a situational player for the defense is more likely the case, has me leaning toward a player like M. Johnson (Ga. Tech). He can plays the SAM , then move to the DE in pass situation. Its the same as he did at Ga. Tech. The link show the versatility of this guy IMO, with a creative approach late in the 2008 season, Ga. Tech DC dropped him in coverage just to show more sides of this athletic phenom. If we're looking for a situation pass rusher, he definitely has to be in the discussion. Now that Coles is gone...

By now we should all know our FO has their own value board, when you say trade down, hell they may have these guys in their top 10. REM: D. Whitner -
For all of you who want Jason Peters RESIGNED

Thank you.... Listen these guys seem to take things personal in regards to salaries and negotiation's, look the Bills are an NFL franchise as well, they have to get in the game. Re-allocate funds to players that preform and cut the chord on past mistakes..LETS GO BILLS -
What's so funny, the reaction from most of bills nation on this thread, is these are the same comments posted by them....Is TT not a fan also? Typical Buffalonian reaction to criticism, sometimes the truth hurts.

WOW... your really digging up bones. What do you think of Nate Washington or DJ Hackett? They could be had for a decent price.
-
Wasn't the same said when we signed T. Reyes and his blocking at the time w/ S. Davis and their running game ? Believe when i say these guys have talent, our coaching staff doesn't have a glue in regards to putting player in the position to make plays. LETS GO BILLS....

Carolina OL Geoff Hangartner signs with the Bills

I really dont know to answer your question but our history with unknown free agent is atrocious w/ this pro personnel staff. Just think C.Nall, T. Reyes, J. Posey, Dockery and L.Tripplett, to name a few. Its like deja vu all over again, they go after 3rd & 4th tier FA's and then complain that they don't have enough playermakers ( go figure). Note to staff if you want better players you have to either develope them from within ( fat chance) or aquire playmakers, your coaching staff is inadequate or they just don't understand how to put players in the position to make plays. -

thank you...too funy I posted in another section recently questioning this guys ability to develope any of our young d-lineman. It's crazy b/c he was recognized as one of the better d-line coaches (what the hell happens when these guys come to OBD). Let's just hope they don't promote from within.

I know its for chits and giggles but now that we know what scouts inc boards looks like. Let's hope the Bills have a similar grading of these players or were all gonna be disappointed come April.

Like i said I wasn't trying to take anything away from Poz, the scheme IMO is flawed but to name a guy MVP b/c he fundamental sound? Jeez were really scraping the bottom of the barrel....this is the NFL. Just watching the past weeks games defensively really is a punch in the gut for me. I just think you should at least know the guy is on the field, esp. if he's your MVP. And btw Poz is the guy who teams w/ K.Mitchell on the dual A- gap blitz, when its called (rarely unfortunately) but who's the guy that gets the pressure...hmmm

I know that a players contribution as a leader of a team is more than just the play on the field and stats. Unfortunately the more we try to excuse what little impact from poz on the field, it is more of the indictment about the team. I can count on one hand the amount of impact plays from poz during the season, IMHO that's not the type of defense that wins games for ya. At times watching this team it seemed like 11 guys were just on the field. I'm not trying to take anything away from poz but i would rather have my defensive/ offensive mvp be a difference maker on the field, and give the sportmanship/ leadership award to the player that you describe....just a thought

Good ole Leif Larsen...i think that's who your talkin about/

thank you for injecting some sanity here, with this coaching staff legacy of developing players. how in the hell can you believe trading any player (esp. a pro bowl starter) for draft choice's makes any sense? this org. is inept from the top down, can you name one successful org that builds a franchise from the outside - in (ie. wr, cb, etc.) whatever happened to parcell's 101, dominate at the lines w/ blue chippers and the skill players are JUST A GUY (JAG) in the beginning, then fill in with playmakers as needed. Im not saying its the only way but it sure has a better standing in the league as compared w/ the non-sense their selling at OBD.

Comment about the Tampa Bay Cover 2
pimp on da' net replied to In space no one can hear's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU... If DJ could only think out of the box here, he could still use the gap penetration from the DT (must add help for stroud) but use bigger more athletic LB (ie. like the eagles) to read the guards for the run and inject the bump and run at the corners. This now free up your safeties to roam and become play makers. Now my dream would be quicker ends ( i'll give schobel another year to test the foot) a hybrid opposite him in the M. Johnson - Ga. Tech, E. Brown Fla. st.& Selvie mold. Bigger LB - Veteran w/ size + experience (like the patriot's have done in the past) Very active SS - Vet possibly; Donte at FS -

Everette Brown Scouting Report
pimp on da' net replied to Solomon Grundy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't forget the same was said about Alex Brown (Chicago), it all depends on how you coach and play'em. And that's a mighty big IF w/ this staff. When will the def line coach Kollar take some heat ? who has he developed since he's been here? He was a well respected DL coach in the past, i just don't see it here. This smaller quicker garbage doesn't work. -

As soon as i seen the topic i know it was you....the prob is this coaching staff would only waste this obv talent, they have shown they're not very good developing players (do not put them in the position to make plays). Just a thought while watching pretty decent coaching this weekend, why is it that these coaches seem to scheme their gameplan to exploit the opposing teams weakness....is that the way its supposed to work? (sarcasm) -
Do the Bills have an offseason strategy?
pimp on da' net replied to Tonawanda Troy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When I look at our defense it reminds me of an old Wendys commercial......"Where's the BEEF!" That's part of the problem w/ DJ and staff their defensive philosophy doesn't work, esp. in this climate. Do you rem that the tampa style had a terrible record when the temp. was b/l 40degrees........you 'd think during the so-called interview for the position, that shoulda been addressed.....what a joke!!!! -
Bills fans get what they paid for?
pimp on da' net replied to LGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IMO i think RW wants to win here but i think he's intiminated by strong-minded football guys (ie. Saban, Knox and Polian). Just check the history, beside their losing record the more passive the coach (Gregg W. the exception) RW likes being the dominant figure...just a thought. -
Bills pick-in ten updated mock drafts
pimp on da' net replied to billybob's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is more realistic of what will happen at OBD on draft day. Also let's be real with respect to the approach of team bills for the upcoming FA season, Take the top half of the blue chip FA's and disregard ( since TD when has the Bills even been in discussion w/ a top notch FA?). Look at the bottom third of that list or street FA (for that matter) and Team Bills will try to pass him off as a player that they're puzzled at what lack of interest he's gotten from the rest of the league ( as if they pulled something over on the other GM's).
