  1. He’s 27yrs old and has been in the league how many years now? I feel like ive heard this before with another player we had. Hmmm
  2. I can see the Giants taking him. It simply makes too much sense. The Giants havent drafted in the top 5 since they drafted Rivers in 2004; before that 1996. A winning franchise like the Giants rarely ever drafts this high and now has a chance to reset for the next 15yrs by taking a blue chip QB simply by staying put. Eli plays one more season and Rosen starts in 2019.
  3. If i had a master plan, this would be it: when i traded Tyrod to the Browns, I wouldve already had an agreement with them to trade for the #1 pick. Let every team below me maneuver and trade picks before the draft thinking theyre going to get their guy, but i already have an agreement in place with the Browns to wait until draft day to trade up to 1. We send them both our #1 picks this year; both our 2nd round picks this year; and our 1st round pick next year to move up from 12 to 1 overall. Draft Rosen. The Browns get a starting caliber QB in Tyrod and 3 first round picks overall + 2 second round picks. The Bills get back the #1 overall pick and the 3rd round pick for TT.
  4. I keep going back and forth with the Giants. On one hand you have a team that can draft one of the best RB prospects in a generation and possibly win now with Eli, Barkley, OBJ. On the other hand you have the reality that the NY freaking Giants are drafting #2 overall for the first time in how long?! This is a perfect opportunity for a winning franchise to set themselves up for the next 15 yrs and draft a blue chip QB. The giants havent drafted in the top 5 since 2004 (rivers/eli) and before that was 1996. With an aging Eli, this can be their chance to reset the franchise. Let Eli start one more season. And then start Rosen or whoever they draft at 2 in 2019. Keep in mind that the Giants have a new GM. You know that GM wants to have a sure thing at QB to replace Eli. Giants are tough to predict. I can see i go either way but the more i think of it, i can see them going QB.
  5. Dont see it. How can a trade between 2 other teams be part of his plan? If he had a deal for #2 already, why not just go ahead and do it now? We’re making Beane out to be a savant.
  6. True. But on the other hand if they land their QB for the next 15yrs, it wasnt crazy at all.
  7. Its a joke. Guess it wasnt funny ?
  8. Bc a large majortiy of the people who kept saying that Tyrod was what he was used his years in the league as a reason. So extending that argument, AJ is what he is too: a career backup.
  9. Said it in another thread. This is the Colts’ payback for the Hughes trade years ago.
  10. Can we trade to pick number 0?
  11. This was the Colts’ payback for fleecing them on the Hughes trade years ago. #neverforget.
  12. McCarron is ONE YEAR YOUNGER than Tyrod, yet Ive already read on these boards how AJ has upside and can sling it blah blah blah. Its comical how the grass is always greener; until its not.
  13. The Giants drafting the best RB prospect at #2 since Adrian Peterson is also making sense; especially if they think Eli can give them 2 more years.
  14. Based on the price the Jets paid to move up 3 picks, the Giants are well within their right to ask for our 2 firsts and second rounder this year, and next year’s first, to move up from 12 to 2. If theyre THAT into a QB than its worth it. But if theyre split between a couple of QB’s then its not. A QB will be there at 12.
  15. Wtf? Has that EVER happened?
  16. 100% better in that the odds of landing your guy at 3 are better than 12. Lets not argue semantics now.
  17. And what idea do we have at 12?
  18. Dont worry youll get to see what a real tank job looks like with AJ and Peterman tossing the ball around this year.
  19. The constant belief the Giants want to move out of #2 is nauseating. Look how much the Jets just gave up to move a few spots. We control nothing at this point other than the #12 pick. we call the Giants and theyre going to want both our 1st round picks. Our 2nd round pick. And probably our 1st round pick next year. No thanks.
  20. You do realize that just bc our guy is there at #2 doesnt mean that the Giants are going to trade with us right? People seem to think Beane controls his owm destiny - he doesnt. As of right now, the Jets are 100% in a better position than us to get their guy.
  21. Nelson is turning 33. Hes slow. No thanks.
  22. This weather nonsense is so overblown.
