  1. I had us going 8-8 prior to the season starting and at this point I had us at 2-4 with losses vs. Bears, Chargers, Lions, & Pats. I had us going into bye at 3-5. So if we're able to go into bye at 4-4 or at 5-3 that'd be awesome IMO.
  2. lol. ok. that's right, EJ beat the world by himself. Him and his 19.8 QBR, barely breaking 200yds passing per game.
  3. We're 3-3 not 0-6. I would reserve judgment about screwing the pooch. I don't care if we make the playoffs as a wild card and lose by 40 in the Wild Card game - this franchise needs to get into the playofss in any way shape or fashion. Orton right now gives this team the best chance to do that, thanks to the FO. I personally don't care about next season.
  4. NH has had 0 good years. In large part due to Spiller's ineffectiveness? Come on man.
  5. where do these two clowns expect a DB to target Gronk when Gronk is twice their size? Unreal.
  6. Hackett not utilizing Spiller/FJ like the thread states is about Hackett not knowing how to maximize the most out of what he's got at the NFL level: We're 25th in yds/game We're 26th in pts/game We're 22nd in rushing yds/game That's p*ss poor so far.
  7. I can tell you that what Spiller has achieved in the NFL is a heck of a lot more than what NH has achieved. Why should anyone be giving NH the benefit of the doubt? Did he have a revolutionary offense at Syracuse like Kelly had? No. This guy brings nothing new to the table. So I'm not going to get all over Spiller the way I will over NH. That's my viewpoint. That's all.
  8. I think we all watched the game man. The strip sack is what it is. That ball is going to be fumbled 9 times out of 10. Not much Orton could've done there except maybe get rid of the ball sooner, but it's not like he was standing in the pocket for 8 seconds either. The INT was the only CLEAR mistake Orton made and that was in the Pats territory and not our side of the field. The defense could've stopped them too.
  9. The also converted very punt/kick off we gave to them in the 2nd half into a score. The line should be simple: Bills Defense fails to stop Brady and the Pats.
  10. Big Cat, this isn't just about CJ. It's about the entire offense. CJ is just a symptom of the main problem.
  11. The solution (IMO) isn't to run sweeps all the time much the same way we shouldn't be running it between the guards all the time. It's not just CJ either, the running game as a whole is struggling a bit due to the O-line play. We haven't been able to consistently run the ball in an effective manner as in years past. My point is, however, that we simply DON'T run sweeps at all. I've watched every single snap this season so far and I'll be damned if I recall a sweep play in 6 games. (please correct me if I'm wrong) So we run very few (if any) sweeps. Very few draw plays. Very few screens. CJ is not targeted in the passing game (which should be a strength - you don't think he can block? Put him in motion and line him up at WR then. But wait, we rarely put players in motion either.) We run very few misdirection plays. These are all things that just come to my head and don't require an offensive guru to realize. I wondered whether the offense was bland b/c EJ was young, but with Orton in there through 2 games, the plays are still just as bland. This offense lacks creativity. It lacks complexity. It makes it easy on defenses.
  12. Great post. NH call a sweep? That's blasphemy.
  13. LOL. I agree. That's like arguing Orton gave them points everytime the Bills punted in the 2nd half. After the offense got the bills within one score late in the 4th, we gave them points too b/c we had to kick the ball off back to them. Heaven forbid we stop a 3rd and 16.
  14. Under NH I rarely ever see any players go in motion. I see the same standard run formation sets - which of course we end up running out of 90% of the time. CJ is never lined up at WR. CJ is not a part of the passing game. We call very few screen passes - which should be an asset due to Fred and CJ's skills. We call very few misdirection plays. That being said about NH - it appears that this offensive line has regressed during Marrone's tenure. Very disheartening.
  15. This was a typical Bills vs. Pats game: We move the ball OK vs. the pats but we just can't keep up with Brady gashing us for nearly 400yds/4TD's.
  16. I agree. Bridgewater looked awesome against the Falcons but the Falcons are proving their D is as bad as the Cowboys D was last season. It was a completely different story vs. the Lions D. Our DL is on par with the Lions and I'm hoping for the same struggles from Teddy this week.
  17. I agree with this. But its time to move on is all i can say. 3-3 with 2 winnable games coming up. Stay positive
  18. Fact is i was GIDDY on that 3rd and 16 bc i was pretty damn confident that when we got the ball back Orton would drive us for the tie. But that never happened for reasons that are obvious to most except the 10% that no matter how we lose will always put the blame right on the QB. Its like the dallas fans ripping on Romo every year when the D would give up 40pts/game
  19. ??? He did play and had us within 1 score late in the 4th quarter against the pats. The momentum was on our side up until that 3rd and 16. You should focus your anger towards the unit that allowed tom brady to throw for close to 400yds with 4td's.
  20. Id be afraid of hiring a coach who has been out of the game as long as gruden and cowher. Id personally want nothing to do with dungy as hes getting older and we dont have peyton manning. I think theres absolutely nothing wrong with getting a college HC to coach and it has been proven in NFL to be effective in recent years. Where we made the error was getting a coaching staff from a college program thats not elite. Harbaugh, kelly, carroll all came from elite college programs and they were successful there. Our coaches came from a horrible college football program and they were average there. Just my opinion.
  21. All i know is that when we go down +10 points with Orton at QB im not praying for a miracle to happen for us to get back in the game bc god knows EJ is only good for 1 td a game. NOTHING against Ej, but this offense moves up and down the field exponentially better with Orton.
  22. I just dont buy the sky is falling sentiment among many here. We lost vs the pats not the jags. Yes it sucks. Yes we need to beat the pats eventually to overcome a franchise mental hurdle. We were within one score of the pats late in the 4th quarter. We didnt get blown out 45-3. We need to move on. We're 3-3 with games coming up vs the vikings and the jets. Both very winnable games.
  23. Exactly. Last time i checked mediocre is better than bad, which is what EJ was. Whats the alternative right now? Nothing. This type of post is reminiscent of the Gailey years. After a week where the opposing qb throws for 361yds and 4TD, heres a thread about our QB not being good enough.
  24. If we lose against both the Vikings and jets marrone might as well pack his bags
