  1. haha. I like that. My cup is half full right now.
  2. Enlighten me. How in the world would you know what a top 6 team is six games into the season? There are teams every year that dont make the playoffs that may be better than some teams that do. There are about 3 very good teams in each conference and then a whole bunch of teams that are more or less the same in that any one of them could lose to e/o any given sunday. And then there are a handful of "crap" teams as you say (the same crap team that beat the patriots and came within 5 seconds of beating the packers). I believe we're in that middle group and as important as who you play every week is when you play a team. There are a myriad of factors at play, especially when youre not even half way through the season.
  3. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy too early for any team to think playoffs. Any team.
  4. After reading the OP's analysis, it leaves one to wonder how we're 3-3 and managed to beat the bears, lions, and dolphins - teams which im sure the OP would argue are worlds better in the talent department. Players with brandon marshall, cutler, stafford, calvin johnson and reggie bush and wallace. All that talent we seem to lack. Sigh. At least save the gloom for when we're 3-12 going into week 17 if thats how you really feel.
  5. exactly what i was going to say.
  6. If this was a gun to head decision then I'd say no way Seattle loses 2 in a row. No way. Plus St. Louis is on a short week after playing Monday night. But b/c this is a game, I'd go with the Steelers winning at HOME on Monday night after being embarrassed last week vs. the Browns. Book it.
  7. I won't be satisfied halfway through the season. With the amount of talent we've been told we have, + a crappy Jets team; a so-so Dolphins team; and the worst Pats team during the Brady era, I expect no less than 9-7.
  8. I agree, and not to get off topic, but I wonder how much of that is going on in NY w/ Geno, Idzik and Rex. My opinion, there's no way Rex feels Geno gives them the best chance to win every week but probably feels pressure from Idzik to start Geno. From Idzik's perspective it's the perfect scenario: if Geno does well, they have their QB; if Geno bombs, Rex is fired and Idzik has a fall-guy and they can move on from Geno after saying they gave him a full two seasons (at Rex's expense).
  9. Exactly. I want my QB looking downfield for open WR and not looking at the pass rush - that's Henderson's job. If everyone does their job on that play, that would've been a big gain. Henderson is the one that caused that sack to happen. Orton is the one that looks bad though taking the sack.
  10. If I'm KO, I'm thinking, they have only 4 players rushing - I should have some time. He's clearly looking downfield at a play that's about to unravel for a possible deep pass. What in the world was Henderson looking at that he just let the player run by him untouched?
  11. In an ideal world we probably would've been better off keeping Fitz for an extra year or so and having EJ watch from the bench his first season (IMO). EJ never had competition his first season and was essentially given the starting gig. He played OK last season, but he never really had games where you thought "damn, I'm excited for next season b/c this guy has given us flashes of brilliance"; it was more like "EJ was OK but he definitely needs to take a step forward this season". Through 4 games that step forward didn't happen. In fact you can argue that he took a step back. A step back from just OK is bad. Add in the change in ownership and everyone in the front office/coaching staff probably went into a panic b/c their jobs may very well be on the line this season. As for the coaching staff (marrone) not having a backbone, I see where you're coming from. But at the same time, we've been hearing all season that the talent is here, NOW. Not next season, but now. So the change to Orton shouldn't be that much of a surprise. If the organization feels this team has the talent in place to make a run for a wild card, then make the move and forget about EJ's feelings/psyche. It's certainly cliché, but if EJ can't handle being benched, then he probably won't be able to handle the ups/downs of the NFL very long anyway. cliche * was the word I was trying to use, not sure why it did that "clich&eacute"
  12. I remember hearing Hairston looked good during OTAs but don't remember much during preseason. I thought hairston was solid when he started 2 years ago. Still young. Still can have upside.
  13. After 14 starts I feel EJ is not done. So he sits a year or so. It's not the end of the world.
  14. Yeah, that pic is horrible indeed. Most frustrating from that pic is that Robert Woods is about to get wide open if the Pats player didn't come in completely unblocked that would've probably been a huge pass play.
  15. I feel this O-line would be better with Pears out of the RG slot. I'd like to see Hairston at RG perhaps. It can't be any worse. Pears was OK at RT but I don't know if he's cutting it at RG. Something tells me he's just too tall and can't move well enough for the guard position. I dunno what to do with this O-line. The O-line has definitely regressed this season, but we also have 2 rookies starting on it, so that's expected. Ideally, I'd probably want: Glenn / Hairston / Woods/ Urbik / Pears and just get the rookies out of there.
  16. Well said.
  17. I think normally a trap game comes after a team is flying high off of a win and has a weak opponent next followed by a really good opponent/rivalry. After losing to the Pats, I doubt we're overlooking the Vikings. Frankly, for the past 20yrs the Bills should never have had a trap game.
  18. Whats the point in arguing about it. Hes the starting QB of the Bills. DEAL WITH IT.
  19. Expecting Spiller to dominate running it up Woods butt much the same way Fred does doesnt address the premise that NH is misusing Spiller. And by misusing i dont mean spiller should never run it up the middle - he should and he NEEDS to do a better job. But when that is the ONLY thing we see spiller doing in this offense it falls on Hackett. Not seeing spiller targeted frequently on screens or put in motion to line up at WR is a waste of a threat. You have an elite talent touch the ball a total of 6 times in a game thats embarrassingly bad.
  20. That's a meaningless stat. The offense was better with EJ. Orton is a bum. He throws the ball downfield too much. I don't like his mustache.
  21. lmao, awesome.
  22. I do too. If you look at his career trajectory he's played really well when given the opportunity to start on a weekly basis. The guy had awesome numbers in Denver and the only reason he left was b/c of the Tebow disaster. Then in Dallas he was behind Romo so nobody expected him to start there. His years in Denver were almost exact replicas of Flacco's seasons (stats wise). Yes, that was a few years ago, but it's not like he's crashed and failed since, he was simply backing up a really good QB in Romo.
