  14. Rex will be great on TV and he is playing with house money, which will only give him license to be more bombastic. If he actually had to make a living at it he would probably still find a chair somewhere but since what ever he gets for this gig is just gravy, he can let it all hang out even further.

  17. I believe the original post is valid. We don't know what he will do but just like switching from a 3-4 to a 4-3. Totally overhauling either side of the ball generally means one thing. You rarely have the pieces to make the new scheme work. It would seem to me transitioning to something new as you acquire said pieces would make more sense. Belichick uses whatever he has in the cupboard and makes it work. When coaches and coordinators are locked onto one idea and don't have the components to make it work or have second tier players trying to execute that philosophy, they get exposed and disaster strikes. Look Phillips, he uses what he has and makes a top ten defense. It is called hedging your bets.
  18. That is a good question. Another thing to consider isn't the game simplified, which would favor mano y mano defensive play?
  19. That is the way I read the tea leaves and the aforementioned goat.
  20. If he would have beat the Jets given the lack of talent he was given to work with he could have gotten a lot more jobs.
  21. I like the way you think! Maybe the organization could be run with this as the preferred method.
  22. This board is populated by a lot of crack heads who spew hate filled propaganda like your so called satire daily. So excuse me for not smelling the elephant dung at the circus.
  23. You know the definition of luck? It's where opportunity and planning meet. Sounds great to me.
