  1. Take heart Bills’ fans. Within 3 years, we’ll be celebrating our own Lombardi. I don’t know why I’m so certain of this all of a sudden, but certain I am.
  2. Wonder if he also posted a still shot of the play in which Tre forced him to fumble? Seriously. He made some plays, but he’s really overstepping here.
  3. That’s definitely a fair characterization that is by no means an overreaction based upon the whole one season that this core group has been together ?
  4. KC can’t stop the run to save their collective gourds. SF decimates even good run defenses. KC better score every time they have the ball. Why break stride at this point?
  5. Oof. Good luck braving the Wegmans crowd today!
  6. Couldn’t help myself this morning; made waffles for breakfast 4pm is the right call. Gives people time for beverages and apps before game time
  7. If Zach Thomas makes the HOF they should shut their doors. He’s perhaps the most overrated player in any sport, ever.
  8. Can’t worry about positional need; gotta fill those in FA. Have to think about who’s the most likely to become an elite player at an impact position like WR, pass rusher, CB, or maybe OT.
  9. 5 lbs of Italian chicken cutlets Spicy chicken and black bean chili Mild beef chili BBQ Beef brisket sliders Sausage-rotel-cream cheese dip Absurd quantities of Paula’s Donuts
  10. She’s not great, but she’s hardly the worst. And for the record, I really don’t care about looks or tone of voice when it comes to female broadcasters. Want to make me happy as a listener/viewer? Tell me something that I wouldn’t otherwise know. You know who’s really good at that? Michelle Tafoya. There’s a reason that she’s been a mainstay in the biggest Weekly football broadcast for a decade. She asks smart questions, gets solid insights from coaches, and gets the pertinent info communicated.
  11. IMO there’s a huge difference between acting as you did as a kid (which is normal for a kid, by the way—I’m sure I did it to an extent too) and doing so as a professional who’s getting paid to do a job.
  12. I’m not saying that Kelly was a model person; I’m saying that Flutie was consistently a back-stabbing, negative influence on that locker room. There were more than a few rumblings that Flutie would rather RJ play poorly and the team lose as opposed to helping the team win even if it didn’t make him look good. The worst part was that he didn’t have to do it; eventually his play on the field proved him right (with regard to Johnson—not that it means much; he wasn’t very good, but he was the better of the two).
  13. In the midst of “singlehandedly starting the bickering Bills” (which actually started when Burkett threatened to quit because he got benched), Kelly also made darn sure that Reich was as prepared to play as possible while Kelly was out with the injury that Ballard’s missed block caused. That alone puts him MILES ahead of Flutie as a teammate.
  14. Zero angst. Just an honest comparison between the two players’ personas. They couldn’t be more different. Cocky is one thing. Undermining the team for personal gain is another.
  15. There’s absolutely no comparison between Kelly and Flutie. None. Aside from the obvious point that one was a much better QB than the other, compare how they handled themselves when they weren’t playing. When Jimbo was out and had to support Frank Reich (or even Todd Collins later in his career), he did everything he could to get those guys ready to win. He even used to take Frankie out for milkshakes and pick his brain on a weekly basis.
  16. Personally, it was the little things that drove me nuts about Flutie. Listen closely to his post-game interviews and whenever things went well it was “I”; when things went wrong it was “we”. And I don’t care how much you believe that you’re better than the other guy, you don’t openly campaign in the locker room to teammates about how they should support you and not him. That’s bush league.
  17. I hope it was for charity or something.
  18. There is a 9-page thread on this just a few notches up the board
  19. Hanging their QB hat on a slash type with 13 career attempts and zero TDs sounds like a horrendous succession plan.
  20. Not really. They'd be cutting key starters and creating minimal cap space by doing so. They’d basically be able to sign draft picks and maybe a medial FA or two.
  21. Tell that to the Falcons. That there’s a cap nightmare.
  22. You never know—the Raiders did that with Trent Brown last year
  23. Am I insane for wanting to give KJ Hamler a 1st round grade? Because I want to give KJ Hamler a 1st round grade.
  24. Don’t get me wrong, I love Joe Thuney’s game. I’m out on signing him for big money. I think this team can get close to equal play by sliding Ford to guard, or simply re-sign Spain for half of what Tunes gets on the open market and make do with Spain being 75% of the player that Thuney is. My concern at RT is limited to Nsekhe’s health. He was fine at RT; clearly better than Ford. I’d be okay signing a swing OT and drafting a guy to take over for Ty in 2021.
