  1. I’m pretty sure that you know exactly what I meant. Let me ask it this way: when was the last time you saw John Brown facing any coverage that wasn’t straight man? When teams game plan against Buffalo, they’re game planning to not get beat by Josh Allen. They aren’t in their film room worried that John Brown is going to tear them apart. Case in point: tell me your game plan to stop the Chiefs. Or the Rams. Or the Saints.
  2. Baltimore would make a TON of sense
  3. Based on what? Agreed. I think Laviska falls to the 40’s
  4. The biggest gripe from folks that wanted to keep Watkins is that he would still be on this team without a long-term commitment had they not traded him. They could have kept him on his rookie deal for 2017. They could have picked up his rookie 5th year option for 2018. They could’ve transition tagged him for 2019. No long-term commitment, no dead money; just a simple series of transactions with absolutely no risk of losing him.
  5. Ah yes, the “pass happy” NFL. In which a team whose QB attempted 29 total passes in 2 games toppled the AFC’s 1 and 3 seeds. A league in which the NFC champions attempted a total of 8 passes on a 65 degree day. A league in which the best team in the regular season broke the all-time rushing yardage record. I don’t care if you want to make a point about completion percentage (though I suspect if “he’s 31st!!2!1!!!1!2!” is what you’ve got, then you probably don’t look all too closely at things), but don’t say blatantly false things.
  6. To be fair: 1) it’s not his fault that someone traded up for him 2) he had 2100 yards and 15 TDs in his first 2 seasons. It was very similar to Julio’s first 2 NFL seasons, and I doubt anyone would’ve called him unproductive at that point. 3) absolutely; availability is numero uno 4) No idea why people thought that. He tried to play through a mismanaged injury and the team doc eventually shut him down. 5) he lead the Rams in TD receptions in his only season there 6) oh come on now, he went where he was offered the most money 7) legitimate question; maybe it’s a comfort level thing, and maybe he’s just not one of their 3 best targets. Confusing for sure.
  7. 21st sounds right, and while a big step, he still needs to improve. As for the scare factor, I think I know what you’re trying to say, but I disagree with the premise. I think you’re implying that opposing coaches don’t think Allen can beat them, and therefore don’t necessarily worry about game planning to stop him in specific ways. When I look at it, I see opposing coaches having to implement very specific game plans to stop Josh. And this is the problem: who else on this roster do you need to game plan in order to stop? We all know the answer to that: nobody. That’s the #1 reason that Mahomes is so dangerous; while you’re figuring out how to limit him, you also have to control Hill, Williams, Kelce, Watkins, Hardman, etc. That’s an offense that keeps people awake. If I’m an opposing DC thinking about the Bills, I’m saying “well, I can run man coverage all day and not worry about getting beat for chunk plays more than a handful of times. If I can keep this QB from burning me with his arm and legs I can basically guarantee no more than 17 points allowed.” And that’s pretty much what we saw.
  8. Yep. His 9-game run to end 2015 was perhaps the best half-season of WR play this millennium
  9. To accent your point: any of Ridley, Sanu, Fuller, Stills, or Watkins would certainly vie for the WR1 spot on Buffalo’s roster
  10. Yes, they’ve been better...and they also have cheated multiple times. There’s just no getting around it.
  11. Ah yes, pointing out yet another in an incredibly long list of inaccuracies is celebrating the performance. Now I know this is an extremely sensitive subject for you, but even if you don’t like it, context matters. When you say that the two players performances were nothing alike, it once again shows a total unwillingness to acknowledge anything that doesn’t 100% support your pre draft narrative. Why be that way? It’s totally reasonable to say that Josh still has work to do regarding precision passing. It’s also totally reasonable to acknowledge that he’s gotten much better and shows plenty of signs that he can continue to do so. Why you’re so reluctant to budge even slightly on the subject is truly confounding.
  12. So perhaps “literally the worst” was a poor choice of words?
  13. I’ve thought a few times that we’re due for an international game. Most likely a home game I suspect
  14. He also literally had the highest percentage of dropped passes among starting QBs—by an entire standard deviation...but by all means continue to only focus on things that allow you to shoehorn his performance to fit your erroneous pre draft evaluation. Oh it was an all-time classic. Like a Mario-for-Skelton type classic.
  15. I guess. The dude actually said that Hill was an upgrade at QB over Allen...and then quadrupled down on an already-next-level insane take by saying that Hill would be an upgrade at QB over Drew Brees. PFR seems to only track drop rate as far back as 2018.
  16. You’ve lost all right to call anyone absurd after your Hill-over-Brees nonsense
  17. But how does Wilson compare to Taysom Hill, who in your opinion is an upgrade over not only Allen, but also Drew Brees ?
  18. His drop rate. Just click on “advanced rushing and receiving” on the very same PFR page and you’d know that his drop rate went from 1.1% to 5.7%. Now compare yardage and TDs to previous years
  19. Yeah, I have Pittman on my list for my next round since I didn’t get to him for more than a cursory look.
  20. He’ll have a myriad of options for his next career: TV, coaching, FO staff; all are real possibilities. Hope he has enough of his health to enjoy his post-football life.
  21. I like Lamb a lot. From my initial work ups he’s my WR3 behind Ruggs (2) and Jeudy (1). I’d take any of those 3 in round 1 without hesitation. After that I’ve got a group of Higgins/Reagor/Aiyuk as my next tier. There’s a 50% chance that all are on the clock when we pick as far as I’m guessing. We’ll see how things go come March when I go back to school on these guys for real.
  22. Boy I’m shocked at all of the Laviska love. I mean, he’s talented, but he’s about 75% the player that Sammy Watkins was coming out of Clemson...and the way people rage hate Watkins ‘round these parts, I’m astonished that Shenault is so highly regarded.
  23. Oh you think the nacho vendor at LSU would be a good hire ? J/K obviously. It’s going to be fun to see what he and Rhule can put together.
  24. Ruggs. Easily the best combination of speed, COD skills, hands, and route running. There isn’t a thing he can’t do.
  25. He also said that they weren’t getting rid of McCoy.
