  1. I can see the case for a transition year to kind of reset the cap and re-tool... But even in that case, this team would very likely grab a wild card spot IMO if the Jets and/or Dolphins stepped up.
  2. McDermott is fine IMO I do think its time for a new defensive scheme. The whole league has a lot of experience and data points vs the current Bills defense of 5 seasons or whatever. They need to change their approach and probably coaching/vision. Also need another WR as well as a slot guy if Shakir or McKenzie arent it. Its Allen and Diggs vs the other team, with Knox getting open from time to time.
  3. The jaguars scare me too.... especially if they top the chiefs at arrowhead
  4. This is true. Once the stadium breaks ground, we will possibly be in our safest place in 50 years (if not ever). 10-15-20 years ago, I thought it was a certainty the Bills were gone, likely for Toronto. The league has outgrown the city/county ten fold. You don't want to dwell on 30 years down the line and miss the moment... but it isn't unreasonable to worry a bit. The biggest hope would be if we can snag a few Fortune 500s to anchor downtown, the city proper hits a nice growth over a few decades and we see actual people living down there in a thriving, younger bustling city community. It will radiate a higher median/mean income, lots of corporate dollars and investment, Catch up a bit. Those great lakes and the climate of Buffalo may actually become a much more desirable thing in the decades to come. Who knows, Im kind of rambling. My main feeling is I will feel pretty great about the Bills when the new stadium has broken ground.
  5. Brady is an upgrade for a number of teams for sure. The problem is, Brady is going to demand a warm weather or indoor team with a turnkey offense loaded with weapons and an OL. So basically, he needs to hope that either Miami or the Raiders want him.
  6. Yeah what's the deal with Brady there. Showing up a teammate when it was a ghastly throw
  7. IF YOU CAN READ THIS, GO HOME AND WATCH FILM
  8. Smile! At one point, a playoff game was an impossible dream, let alone a playoff win! That is the 18th playoff win in franchise history, 62 years. Ill be damned if I am going to disapprove and not enjoy any playoff victory. If we cant savor that, then why are we doing this?
  9. I think Kyle Williams and probably Ruben Brown. I get the case for Schoebel. I would like to see Kyle soon, so he can be honored in front of active players who were once his teammates. Gotta save room and keep the bar high for this current generation. We have Allen, Diggs, Dawkins, Hyde?, Poyer?, Milano? Knox? McDermott, Tre? and hopefully another decade of contributors.
  10. If Brady were smart, and wants another Superbowl, he would stay out of the AFC.
  11. So that McDaniel guy basically ruined Tua's career and health to win a September game against the Bills.
  12. That would be a monster risk. If Tua showed up and were concussed again, the guy would never coach again.
  13. For me. If I have a great viewing angle, a decent concourse where I dont need to wait 30 minutes for a bathroom or a beer, and easy entry... then I am happy.
  14. It is a neat presentation But man, everything looks and feels like it is a large airport. Soul-less, colorless pile of blah. Trying to get as many people away from their seats as possible to head to baggage claim or check their fantasy teams or whatever
  15. Primetime guesses: Home: Jets Thursday night Miami - MNF Patriots - Late season Saturday Away: Bengals - MNF Chiefs - SNF
  16. Herbert and Burrow are going to want to be the highest paid QBs in the league. If the Chargers and/or Bengals are unwilling to do it, someone will. Lamar, IMO will not get into that stratosphere, but he can get paid handsomely and will.
  17. We were expecting it too... However, after there was a fairly modest 'production', it occurred to me that it was probably in the best taste to not take advantage of Hamlin to pump the crowd and team up seeing he is still in a hospital bed and considered in Critical Condition. If they did that, it could easily be construed as soullessly taking advantage of the situation.
  18. I had them for a decent amount of time (10 years?) Really liked them from a customer service standpoint, up until the moment AT&T took over. Then it felt like dealing with a soul-less telecom company. I had quit years ago and never looked back
  19. I think the Balt/Cinci coin flip only applies to the wild card round
  20. I dont love half the league making it... but I dont think Im a big fan of the #1 seed only getting such an advantage. With 2 byes, it felt more balanced. I like the # of teams, but not the format. Maybe do 7 and have 7 play 6 in a play-in game in each conference in Week 19, while the other teams can rest up and prepare. The quality of playoff games may improve. Eliminate the week before the Superbowl, and/or start the season earlier
  21. Im kind of torn on McDaniel. X's and O's he seems like a savant. However, his general demeanor seems like he will have trouble getting grown alpha-males who are physically at the top of our species to follow him and go to the mat for him. He will get players to buy in when things are going well, but I can see things turning on him bad in tough times. I also think he was boorish in dealing with the Tua injuries and players pick up on that. IMO Payton is a bit overrated, although I would be frothing at the mouth for Ralph to open the checkbook for him if this were 2008. Brady could probably make that offense work, but that machine is a Hill or Waddle injury away from being shut right down.
  22. Is that going to be the Payton/Brady move?
  23. what hand gestures will bring up the netflix app, go to the search function, then type in letters for what I am looking for? The alexa-powered (or other voice recognition app) remote works just fine. Other than the remote thing, I think it all sounds good, especially the charging function, however I wouldnt trust the first generation of it. I wonder how light it will be that it sticks? I also wonder what size is the $3,000 version. I just got a 75" TV mounted in my living room and it is 75 pounds and no sticking/adhesive would hold that up securely and safely. If there is an adhesive that would do the trick, Im sure it would tear out a chunk of drywall when it is time to replace the TV or move.
  24. I thought that Miami game was supposed to have 2nd stringers and it was a question of when the starters would be pulled.... and they pulled a lot of players at half time? I think Pittsburgh also rested starters Looking at the box score, Antonio Williams had more rushes than the rest of the RBs combined. Diggs did have 7 catches though. It was 28-6 at half time.... And the Dolphins were favored by 3.5?
