Pushing teammates forward. Should it be legal or not?
May Day 10 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont know. I get why it is offputting and offenses are weaponizing it. But I can see how an attempt at a black and white rule will have a million unintended consequences. I dont think it should be a penalty if they outlaw it. Maybe say the ball is/was dead at that spot. I can see a big 3rd and 1 or something and something was kind of a push, but not really, maybe accidental contact results in a 5 yard penalty completely changing a game. -
It is pretty bad. I lived there for awhile and kind of adopted the Phillies as my team for a bit. I witnessed some terrible things. I attended some Sabres playoff games there. A lot of it was fun as I had the right attitude about it, but there are lunatics there who take it too far. Id imagine the Eagles are x10. If I were to do it, id do it like I did the Sabres games... splurge and get premium seats. Higher-end clientele, you arent with gen-pop, exclusive bathrooms. If the game doesnt go well for the eagles, consider losing the jersey for the walk to the car. People typically dont fight in the parking lot(s) at the tailgate and the way into the stadium.

If all the games go the Bills' way the next 2 weeks, they can clinch the #1 seed by beating the bears

12/1/2022 - NFL Week #13 - Bills at Pats* - Post game thread
May Day 10 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Im sure it has been stated here, but the Patriots' current existence is reminiscent of the drought-era Bills. Running game, stop the run, defense, play it safe with field position and turnovers 1956 football. Mac Jones could have definitely been a drought era Bills QB and would probably play one in the movie about it. That recipe is great for never bottoming out, success against the dregs of the league, some competitive games,, false hope, and always coming up short in big spots and against good teams. It may be good enough to snag a wild card spot once in awhile, but that is the ceiling. It is never bad enough to bottom out, fix the cap, or have a high selection. Constantly trying to find patches when 3 more leaks are sprung. -

Would Cole Beasley come back to Buffalo?
May Day 10 replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
they have missed Beasley for sure. -
I said it last year when the seas parted for the Bills, and the same holds true for Miami this season: An impressive record is impressive. It is very hard to win games, especially with consistency. These are all world class athletes at the top of their profession, highly competitive, and driven by money. The coaches are all the best strategists in the sport. Everyone is giving their all. The difference between #1 and #32 is not all that huge, and within that range, teams are much closer. Many games also come down to a few bounces, calls, and luck. To come out 8-3 is impressive!

You never know with goalie prospects. Its a strange position to forecast. You need to scatter-shot prospects and some are bound to pan out. If/when you can get a goalie out there via trade or FA, do it. Its unbelievable that they are in this position at this point in time, when Adams has had 3 summers to address it. Depending/waiting on a guy in the pipeline to take over in a few years is foolish and I really hope they aren't even thinking it. If they are, they need to join the Murray/Botterill/Bylsma/Housley/Kruger pile.

Dolphins @ Bills - When do we find out if moved to Sat?
May Day 10 replied to gmanbfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can it be flexed to Sunday night? -
High ankle sprains are usually super painful. We would have noticed more pain.

I like Campbell and Detroit. They have a nice team and a lot to look forward to. If they can upgrade from Goff and if Campbell is capable of learning from these clock management issues, I could see them at the top of that division for the next few seasons.

I thought Detroit committed unforgivable time and game management errors down the stretch. It was almost inevitable they would score a touchdown but they were 100% trying for a field goal. Not only that, they left way too much time on the clock. I want someone to do a deep dive into that halftime show to figure our what was happening and how that was green-lit. Ugly game. Those are the games brady and new England would always win. It would drive us nuts.

That seems kind of unfair

Diggs caught complaining to McDermott on broadcast

That's what I thought. Just 2 professionals discussing the job on hand. IMO, that is a great sign, especially seeing things got rolling a bit after that. -
NFL Week # 11 - Browns at Bills (Detroit) - Post game thread

I decided I really like Jacoby Brissett. He is the next Ryan Fitzpatrick. Moves around, always ends up starting, gives his all and doesnt really do too poorly, nobody dislikes him... -

I'm done with Davis. Sick of his drops -
Bedard will be in the NHL next season. The Sabres have a worse record now than this time last season. Can't wrap my head around that. Those extensions to the gm and coach, followed by their social media spiking the football about it doesn't seem like a good idea. It's like a never ending nightmare

What are your thoughts on John Murphy as our radio announcer?
May Day 10 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
That is fine. I dont mind homerism, I get these are regional radio casts. The "us" thing comes across as awful and should be relegated to DIII sports (actually, I did PBP for DIII football and my color guy was reprimanded for saying "we' a few times, lol) The loud cheering though. "GIVE IT TO US!!!" is over the top and not professional at all. Calling the Bills "Lucky Suckers" for stopping them on 3rd or 4th and short was a bad look too. Jack Edwards for the Bruins in the NHL is another that takes it too far. I wouldnt like it if a Buffalo announcer went that far. Van Miller wasnt screaming into the mic like a beast either. He was still in his announcing voice. I listened to some of his other stuff (Allen) since I wrote that. He is a really good announcer. Great voice and effect on the air.
