Niagara Falls, NY isnt really much of a place where people want to go... Just the park around the Falls is nice and cool. Maid of the Mist should be a consideration. Whirlpool Jet boat tours are great as well. I would definitely go to Duff's for the WNY experience. Careful which one though as some of the remote locations are... off. I'd suggest the one on Sheridan Drive. Get them extra crispy with an order of fries with it and extra bleu cheese. Some locals scoff at Duff's, but it is really good and consistent. I have had disgusting wings at some of the places often recommended (Bar Bill and Gabriel's Gate). Big Ditch is a great brewery with a decent menu, good beer, and atmosphere. Stop through Allentown too just to see "Josh" Allentown. One of my favorite joints is there: Allentown Burger Venture. Amazing burgers, atmosphere, and an extensive beer list. None of these places have any sort of dress requirements other than maybe wear a bib.

Im still not whistling past the graveyard. Last season they nearly smoke and mirrored their way to the Division title, which could have knocked the Bills completely out. Now, the Bills ended up dealing out 2 death-blows which helps everyone forget. They also werent all that bad with Newton as an awful starting QB. They have yet to see the floor fall out. With that said, I wonder if the floor does fall out, how eager Kraft will be to turn the page on his franchise, move on from Belichick, and chart a new course

I believe they just did everything they can to fast-track the arena as well as cut costs. It was a necessary evil at the time as without it, the Sabres would likely be in Dallas, Phoenix, Denver, Raleigh, etc... It was also at a period of time where these arenas were popping up everywhere. Many of them lack any sort of character (although they are all better-designed and higher quality than Keybank Center). I liken it to the awful multi-use ballparks of the 60s and 70s. As mentioned too, the sound is awful. There is that bubble ceiling for some reason. A renovation? Im not sure what can be done to really salvage the place. I dont think the city/county/state has much of an appetite for it, but the place should really be razed and built anew.

It is very encouraging that the main feature/characteristic we have heard about is the proximity and pitch of the seats. Put fans in the action. The rest is not important. Shielding the wind and covering fans is nice too. They horribly failed at the design on Marine Midland/HSBC/Crossroads/First Niagara/Key Bank Center. There is such a gradual upgrade in the seating bowl, with very little/minimal overhangs. As a result, we have a large arena with seats 1000 miles away. Not to mention thousands of seats in the 100 level with obstructed views. Give me a game in front of 16,420 in the Aud on top of the action over 19,070 in that newer place.

It is a bit unrelated to the thread.... But one of the worst, and cringe-worthy things is when I am listening to a conventional sports radio show, and an adult caller calls in with a pre-written and rehearsed regurgitation of words, as if they are calling that stupid "smack talk" portion of the Jim Rome show. All loud and trying to act tough-sounding.

The most painful thing is when Bulldog has to do a show alone. You can clearly hear that he feels like it is the worst day of his life. He cannot carry a show. Stammers around uncomfortably about some hand-picked basic, broad topic he tees up for himself. Other personalities from the station come on to help him run out the clock because they feel bad for him.

I have always liked Howard Simon. It does seem like he has been going through the motions for several years and/or the management has told him to play a 'boob' as his role. I think you can certainly tell that he has been tiring of the daily grind. Everyone there is stale for the most part. Bulldog is the worst of it. I cant believe that guy earns a paycheck for the "work" he does. He provides nothing of value and he isnt a good broadcaster either. He just walks up to his attic, puts on a headset, flips a switch, and steals money from Audacy. I actually didnt mind Schopp other than the constant gambling and fantasy talk. I cant listen to that stuff. There is a complete sports radio station locally that is like 24 hours of gambling talk (1520). Even jeremy White is stale, but unlike the older guys, he still actually appears to like sports and consumes a lot of it and can bring a lot to his show. I actually do like the younger guys they have around. They seem to bring an energy that is lacking in the older hosts In all cases though, gambling talk needs to be somewhat minimalized. It is just really bad radio IMO if it is overkill and every subject is tied with odds, futures, money lines, etc. (And I even dabble in sports gambling). I really dont care of Derrick Henry is "+350" to win the MVP or whatever. Its getting to the point where I am going to get turned off to sports gambling as a whole.

Throughout the episodes, she began to grow a little suspicious. At one point Gene excused him and Jeff from the kitchen to speak in private. She rolled by the garage once when they were looking at stolen goods and they pretended to work on a car, and she observed the 3 schmoes suspiciously meeting in the garage at night. So Gene called her to get Jeff out of police custody. He seemed very educated on the legal system. At one point he slipped, saying bondsmen arent needed in Omaha, and it isnt like Albuquerque which perhaps gave her a clue that he could be from there.

I thought it was a great ending for saul and Kim.

I agree. All sports seem to have gotten very loose with hall of fame honors. I would like to see another layer for the true 'greats' Its the same thing with jersey retirements. Everyone wants quick gratification. Teams want something to market. Paul ONeill is having his jersey retired as a Yankee. Ryan Miller's number should be nowhere near retirement-echelon

Its pretty certain the show will not end with him being hidden again, especially hidden with Kim. There is a precedent set now that the story is far from over if/when that happens. Kim is like adding steroids to Saul's conning. I am guessing there will be one last major con in this episode that wraps things up between the authorities, Kim, and likely his death/incarceration. Similar to Felina in Breaking Bad I cant see where it can possibly go though. he seems hopelessly wrapped up in being a villain right now. Kim is pretty miserable in her fake existence/guilt. IMO the happiest end that we can hope for is if Saul goes to prison and the last scene is him running some sort of fast-talking con on some jacked and confused inmates. But what is a potential happy-end for Kim? It seems like there is no winning there I guess that Kim may sacrifice herself somehow so that Saul may live. "Im happy you are alive" was literally the only positivity from her in the last episode.

To be perfectly honest, downtown buffalo is the same way. If there isn't some event to draw folks in from the suburbs, it's pretty much dead as a door nail. There needs to be fortune 500 anchor tenant(s) there resulting in people actually residing in and spending downtown

There isn't much prequel remaining I think. I think you could get some 2 hour movie or double-episode type things. Perhaps digging into fring's beginnings or the salamancas/Cartel. Maybe even a fun thing with skinny pete/badger... or huell/kuby Anything stretched into full episodic television would be too much

Sure, but you are led to believe internally, Jesse is generally a kind person and was motivated to lead a normal, quiet life in a small town in Alaska. Maybe externally, there is a story where someone recognizes him and blows him in, but that is external. Through the story, we are generally led to believe that if you follow the vacuum-man's instructions, you will be safe. With Gene's turn to Saul again, and the pattern of the the 5+ seasons, we see that Saul cannot help himself to schemes and committing crimes, while dragging people in with him. Now it is far beyond mischief or somewhat harmless petty fraud. Not only do you have the 'danger' of him being identified and turned in to authorities, you have to assume at this point he will perpetually commit crime until he is dead. I cant picture these writers leaving that large of a loose end.

After some thinking.... it could be a trick to give us all a feeling he is going to be in a grave soon, and symbolize that "Gene" is dead. It doesn't look good though. Saul going after a nice man with cancer, and making a series of bad decisions really erodes that 'sympathetic figure' veneer. I don't know how you can have Saul keep on keeping on at the end, and not assume he will have a lot of damaging hijinks later on, which doesn't seem like the writers' style. To date they have never really left anything open-ended. You have Jesse, but you were led to believe that he wanted to/could lead a rather un-eventful life in Alaska.

Yeah, he went full villain going hard at that guy with cancer. Also, the little foreshadowing with the mini grave fading with him laying in it isn't a good sign

Got about 16 years to go (hopefully). A lot depends on where my kids are and what they are doing. The older I get, the more I warm to the idea of a better climate.

I heard him on the radio talking about this. It does have sound logic and I cant say I completely disagree. I am hopeful the Bills can get 1st-seed-level wins this year. I flip to 1520 sometimes. Its all sports betting talk, which honestly, bores me to a bit. Its just a habit to flip there because it used to be 1270 before it converted from CBS Sports Radio to another bastion of angry political negativity and division. Anyways. Often, it sounds like they make very compelling cases for certain wagers and I feel convinced. Then the thing will play out and they will be completely wrong about half the time.
