  1. so that means if they win, they theyll be "way alive" for the playoffs
  2. Im on board with you. Just that all the attention of QBs has been focused on Newton due to Auburn's record and his sick stats.... and now the contraversy.
  3. I have watched a good number on Stanford games this season, and I swear he is getting better every game. He just looks more and more confident. He even looks like a pro handing the ball off. I really think he has pulled himself above the other QBs in NCAA (other than the Newton phenomenon).
  4. Alabama loses again! It looks like Auburn and Oregon hold their own fate at this point. One of those two lose and all hell breaks lose in BCS land. I think you have about 5-10 teams that can put up a legit case to be in the Championship game.
  5. no, not at all. TCU is running them out of their barn. Boise State is on too, but they have that lady and some Kermit-sounding guy in the booth. LSU/Alabama is the choice, although I guess I should have predicted that. Id really like to see LSU win. That way we have a 4-team race for the title.
  6. yeah. im sure this game will stand out to Michigan followers for some time... and may make the 2010 NCAA highlight reel... but in the big picture, not a huge deal.
  7. whoops, I started a simultaneous thread. not much in the way of defense, but an exciting game for sure
  8. Ive watched this Michigan/Illinois debacle wire to wire. What a game though. 59-59 in the 3rd OT. Forcier in for Robinson. No defense. Looking forward to watching Utah/TCU
  9. like Stadium naming rights
  10. its not so much about "sharing" the team. It sucks losing home games... but losing 1 or more home games with home field advantage handicaps the team before one down is played in the season. Its bad enough that Ownership and Management are so handicap. If by some fluke they ever make a playoff run, they are behind the 8-ball gifting home field advantage to a quiet, neutral, cavernous, soulless building.
  11. He's actually not a bad actor. He is very likable.
  12. It states some assumptions and hypotheses as fact regarding Wilson's intentions and the future. To me it discredits the whole thing a bit, I would suggest toning it down... Maybe break down all the possibilities. The headlines on the front page scroll way too quickly and its hard to read the writing. There are also numerous costs associated with this. Lawyers and Accounting fees would be very high. That amount, would not be recovered and gain ROI. I would think that ROI in general isnt worth it. People arent doing this for investments sake. Im not going to give $1,000 waiting for 2% interest over 20 years when inflation is going to destroy that. Financially its not an incentive. I would be fine just getting the money back, or even just saving the team and having token voting rights or something. Im glad someone is organizing and trying to fight. Its an interesting idea, just very tough to get the snowball rolling. Then there is always the possibility that if everything goes right, and it turns out to be futile, and there are $ Millions of dollars to divvy up (minus all operational fees). You should explore every possible result with the money, who would be possibly be solicited with the Bond Fund, what prevents an owner from taking it, signing a non binding lease, then bolting. What if the owner/recipient goes bankrupt, what if Mr Wilson lives 20 more years and holds onto the team, etc... Just a little constructive criticism. Im sure its a work in progress and this is just the tip.
  13. count me in with the group who has no interest in rooting for the team if they leave WNY. Im not a Jays or Raptors fan in the least. If I backed an NFL team (which isnt likely), it would be the Browns
  14. I hope powers that be realize this
  15. I looked into it a couple years ago. It sounds like a huge pain in the ass. You are way better off having a draft party or going to the Bills' event at the Stadium.
  16. I will never like or get used to regular season game(s) being played in Toronto. In my eyes it is never justified.
  17. people at work comment every week now it seems about the Bills (positively). We have a suicide pool where many people had a strategy of going against Buffalo. Everyone is scared now.
  18. I wouldnt say the Bills are a good team. There is however, improvement, which is a testament to Gailey and is very encouraging for the future. Still a significant rebuild needed. My optimism now compared to the bye week is not even close. Seeds of competing is the best case scenario.
  19. They are competitive. Competitive against a few good teams as well: Balt, NE, KC, Jax (Jax isnt "good" but Id say decent). A few weeks ago it was rock bottom. There will still be some bad games, but they are starting to look like a team.
  20. its a little different though. The Sabres are set up to get to almost the break even point. As things are I dont think of them as "cheap". The problem is we have a minority owner who runs the show and doesnt really know much about the on-ice aspect of the sport.
  21. our quarterback: Fitzgerald or whatever his name is. Gave the game completely away.
  22. I agree on Foles in Round 2.
  23. I have been paying close attention to Clayborn since I saw a quick feature on him during College Gameday a few weeks ago (best show on TV). This guy is a special player IMO and one of those guys I can only picture playing on a defense like Pittsburgh or Baltimore. He has a high motor, but he is also strong and talented. Offenses seem like they are really trying to gameplan around the guy. Even when he isnt making a tackle or hurry, he still blows up half the line. I also like how he has an attitude out on the field.
  24. I wouldnt mind it if they took Adrian Clayborn either. Im really not set at the Bills taking a QB at the top of Round 1 in 2011. They are going to have other chances, whether its trading back into Round 1, early Round 2, or the 2012 draft.
