  1. I do remember Harbough hamming up injuries way too much and announcers feeding right into it.
  2. Cowher will be in Carolina.
  3. so does that mean I have to root for him as a football player? Do people root for every player in the league, or do they have guys they root for and "hate".
  4. I dunno. There may be an inter-conference match-up or two that have pretty lengthy streaks.
  5. people can hate players like Tom Brady for no other reason than he "is a f*g". However, there are very legitimate reasons to dislike and root against Mike Vick and people rush to defend him/debate people like he is a close relative. People dislike athletes (and celebrities in general) for much, much less than this. Heck, I always said that I wouldnt root for the Sabres if they ever got Jaromir Jagr... I see people writing all the time how much they hate Dan Marino's guts. God forbid people speak out against Vick.
  6. I saw it. It was really awesome and gave me chills.
  7. If there is no Luck in the draft for the Bills, they need to get a pass rusher for sure.
  8. Repenting/redemption does not = stats on the football field. I was wrong. I didnt think he had it in him to come back and play as well as he has. For one, he wasn't as impressive to me early in his career, and two, the time on the shelf in the pen would surely erode his talent. You also have to give credit to the Eagles offense and coaching as a whole. Kolb comes in and is awesome as well. Vick looks very, very good though. I cant root for the guy at all. Im in the Philly area and he really doesnt do much in the community other than is what is required. He always has that smirk and feeds out the same few pr lines he always has. It really doesnt appear to me like he is that regretful for anything in his past... If he gets that big contract he is after and does something organic, profound, and selfless, I will completely forgive him and get on the bandwagon.
  9. Bills/Sabres/Cleveland Indians
  10. I didnt want them to hire Fewell. If given the choice of him or Gailey I would have chosen Fewell
  11. that was the difference between a semi-blowout and a close-call. Those were terrible penalties in crucial situations.
  12. that Philly offense is sick and the QB is almost inconsequential.
  13. the games are just soul-less
  14. Im not really down on Gailey or anything.... But can we get Luck/Harbough as a package deal?
  15. so that means if they win, they theyll be "way alive" for the playoffs
  16. Im on board with you. Just that all the attention of QBs has been focused on Newton due to Auburn's record and his sick stats.... and now the contraversy.
  17. I have watched a good number on Stanford games this season, and I swear he is getting better every game. He just looks more and more confident. He even looks like a pro handing the ball off. I really think he has pulled himself above the other QBs in NCAA (other than the Newton phenomenon).
  18. Alabama loses again! It looks like Auburn and Oregon hold their own fate at this point. One of those two lose and all hell breaks lose in BCS land. I think you have about 5-10 teams that can put up a legit case to be in the Championship game.
  19. no, not at all. TCU is running them out of their barn. Boise State is on too, but they have that lady and some Kermit-sounding guy in the booth. LSU/Alabama is the choice, although I guess I should have predicted that. Id really like to see LSU win. That way we have a 4-team race for the title.
  20. yeah. im sure this game will stand out to Michigan followers for some time... and may make the 2010 NCAA highlight reel... but in the big picture, not a huge deal.
  21. whoops, I started a simultaneous thread. not much in the way of defense, but an exciting game for sure
  22. Ive watched this Michigan/Illinois debacle wire to wire. What a game though. 59-59 in the 3rd OT. Forcier in for Robinson. No defense. Looking forward to watching Utah/TCU
  23. like Stadium naming rights
  24. its not so much about "sharing" the team. It sucks losing home games... but losing 1 or more home games with home field advantage handicaps the team before one down is played in the season. Its bad enough that Ownership and Management are so handicap. If by some fluke they ever make a playoff run, they are behind the 8-ball gifting home field advantage to a quiet, neutral, cavernous, soulless building.
  25. He's actually not a bad actor. He is very likable.
