  1. I really believe the Bills have the inside track at this for sure. Cards have an easy division, Browns, Raiders, Tampa Bay, Carolina, and San Fran have been a lot more competitive. I think we will know by the bye week If they end up in the top 4 which is highly likely, its a win. If there isnt a homerun QB on the board, they could trade down and I wouldnt hate it if they drafted Clayborn out of Iowa. He punched a cab driver so he'll fit right in here. The guy is a monster on the field though.
  2. Im in a holding pattern. Still go to a few games to hang out with friends... but I dont have anything invested emotionally at this point. Im giving Nix and company a chance to rebuild for a few years, thats cool. I can deal with a bunch of losses, and the games arent ruling my Sundays (fall adult baseball). I still call myself a fan. Not a huge NFL fan though, I have recently caught on that NCAA is 100x better. So I am waiting to see what happens "post Ralph". its either the Bills will again be relevant, or gone. If they are gone, than the NFL is gone with me. btw I think the NFL loses some of its heritage with the Bills leaving.
  3. I understand it, and its to be expected. Its never easy in real time to watch your team lose game in and game out. Especially in the manner they did today, the Green bay game, and Miami for the most part. I am totally fine with this. There is going to be such a high turnover of players over the next 20 or so months that this doesnt matter and its already ancient history. I did expect it to be this bad. At the beginning I expected 1-3 wins. I think its necessary to hit bottom and cleanse the roster, and I am giving Nix/Gailey the benefit of the doubt for about 20 more games. I have faith in them, I have no choice. This is likely the last regime under Uncle Ralph so Im hoping for the best.... there is no choice.
  4. hewas just a warm LB body to get through transition anyway. He isnt in future plans and he is worthless now to this team anyway
  5. "feel good story of the year?" horse crap. I think its really hilarious that the Eagles organization gave him their award for "courage" last year. Courage for what? I believe he should have a chance to play in the NFL. However I will never root for him. I would be happier if his career ended prematurely and he ended up burning through all his money. The guy needs to do something really profound and selfless in order for me to give him a chance. I havent seen him do anything but go through the motions to get that NFL salary flowing in.
  6. Im very cool with the current stadium
  7. He has got a lot of time. He inherited a pretty terrible mess here. Its going to take a lot. They are at bare bones mode for the most part. Evaluating and slowly putting the athletes they need at each position to fit their system. I would say with or without Nix in there, about 10%-20% of the team will still be on the roster for the 2012 season. Give the man a few years though
  8. Russ Brandon. slime
  9. Trade him to Boise State for that dog that retrieves the tee after kickoffs.
  10. I like Kelso's analysis. Its great. If you want to hear a real idiot, check out Arizona's color guy. He sounds like Jesse Ventura with the vocabulary of a 10 year old. Im not to imppressed with John Murphy's pbp. I like his voice and inflection. However, he doesnt do well with painting the play like a pro like Van Miller did. He doesnt really say what down it is, where the ball is, etc. He needs to paint the picture of the play and make it sound moore important. When a player catches a ball or breaks a run, he needs to do a better job announcing where the ball is. A 4 yard pass and a 14 yard pass sound the exact same every time until the play is over.
  11. I agree, but it seems to have gone on for too long, and seems to be beyond just blowing smoke. He also isnt saying he will "see what he can do". Although vague, everything he says has a sense of finality.
  12. why would two (or more) wildly successful businessmen need Jim Kelly to broker the deal? Unless they needed to know how to run the hurry up offense or shotgun a beer? Half kidding. I really like Jimbo, and I am holding out hope he is going to bring balance to the force
  13. they are right. Everybody is right. They stink. Rock bottom is this season. Its up for those southerners to turn the thing around.
  14. I agree with sullivan. While it would be great if the bills went on an improbable run, its very unlikely to happen. The best scenario which is likely is them being in position to draft ryan mallett. I don't think he is implying that we or he is going to the miami game and should cheer whenever miami scores... or that the bills players and coaches should try to lose. I am prepared for a 2 to 4 win season and I'm cool with it. I think they are going in the right direction. This is a full blown development and rebuilding season.
  15. Im out until they improve the franchise mode
  16. and all seems to be well: http://www.wgrz.com/news/local/story.aspx?...77&catid=37 NIAGARA FALLS, NY-- There's a hero for a puppy in need. The SPCA of Niagara rescued Daisy last week. She needs an expensive surgery to try and save her front leg after a severe beating. Now, a 2 On Your Side viewer is coming through with $5,000 to give Daisy a second chance. The donor wants to remain anonymous. Daisy will have the procedure Thursday. John Faso Executive Director of the SPCA of Niagara says, "We're really confident that this surgery is going to save her leg. without the surgery she definitely would have had to have it amputated. I do want to thank the overwhelming response from the public to help daisy." The response has been so overwhelming that they are using additional money to start a new fund. Daisy's fund will go to other animals in need of medical attention due to a cruelty case. You can donate through the SPCA of Niagara. The fight for daisy will also continue in court. On Friday, her former owner is scheduled to to face a charge of aggravated animal cruelty.
  17. It looks like "Buster's Law" is a start
  18. http://www.wgrz.com/news/local/story.aspx?...64&catid=13 NIAGARA FALLS-A dog in Niagara Falls is in desperate need of surgery after being severely beaten, and the Niagara County SPCA needs help with the funding. Authorities were called to the Townsend Place Apartments in Niagara Falls on Thursday night for a case of animal cruelty. A 3 month old pointer mix had been severely beaten with a wooden table leg. The owner didn't have a name for the dog, but the SPCA has since named her Daisy. According to the Niagara County SPCA, the dog needs extensive surgery or it will have to have its leg amputated. The owner is set to appear in court on August 6, and they hope to have him charged under "Buster's Law," which makes intentional killing or maiming of a dog a felony, subject to jail time. The SPCA is looking for any kind of financial assistance from the public. You can donate online at www.niagaraspca.org or by phone at 731-4368. Donations will also be accepted by mail to the Lockport Rd. location.
  19. I say good. Iwould like to see Maybin get his nose dirty. If it means playing rough at practice, fine. Good to see some fire.
  20. Not buying Madden this season. Game isnt good enough year to year to justify purchase. Ill just continue my franchise and NCAA dynasty from the 2010 versions.
  21. i always thought that the best 2 teams in the AFC played tht day. I think the Rams take the SB regardless
  22. I really wish that we ended up in a Division with Cleveland and Pittsburgh after realignment. At the very least it would have been ensured great ticket sales for almost half the home games forever.
  23. Id say Im not that bitter about it. I a bit bitter and jaded about Buffalo never winning a major championship.... Im more proud of that early 90's team than anything
