  1. I have even recessed from that "goal". I just want the team to stay in it (legitimately) into the last week or 2. A few meaningful late season games. Can't even get to that point. Completely agree with looking at the best organizations in sports and trying to emulate their structure and management. The same goes with the Sabres too, where Pegula has also failed to do this. There has been a lot of dysfunction since the Pegulas bought the team. The Bills need a factory reset
  2. Thats the thing. 1 more month is another month of time wasted. Change management now and they can get a head start
  3. this is exactly what is going to happen. its the way of the Bills. Then you wont even be able to suggest changes for 3 years in the interest of "continuity".... and when that time comes, when the streak is 20 years, it will be all Lynn's fault and the same people will be tasked with "finding" another coach.
  4. This is true. We will be there regardless of record, who is QB/Coach, or whether or not Russ Brandon is "marketing"
  5. I think they need a complete re-brand of the football program. They have needed it since Donahoe started to lose power and influence (and probably needed it before that).
  6. Im renewing. Always do. 8 of us. Tailgate seen.... everything is a great day and the last bastion of hangout for dudes with kids
  7. The problem is, brandon wants to sit at the big kids table. He wont go away quietly. Might make it uncomfortable for the new boss. Would probably continue to play dirty pool in the media. They could survive as a business without russ brandon. Im sure of it. There are many, many people who are capable of running the business side of an nfl team. Some new and fresh ideas are needed here on that side as well.
  8. The fact that his gm stint isnt mentioned in his bio speaks volumes on the deceit
  9. The bills would go under if russ brandon wasnt doing russ brandon things.
  10. Can everyone stop pretending he is still the director of marketing?
  11. He knocks it out of the park. Changing a coach is foolish. All these failures are a pattern and it will continue until the right moves are made.
  12. Whaley is also a repeat offender of infighting over a short period of time
  13. This doesnt represent my viewpoint at all. I have been having this identical circular discussion for nearly a decade now. It isnt a mindless "17 years someone's gotta go". The organization has resisted (what i believe are) the necessary changes. It is at the top... and it is bringing in someone from the outside. They have not done this, and continue to never play a meaningful late season game, let alone a playoff game.
  14. Brandon is president of the team. His function isnt to sell tickets. Its the whole franchise (which has become irrelevant). Our tickets are about the cheapest in the league and split with the visiting team. I really dont want to see him anywhere near this search for hc (if it happens). Too many misses with him front and center
  15. I just dont know if i can hang on for another one of their phony "year one"s
  16. Need to cut much deeper than coach. Spinning tires
  17. Whaley is a decent evaluator of defensive talent Hard stop
  18. The 9AM EST starts are no more. The games are going to be synced with the 1PM EST starts
  19. I got mine a few weeks ago. Fairly easy to set up, however, I had some trouble with my wifi hookup and bluetooth controllers. Fully operational now though. really like it
  20. it stinks that they wont be the AM games any more. I kind of dug that
  21. Current AFC Playoff teams who employ quarterbacks who the Bills had an opportunity to draft/acquire: New England Patriots Oakland Raiders Kansas City Chiefs Baltimore Ravens Houston Texans Denver Broncos
  22. I am actually rooting for the raiders this year. I really like Carr.... and also would like to see their fans treated to a run before they bolt... and maybe a run could save their team?
  23. The largest part that makes buffalo an unattractive market, is the management structure. You get hired and its not a great place to flourish. There are a lot of people with clout and say. Lots of cooks in the kitchen, and some are bad cooks. It percolated publicly a little bit with the marrone era. He essentially quit (the second HC to do so in a decade). These guys talk. During the offseason of the marrone hire, they could have brought andy reid in, assured him that he would have the keys to the car, and given him the contract.... he would most certainly have considered buffalo.
  24. That was all part of the Bills' mastery of outsourcing blame. Nix stays on just long enough to "own the draft" and then walks off, handing the "mess" to his successor. Makes it easy to point to the outside if EJ falters. In reality, Whaley and Brandon were right there too. Whaley and Brandon both got a "reset" when Wilson "stepped away" (another masterful outsourcing of blame)... then another "reset" when Wilson passed and the purchase process.... then, yet another in October of 2014 when Pegula officially was approved as owner.
  25. How can and should this organization be beyond criticism? Because some outside, external factors prevent them from having a capable quarterback for almost 2 decades? "Haters?"
