  1. So people are actually justifying/defending that awful mess that happened earlier today?
  2. Its a mickey mouse outfit. What doug whaley was saying was laughably embarrassing
  3. Zero influence on the coach being fired... team policy to only speak with the coach's voice
  4. https://twitter.com/TeamGleason/status/815716483317825536
  5. I wouldnt say it... but Gleason himself tweeted the "breaking" news
  6. what 'young talent' do the Bills have that will blossom into a competitive NFL team. From my view, the best pieces are aging fast. Bad contracts with a lot of upcoming FAs. Watkins is probably the best piece and I cant imagine he is happy with the current state of things, and by the time his Entry deal ends, his disdain will probably be at the breaking point.
  7. Hate is way too strong of word. I like the family, appreciate the passion for making buffalo a better place, willingness to provide resources to the bills and sabres. And, most of all, the regional stability of those franchises However, as functional sports owners, for on ice/field product, pegula is a disaster. Sabres, i can see why he might have been willing to stick with ruff and regier. They did have some decent years and respect in the league. The fans and media had known they had run their course though... but it turned out very bad, and moves were made in half measures, early in seasons, after course could have been better corrected with entire offseasons (and a lengthy lockout). Strange drama with lafontaine reflects poorly as they lost another cog of credibility in craig patrick. Now we only have an eccentric gm running the show and it is going very poorly. Ted Black, who was loved and respected by fans was sent packing for russ brandon, who many do not like or trust. The Sabres are still bad and boring. Going to games is a chore. Working on a very nice playoff-less streak of their own that spans pegulas ownership. The longest such streak in Sabres' franchise history. The bills purchase held similar baggage as the sabres... without a glimmer of success. It was a no brainer to thank the old guard and bring in a new operation. The Bills are a 50 year joke other than a sonewhat brief stretch in 88-95. Marrone even put it on a silver platter to clean house when he walked out the door. Polian seemed set to come in. Then something strange happened there. Something about people in the organization 'badmouthing' This is another opportunity for change, but they are sticking with the cast of characters, holding the bills' masterful art of graying the blame as who is responsible for failed coach hires, bad draft picks, etc... promoting lynn is not changing the failed organizational course. At some point, probably after one year of "changing schemes and personnel", year two of "continuity", and year three wheels coming off... lynn and whaley will leave, along with all problems and poor decisions. Brandon and Pegula will 'promote' Monos, and the cycle of making identical mistakes will continue.
  8. Ill believe it when i see it. They have been trying to deliver this message for several years
  9. Anthony Lynn will coach the rams and saints
  10. The media just needs to get out of the way and let the team finish 7-9 every year.
  11. This is the most amazing part of this, really. It is remarkable how this franchise has dropped anchor in the mediocre zone. And why I cant take people seriously when they say that we are 'close'... they have been right here, give or take a few games for going on 2 decades. They beat almost all the bad teams, and lost to all the good teams. Its the same movie... and we are going to see it again next season
  12. In the process of absolving whaley of the coaching hires he hasnt been able to get along with... you need to put brandon front and center.
  13. I have a 00.033881317890172014% Probablilty. so yeah, 1 in 2,951 sounds close. Celebrate!
  14. this is my biggest complaint with that station and why I listen about 1 hour a month now... Here is the topic. Who do you want as the Bills' QB. Bulldog, you take this side, Schopp, you take the unpopular opinion, let's take callers for 3 hours. It is exhausting to listen to. The callers are the dregs of our fan base.
  15. when I was a kid, Art Wander yelled at me more than my dad
  16. So Russ Brandon has no influence on the football side, yet he unilaterally hired the head coach in 2013... and also, Doug Whaley, the GM had no say in the head coach in 2015. Only the owners who had owned the team for 2 months? No other input? Whaley had no input on the HC, and Brandon is a marketing-only guy cannot co-exist.
  17. or maybe the collaborative structure is constantly destined for failure, dysfunction, and drama.
  18. Right on. Its year one again... but in a couple years, brandon will pull the same accountibility shell game with whaley and promote monos as gm to maintain the status quo. We will be at year one for what seems like the 20th try They so need someone from the outside to change the course once and for all. The shell game we have witnessed for about 11 or 12 years needs to stop
  19. The Bills aren't a good team. I do not believe the Dolphins are either. Eeking into a playoff spot by beating the dregs of the league and losing a Wild Card game someday in some future season is not my aspiration for the Bills. The Bills are painfully average, just like they have predictably sat for what seems like a lifetime. Am I supposed to believe that another phony deck-chair realignment.... allowing Doug Whaley to move from GM that somehow wasn't allowed to make decisions, to a "real" GM and promoting a coach from within will change this organization's course? The Bills have been playing this accountability shell game for years, and people still fall for it.
