  1. Remember when Ronnie Harmon dropped the pass in the end zone? That play. And every single heartbreaking loss in between, comes back to the surface (annually) when we come up short of winning a SuperBowl. On this occasion, thanks to old age, mental preparedness for Bills losses and copious amounts of bourbon…I have become comfortably numb.
  2. The Bengals have been a class act throughout this situation. (For this discussion, I will disregard the questionable hits on Taron and Josh.) After reviewing all the options, IMO the only one that doesn’t hurt Cincy or disrupt the entire league is a Bills forfeit. It sucks. It’s the same unlucky BS that I have lived with for my entire 40+ years as a Bills fan, but It’s the right thing to do.
  3. Mondays game is not going to be played. The NFL is not going to adjust the playoff schedule or games. A simpler solution will prevail.
  4. At least this one has all 18 weeks: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/upshot/nfl-playoff-picture.html
  5. This link seems more legit. https://breakingt.com/products/buffalo-pick-6?rfsn=915571.564a8 (Wish I could have put the Peter Pan guy in the link.) 😄
  6. Just thinking out loud, but it makes more sense to me that the Bills would be trading Ty Nsekhe back to the Redskins for Trent Williams instead of Clowney.
  7. Has a net worth MUCH less than 10 Million dollars. Refuses to empathize because "no one is oppressed".
  8. No surprise. His effort and tackling in their playoff game was pathetic.
  9. Posted Wednesday at 12:20 PM Yes, I now understand why a tag and trade is highly unlikely - but it may be the only way a team like the Bills could get a legitimate shot at Cousins. ---------------------------------------------- I thought we already discussed this?
  10. Yes, I now understand why a tag and trade is highly unlikely - but it may be the only way a team like the Bills could get a legitimate shot at Cousins.
  11. You are correct. It would have to be a franchise tag.
  12. Agreed. I think the Redskins would need to have a deal in place to do this. Would a team be willing to make a deal and take Cousins at 34MM with exclusive negotiating rights?
  13. I think the Redskins will place a transition franchise tag on Cousins, so is he worth the huge contract AND giving up a draft pick and/or other compensation? I like Cousins, but it seems like the team that does acquire him is destined to overpay. I'm not sure that translates to long term success. I'm convinced the best option is to draft a QB in the 1st round and hope he becomes the long term solution.
  14. Here is the best way to figure it out: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/upshot/buffalo-bills-nfl-playoff-picture.html#buf-ind-14=win&buf-mia-15=win&ne-buf-16=win&mia-buf-17=loss Assuming Bills go 3-1 (loss to Pats) basically the Ravens would have to lose 2 games. Steelers over Ravens Week 14 Ravens over Browns Week 15 Ravens over Colts Week 16 Bengals over Ravens Week 17
  15. All I want for Christmas? A torn achilles and an ambulance ride out of New Era stadium.
  16. I predict Peterman starts this week and throws for 333 yards, 3TDs & 3 INTs in a victory over the Chefs ("Great googly moogly."). And ALL is well for Bills fans!!!....until the following week. "Strong feelings are fine; it's the overreactions that mess us up." -Albert Ellis
  17. After the Chargers game, I thought the same thing - McDermott HAD to go back to Tyrod for the remainder of the season. Now, I think he is screwed either way. If he goes back to Tyrod, he looks weak and undetermined. Also, we don't learn any more about Peterman or his future (I don't believe that can be determined on one game.) Best outcome for this option is that Tyrod comes out and plays more aggressive and starts lighting it up, but given past indicators this is doubtful. If Peterman starts again, I think he could lose the locker room. But this is the only way McDermott can regain his credibility. If Peterman starts this week and starts throwing interceptions, the season would be over. But the best outcome for this option is if Peterman somehow turns it around and plays really well....once again highly doubtful given past indicators. Unfortunately, (for us fans desperate for the playoffs) this decision will not be based on getting to the playoffs this year. I think McDermott has left himself with only one viable option for his long term future and credibility - starting Peterman.
  18. From the REALLY not important Dept.: Guaranty is not wrong - just obsolete. http://grammarist.com/usage/guarantee-vs-guaranty/ Guaranty is an obsolete form of the word guarantee, it is now mostly used as a noun in financial and legal documents to refer to something that is offered as security that an action will occur.
  19. Tyrod in the top ten!?! Only logical explanation - fake news.
  20. Wow. I hate to be the spelling police, but that was too bad to ignore.... facetious.
