Bills Season Autopsy 23/24 & Reviving for 24/25
flmike replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've noticed all year that Josh is not a "Plays" QB. While other QBs hit their receivers in stride on designed plays, Josh holds the ball longer than anyone else and misses out on receivers at the best point of their routes. When he does connect, notice that the receiver is always facing the wrong goal line and is usually hit right away. That needs to change. I keep thinking our receivers can't be that bad. Josh is not helping them. -
All white UNIFORMS for Bills against the Eagles Sunday afternoon.

If only they could sport the standing buffalo too! -
This is a different situation though. McD was hired and requested Beane to come with him. I think they travel together if one is let go.

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. Sunday Oct 15. NY Giants version.

D gave up only 9 points. Offense was truly offensive -
IDK, I don't want them taking away our December games or forcing us to have a dome.

That's a huge difference. The Jets D is strong everywhere while LV has some good safeties but not much in the middle. Exploit weaknesses when they are there.

Good teams like the Bills are usually not drafting immediate starters in Round 3 unless it's a RB. His size and speed say he has strong safety in his future.

Love that the film shows he knows exactly how long he can hold before the flag comes. Football smarts. Too bad he is a Gator though. My Seminoles roughed up his team this year. I'd be curious to see how he held up that game.

I'm still of the opinion that great RBs have great OLs. Without an excellent blocking OL and scheme, even the best RBs hit LBs in the gaps. I believe Cook will be a solid RB if we can build a proper OL that manhandle DLs late in the season in bad weather. We used to have that and it worked. I prefer to use our 1st round (if we stay at current pick) on an OL or maybe WR (we have a lot of needs). If they grab a stunning CB (although I don't think there are any in this draft that will fall to us) that's fine, but OL is really the biggest need. Josh has always papered over their weakness with his mobility.

Mighty unchristian of a team to "rush the pastor" LOL

The team desperately needs help at LB and CB and safety depth, not to mention a true run-stuffing DL and you don't want to use picks there?

I think Beane got tired of teams running up the middle on us late in the season.

Burrow had time due to scheme. Just like Brady did. Josh spent an hour looking for the home run. That needs to change.

Halftime Adjustments a Myth! (Per Peyton Manning)
flmike replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall
Any good coordinator has contingencies ready. If this isn't working, we do this, or if go down 2 receivers, we do this and such. If they don't do this, they are idiots. -
I get your point, but all those things are part of a football game. The Bills have won games with turnovers as well. I don't discount them at all. The Dolphins played their hearts out and our D made a 3rd string QB look good. Style points don't matter, but the manner in which a game played can be somewhat predictive for how they will play in the next one. That worries many.

Bills WR Route Concepts in Our Offense

Beas must be having stone hands in practice or something... We don't have the OL for it and Josh is not the best on the short stuff. -
Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.
flmike replied to Locomark's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would hope for the same. Don't get me wrong. I've seen them pull things out (for example, the last few weeks...). It just wasn't looking good with the Bengals poised to make it 14-3 in the next minute or so. The Bills D did not have really good answers the entire quarter to that point. Just making a point but still holding out hope. -

That's a pretty big leap of logic there.
