Seahawks-Bears anyone? (Live Game Thread)

When Edmunds gets out of his baby giraffe phase he’ll be a weapon. Most people don’t know he’s just 5 years old. -
James Cook- special 2024 season

Counterpoint, it’s 20 years later and the very best RBs are playing on 2nd or 3rd contracts. Saquon, Henry, Jacobs, Mixon. -
James Cook- special 2024 season
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to MasterStrategist's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's turned himself in a tough RB in addition to being a shifty and fast one, which means that aside from goal line carries he's the entire package. He's been punishing linebackers and safeties on inside runs and plows ahead on the sideline instead of just going OOB. I'm fine giving him a 3 year extension. -
He’s always a day away.

Spencer Brown deserves his own thread.
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
He has 6 on the season so, not every game. -
Not a lot out there. Leonard Floyd has 8.5 sacks for a very mid 49ers team. Tremaine Edmunds will finish with over 100 tackles but Bears fans dislike him more than we did.

CJ Stroud's uncontrollable crying.....
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wonder how many of the people casting doubt on Stroud’s manhood in this thread would crap their pants in the face of an NFL DE bearing down on them. Weird thread. -
Denver Broncos @ Los Angeles Chargers

I think Nix has a bright future but if he has to come to OP in January he’s throwing a small handful of INTs. -

I always laugh when there’s a cowardly punt and then the other team is immediately beyond where you would have turned it over on downs. -

Seems like a classic situation where you do that then never see the ball again. -

That should have been a flag but I will say that I hate when offenses get rewarded for the QB throwing an awful deep ball, so I’m kinda ok with that. -

That’s an incredible play by Palmer. -

Absolute idiot play by #40. Herbert was a full 5 yards from the first down. What are you even trying to prevent by making contact? -
He asks them not to?

Week 16, Cheats v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills 30 Cheats 13 -
The really crazy thing is that he’s gone hyperbolically Favre-like with off schedule throws all while protecting the ball *better*. This is a guy who’s figured out exactly how many pixie sticks to eat pre game.

Penix officially replaces Kirk Cousins in ATL
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can see it plain as day. The Jets get off to a 3-1 start next year with Cousins at the helm, as Jets fans dive head first into “You like that” memes. They proceed to scuttle to a 7-10 record. -
I think what people often miss with these inter generational comparisons is that a prime Jim Kelly today would also be able to take advantage of all the modern stuff. Rules that favor the QB, better coaching (from childhood on), better tape, the physical science of athletics improving his arm strength, accuracy and even foot speed. This always comes up in baseball. “Babe Ruth couldn’t hit a slider.” Well, maybe he would have figured it out if it existed.
