    The effort is laudable but this is simply too arbitrary to mean anything. The very premise of the equal three way split between HC, QB and everything else is too flawed a foundation.

    If the goal is to prevent the QB from throwing the ball away to avoid a sack, Intentional grounding is a penalty that needs to be called more subjectively to the spirit of the rule rather than to the letter. There can’t really be a receiver in the area of a ball flicked to the ground.

    Given what I know about our FO dynamics, losing Terrance Gray for a couple 3rd rounders would either be a disaster or a great thing or somewhere in between. I hope it either happens or it doesn’t or I don’t know.
