  1. I dig this but the backgammon reference will be lost on us. Can you use a Junior Monopoly or, perhaps, Cornhole analogy?
  2. Josh took his driver out against the Ravens and there will be other games where he will. Part of the equation here is that Beane has built a hell of a run blocking o-line and it makes sense to beat teams by relentlessly gaining 5-7 yards at a time.
  3. Since the start of last season (including postseason) Josh has thrown 6 INTs in 664 attempts, a rate of 0.9%. Aaron Rodgers, probably the most famous QB for not giving the ball away, has an amazing career rate of 1.4%. Some people come on here decrying our lack of downfield passing without realizing that the Bills’ game plan and Josh’ approach are an evolution from the gunfight mentality that turned many games into chaos battles. Now we win with an exacto knife.
  4. Tua went out and told the press that he can’t do half of what Josh does. He’s right, of course, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard a QB actually say something like that before.
  5. Yes. People come in here like they’re the lone brave contrarian. Every Bills fan sees the team’s weaknesses but some of us know that we’re winning anyway and just need to get a healthy Josh into the playoffs in the 1 seed.
  6. You philistines just don’t understand the artistry behind Prater’s kick tonight, which was clearly meant as a postmodern subversion on the notion of prescriptive success through the lens of goalposts. “What if the ‘good’ kick were somewhere over here?” asks the artist, “ten yards to the left”. “Isn’t there an equally valid world where THIS is worth your precious three points while the straight kick is valueless?”
  7. The Brady-era Pats won like a dozen games against us that looked like this. If you just don’t put the ball in jeopardy you win the game like 90% of the time even when the inferior opponent plays better than expected.
  8. This is a defense that will be getting back Oliver, Milano, Ogunjobi, Hoecht and Hairston before we play a contending team.
  9. It’s terrible. Bad games between teams that haven’t had time to prepare or heal. Plus it functions to make the Thanksgiving games feel unremarkable.
  10. I doubt McDermott is coaching with a specific goal of McDaniel getting fired. It’s simply not his concern and NFL HCs are a fraternity unless there’s otherwise a source of conflict.
  11. Pedantry about architectural semantics does make me feel kinda vomitory.
  12. The moment you step out into the stadium from the concourse and suddenly the whole field is in view...really take that in, because it'll be something you never forget.
  13. It’s easy to imagine a 51-3 blowout given Miami’s trajectory but with the combination of TNF and a division game I’m saying 49-2.
  14. It would be hard to ask for a better start to this season for the #1 seed. I'm aware how early it is but two game leads against the Chiefs and Ravens (tiebreaker) and Burrow going down for pretty much the whole regular season is as wide open as the window gets in mid-September.
  15. Benford turned out to be such a parachute on the Elam pick. If you were to do a redraft it would be a matter of when, not if, Benford goes in the 1st round.
  16. Prater is now 11/11 on kicks (6/6 FG, 5/5 XP), not to mention two of those being a game winner and a 50+. The only advantage Bass gives you is the hypothetical length to nail an emergency 60+ and frankly we have a QB who's savvy enough to play to his kicker's target line in an end-game drill.
  17. McDaniel is giving existential crisis postgame interviews like a dead man walking. This is the definition of a TCOB game. Thursday night games are often weird sloppy ones so I think this is a good test of how focused and prepared the team is. They passed that test in a big way yesterday.

  19. Josh Allen: *Gets hit in the nose, is holding nose and bleeding profusely from nose* Tony Romo: "Well I don't know WHAT's going on but it's BAD"
  20. The throw to Beasley from his own EZ in the 2019 Thanksgiving game vs the Cowboys.
  21. Maybe people had certain individual reasons...sure, get your 95 year old gramps home...but a *mass* exodus like that when it's a primetime season opener and the best QB in franchise history is only down a couple scores is a straight up weenie move and indicative of a fanbase that expects to be the bug rather than the windshield even though the team has been really good for the better part of a decade.
  22. Division road games are never easy. Even dynastic squads tend to win these games by a single score with the occasional upset.
  23. Man, we could use a Kyle Hamilton on our side.
  24. Here’s a good rule to live by - initiate contact with a stranger and you get to wear the consequences. Bills fans who obsess with Lamar in any other context than a playful MVP rivalry with Josh are telling on themselves.
