    I’m not saying these games aren’t entertaining but let’s be real - there are not 14 SB contenders. 12 playoff teams is plenty and the format felt more sensible.

    If the goal is to prevent the QB from throwing the ball away to avoid a sack, Intentional grounding is a penalty that needs to be called more subjectively to the spirit of the rule rather than to the letter. There can’t really be a receiver in the area of a ball flicked to the ground.

    Given what I know about our FO dynamics, losing Terrance Gray for a couple 3rd rounders would either be a disaster or a great thing or somewhere in between. I hope it either happens or it doesn’t or I don’t know.

    I don’t believe an NFL kicker would intentionally miss. Their next job/contract relies on minute differences in percentage between them and their peers.

    Whatever. Not having to take on the game’s best pure passer in the first round is a good thing. Nobody questions the SB winner for not taking the hardest road.

    It is a great result. They have a good squad but we’re talking about a rookie going on the road to hostile Buffalo in January for a playoff game. It’s 10 times better than facing Burrow.
