  1. He’s probably the only QB to ever lose a starting gig because a trainer accidentally stabbed him.
  2. Yes, I believe positive loose vibes yield better results than the crucible of pressure. Imagine the tension release of making the playoffs after losses like Denver and Philly happened this season.
  3. It’s more like we’re in a three way all in and locked up the side pot and have to fade a combo draw to win the main pot too.
  4. Best friendship with Bengals 2017-2024 RIP Best friendship with Titans 2024-???
  5. I love it when someone starts an argument here and the very first sentence is just factually inaccurate.
  6. And the next day obviously giving it up to Andy Dalton’s charity. What an awesome time. If only Tyrol could have put up more than 3 points the next week… Only saw her a couple more times but I know that she runs a puppet theatre in New Mexico now.
  7. I have great memories from that day. I figured we were screwed but I shed a single manly tear when KW scored the TD. Later that day I didn’t want to torture myself by actually watching the Ravens/Bengals game and I had a first date at a nice restaurant. Around 7:30 when I knew that game would be ending I surreptitiously checked the score and saw the Bengals won. Used the energy to parlay into getting laid and watched the highlights at 3am when I got home. Let’s go Buffalo.
  8. If it was JUST about home/road I'd consider it depending on how badly sore he is. But this is about quality of opponents too. We need to be able to avoid Baltimore in the second round.
  9. Weird comparison at first glance but Josh reminds me a bit of Derek Jeter in the way he handles being off the field. Charms the media without really giving them anything, doesn’t insult the opposition, makes it about his teammates. Dating a starlet and yet we know hardly anything about it.
  10. Just our luck. In a year when the offense actually stays healthy, two crucial players just decide to become professional bowlers right before the playoffs?
  11. Defensive holding and illegal contact being automatic first downs is so bad.
  12. "Volume cures variance" is a maxim from the poker world. Basically, the more iterations of something you run, the less aberrant the results. 16-17 game regular seasons followed by single elimination playoffs in a sport where each side gets to possess the ball like a dozen times is EXTREMELY high variance and you can't get to the end of the season and simply conclude that the best team/best coach/best QB won. Write all the narratives you want, a lot of it is luck. Compare this to basketball. 82 game season to determine seeding. 7 game series. About 100 possessions of the ball per side. Upsets are comparatively rare and you can generally trust that the best team won. So when that's the case it's only natural that dominant players like Jordan, Lebron and Shaq end up with handfuls of championship rings. It would be more surprising if they didn't.
  13. This is pretty much what I think of every conspiracy type thing. If it requires like a few select people to keep a secret it could have happened. Hundreds or even thousands? Absolutely not. Even if everyone was properly motivated to keep the secret, somebody would get drunk and spill it. It's pretty much the one thing I trust about the world, that people will eventually blab about stuff.
  14. We’ll get their best effort, from any of their players who can go. You don’t surrender the division on the eve of the playoffs and then confidently face your team as a leader the next day.
  15. I find it funny that talk of rigging always starts up when there’s an egregious and publicly mocked ref mistake at the end of a game. As if that’s how they’d go about it.
  16. Bills beat Lions 42-41 as Dalton Kincaid barely out jumps Sam LaPorta to knock away a Hail Mary. The 62 Bills fans who survive their heart attacks begin to plan the parade.
  17. Peterman also completely fooled the Raiders so it stands to reason that he was showing enough. That said, having a QB room of Josh, Peterman and AJ McCarron was malpractice.
  18. The most frustrating thing is the red zone passing game. I get jealous watching KC because they always scheme something up where if Mahomes gets more than 2.5 seconds someone is open by 2-3 yards in the end zone.
