Not according to nfl.com draft profiles

    https://www.nfl.com/prospects/xavier-worthy/3200574f-5274-1496-c9ca-5c4709faa05b

    Same point though

if you google “How tall is Xavier Worthy” his height he’s 6’-1” every where else though.  So not sure what’s accurate, but during combine the big knock was being over 6 feet tall and weighing 164 pounds. Here is a couple for example

    https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/4683062/xavier-worthy

    https://texassports.com/sports/football/roster/xavier-worthy/12556

Either way, he’s still a stick figure though as you said.

It’s either BTJ, Worthy or trade down imo if they don’t go way up

Only way I can see them go way up is if Odunze/Nabers gets to at least 12.  And there are paths for that to happen.

I think BTJ is very likely a target and one they would go up and get.  I hope we don't move up for Worthy though.  If we take Worthy at 28, fine, but I am not a fan of moving up for someone who has real question marks if his light frame can hold up to a WR1 role for 17 games and playoffs.  Will he even be able to get off the line in snow/bad weather games in Buffalo when the game gets more physical and slower?  LOVE the idea of his speed, but I fear his best traits are vulnerable to what comes with playing in Buffalo.

I can't dream that big because I can't figure out a way to come up with the draft capital and money.

But I have come up with a path for DHop. Tenn could be tempted to grab Rome at #7 (which is unrealistically high for the Bills to get to).  This would make DHop and his paltry $13M salary expendable (if he isn't already). Tenn just spent big bucks on Ridley and drafted a 1st round WR last year.

I love the idea of pairing DHop with the speedster X Worthy.  But I think to get Worthy the Bills may have to do Beane's usual small move up.  Maybe not even that small - they may have to move ahead of Miami.

    Good point on Miami

As I said before...I HOPE Miami takes Worthy, would be one of the worst moves they could make and I would love every second of it.  I assure you it will result in the firing of the whole regime a year from now.  With a better roster than they have now, and the fastest roster in the NFL the past 2 seasons they have only beaten 2 teams who had a winning record, blew a 4 game lead in the division with like 5 games to go, and haven't won a playoff game.

Their trenches are a total mess now and there will be great prospects on both sides of the trenches at 21.  Taking a guy who is going to be WR3 and maybe get 30-40 receptions this year (unless injuries give him more opportunities) is not changing anything for them.

As it is, they are staring down the barrel of missing the playoffs (which they barely made last year) this year.  Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, Texans, Bengals are all there...then you got Jets, Jags, Steelers, Browns, Colts, and maybe Chargers who will also all likely at least make some playoff noise if not flat out make the playoffs.

Nothing will be funnier to me than seeing Miami take Worthy and McDoofus show he has no idea how to build a football team outside of Madden.

If we do this, I hope we trade up again in the 2nd for Coleman or Legette or Polk. Pair the speedy small WR with the big bodied contested catch specialist. I don't care if it means we have barely any picks on day three and have to give up one of our 2nds next year. Get two physical studs that win in different ways and put them on the field with Josh Allen for the next 5+ years, and the rest will figure itself out.

Sadly, if we move up for any WR in the first there is very little chance...I would say almost no chance...we take another WR in the 2nd.  We have some many other positions we need to address and we don't have a 3rd plus we will be without whatever other picks we included to move up in the first.

If we stay at 28 and take Worthy, then maybe they would go WR in 2nd too (and I would be pounding the table hard for Polk if we were to take a WR in the 2nd), but still without a 3rd and badly needing to address a couple other areas, I just highly doubt we go WR - WR even without trading up in rounds one and 2.

    Thanks for this.

I don't view Legette as having the highest bust risk at all.

I think Adonai Mitchell has a far higher risk of busting than Legette.

Legette suffered through injuries, motorcycle accident, etc, all throughout college. When finally healthy, he posted 1200+ yards and 7 TDs in the SEC. He is known to have an exceptional work ethic.

Mitchell's career BEST year saw him post 845 yards and 11 TDs. He doesn't have the injuries to fall back on that Legette had, either. And whereas Legette's work ethic is lauded, the word on Mitchell is that he takes plays off when the ball isn't coming his way.

Give me the guy who was hurt a bunch, but who -- when healthy -- put together an excellent year of production the SEC over the guy who, despite having all-world measurables, never posted even 850 yards receiving in a given season.

I could even argue that I feel Brian Thomas Jr has a higher bust potential than Legette, but there's no need to open that can of worms, too.

At the end of the day, I think it's all personal preference and "Beauty in the eye of the beholder". We've all talked circles around these prospects for three months. Time for the draft to just get here, so that we can see how NFL teams feel about these guys.

I agree on Mitchell.  And end of day, we all have our draft crushes this time of year, it’s what makes the draft so interesting.

My 2 top targets outside the big 3 are Thomas and McConkey personally.

Just came here to say that Xavier Legette being ranked as a "back half of round 1 player" is not at all controversial, shocking, or worthy of scorn.

Scouts are higher on him than the draft community.

We all become completely certain of things because the draft analysis community tells us these things over and over and over again and we take it as gospel. But year after year after year, they're wrong about a lot of things.

Remember the year Ryan Nassib came out and many had him mocked in the first round? Scores and scores of mock drafts had him as a 1st round or, at worst, 2nd round player. He went in the 4th.

That's just one random example, but there are TONS of them.

So just because the mock draft industry told you that Legette won't go at, say, pick 22, doesn't mean he won't. Just because they say Brian Thomas Jr is absolutely the 4th best WR prospect doesn't mean they're right.

Furthermore, if "only one year of notable production in college" is the reason we're writing Legette off, then lets please also write off Brian Thomas Jr and Adonai Mitchell and the majority of the other good WR prospects, please and thank you. There are a lot of one-year-wonders this year, and not all of them even have the medical justifications that Legette has.

Dude's gonna be a baller. Watch.

I agree with your overall point...but here is a counter point too:  Every year there are guys who are big and run fast in shorts at the combine who get over drafted over the potential of what that means despite not having the college resume to support the draft slot.

Legette has sky high potential, but he also has probably the most risk of the guys expected to go in first 2 rounds.  I don't think he is ready to be a complete WR1 at the next level and has a lot to work on that could take a couple seasons before you know what you have in him long term.  Which is why I like some other guys in the first over him.

My stance is...I won't hate the pick if he is who we take in the first, his potential is still exciting...but I will be cautiously optimistic on year 1 expectations to say the least.  I would feel more comfortable taking him in the 2nd though, again, he does have elite potential, it is just that he also proabably has the highest bust risk too.

He lost me with Xavier Leggette as round 1 and the 4th receiver on the board over Brian Thomas Jr. I've watched a lot of these and nobody has ever been that high on Leggette. It reminds me of when Chris Trepasso had Mason Rudolph as his QB1 and said he would be the next Marino. I think these guys try to be controversial on purpose so if it pans out then they look smart

Yeah, I am pretty skeptical he goes first round.  Thomas is clear WR4 for me, and I think McConkey, Mitchell, Franklin, and Worthy are gonna likely go (in no particular order) before him.  Then, again in on particular order, you still have Coleman, Pearsall, Wilson, Corley, Polk (who I am hearing is one of the drafts biggest risers leading up to Thursday), McMillan, etc who are all going to have a good shot at going round 2 as well along with Legette.

I think that they are going to do it, if Mike McDaniel gets his way. There were reports that the Fins staff all went to Austin to look at Sweat on Texas' pro day, but that McDaniel spent all day drooling over Worthy.

As the GM of the Dolphins in the TSW v3.0 Mock there is no F-ing way I am taking Worthy even though I am fully aware they might actually be that dumb on draft night.  So I definitely agree he is a legit option at 21 on draft night because McDaniel is a buffoon who has no clue how to build a football team.  Personally, I think McDaniel is fired after this year as I don't see them making playoffs.  Teams like Bengals, Jets, Steelers, Browns, Chargers, Colts and some others all have a legit shot at being better this year and being or challenging to be a playoff team.  Then you still got Chiefs, Bills, Houston, Ravens, Jags, etc.

Miami barely made it last year and choked the division away with a stronger roster than they will have this year.  So to use a first round pick on a guy who will be penciled in as your WR3 this year with Hill and Waddle there would be just stupid unless they are trading one of Hill or Waddle.  They are so bad in the trenches, and its going to be their achilles heal this year.

None of this is about Worthy who I think will go first round.  Its about the Dolphins make up of their team and how taking Worthy for them is a Madden team building move, not an NFL team building move that will probably get this regime fired a year from now when they go down as the fastest team in history to not make the playoffs.

With the 11th pick, in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select....... Byron Murphy II, Defensive Tackle, Texas.

After Daniels was off the board at #3, there was no QB worth trading up for in our eyes. The defense, however, does need some work as well. We take whom we feel is the best DT in this draft. A guy who will slot in as a 5-Tech in base sets, and a 3-Tech when we go into our 4 man fronts. He gets after it on the interior, having had 6 sacks and generating 36 pressures this past season. He is also stout against the run. A true 3-down interior defender. Brian Flores rejoices.

Side note: Been so busy at work today I missed my chance at trading up for Daniels, who was my guy. C'est last vie.

@HappyDays and the Bears are on the clock.

Nice pick, I think Murphy is coming off the board much earlier than people think and will be either the first or 2nd defender to come off the board.  He is popular mock to Bengals at 18 or Seattle at 16 (I think there is no way he gets past Seattle though) but I think he might go as high as 8 to Falcons (assuming they don't have their first round stripped in next couple of days for tampering) or possibly 9 to Bears.

I wouldn't be surprised if Worthy goes as early as to the Dolphins at 21.   Even if he goes in the 2nd,  the Bills would have to blow their draft pick load to get Odunze and wouldn't have much left in this draft or the next to use to acquire another 2nd.

While its possible they do take him at 21...I would say that if the Dolphins draft Worthy at 21 they should immediately fire the GM before their next pick.

    Lets Recap:

    • Dolphins have one of the best, and some would say arguably the best, WR duos in the NFL in Hill and Waddle.
    • Dolphins are the fastest team in the NFL both at WR and RB and fastest offense overall.  Elite speed at both positions.

Despite all of this, in the last years the Dolphins have failed to win their division, even with a 4 game lead late in the season, have failed to win a playoff game, and have only won 2 games against teams with a .500 or better record in 2 seasons.

So why is that?  Despite all that speed, most in the NFL, the offense is easily defensible by simply disrupting Tua's early reads.  There is no way adding Worthy makes any difference to this teams fortunes.  They are not going to be able to get teams off the field on defense, and on offense, with Worthy as a 3rd WR he won't help Tua when his OL stinks and teams keep disrupting Tua and taking away all the speed advantage they have.

    Now add in:

    • Dolphins OL is a mess
    • Dolphins lost everyone who matters in their front 7 and DL is a bigger mess than OL

Like I would literally absolutely fire the GM the moment Worthy's name was announced...not a knock on Worthy at all, its about Miami needs and team makeup where.  Worthy is a god awful pick for them to use their first round pick on as he will be essentially a WR3 on their team that has massive holes in the trenches.  There will be some really good OL guys on the board at 21.

I PRAY this happens, I will laugh so hard and I promise you it would be the end of this coaching staff and front office by next offseason.

The most boring pick ever and the football equivalent of broccoli.  Should help us realize that even behind great blocking and decent WR weapons that Levis is not the answer.

The Atlanta Falcons @CNYfan are on the clock.

IMHO this pick is almost as much of a lock as Caleb to Chicago if he is on the board (Chargers could snag him at 5 though if the smoke about Harbaugh wanting to focus on the trenches first has legs and they don't trade back).  Titans probably already have the card filled out ha

    They are happy in Atlanta.

The Chicago Bears and @HappyDays are on the clock

Nice, I think the pick is either Byron Murphy or Dallas Turner myself too.  Personally, I have a feeling its gonna be Murphy, but if not then it will likely be Turner.  Both would be good picks for them as they need to address the whole DL.

  13. I just have this gut feeling Caleb is gonna not live up to the hype in Chicago.  Something about him reminds me of Jeff George...incredible talent but I think his ego and mental aspects are going to be his own worst enemy.

When I look for a QB to have elite potential, a big part of that is inspiring those around them to want to go to war with them.  They elevate and motivate those around them, and I lack confidence in Caleb to excel in those areas.  Kind of like Jamie Foxx in "Any Given Sunday" where he was a hard guy to like for a while and didn't have the support of everyone in the locker room.

I like Maye's upside potential more than Caleb even though Maye does have a lower floor with more to work on to be a top end QB in the NFL.  He has a Josh Allen type ceiling when you watch him play.

With the 4th pick of the 2024 TSW mock draft version 3.0, the Arizona Cardinals select:

Marvin Harrison, Wide Receiver, Ohio State.

It would have taken a big offer to move me down. Nothing was forthcoming. Then it is between the two best players in the draft for me - Harrison and Alt. But the Cards took Paris Johnson who I remain high on as my LT of the future at #6 last year. So I go get Kyler a WR1 in Harrison. He was at his best with prime DHop and we need to recreate that element in our offense.

@NeverOutNick and the Los Angeles Chargers are now on the clock.

Rumors swirling that the Cardinals have been locked in on MHJ for weeks and gonna take him unless someone knocks their socks off...which I think is probably accurate if they stay at 4, but I think those rumors are a clear ploy to drive the price up and fuel the bidding war for this pick.

If Giants want McCarthy not only do they have to contend with AZ possibly trading this but lots of belief the Chargers want to trade back too.  That is not one, but 2 spots for Vikings, Broncos, or Raiders to potentially leap frog them for JJ McCarthy if they are as high on him as the buzz would suggest.

And they supposedly will not make any decisions until on the clock, to again put pressure and drive last min bids.  I think they still trade back, but obviously if they don't MHJ is the most likely pick.

To me, the Chargers need WR and this is a no brainer.  However, every single thing I've heard from Harbaugh is that he wants to build up his lines and run the ball.  They've brought in Edwards and Dobbins (the best of the breakable backs), and I truly believe they will go offensive line here.  I'm not knocking your pick, and everything could be a smoke screen, but based of the style that Harbaugh runs...

Yeah and its why people have been mocking a lot that the Chargers will trade back out of this spot for someone who wants a WR where they can still grab an elite prospect along the OL and more draft assets and look to add to WR later.

A trade up or a QB was tempting, but in a make or break year for Daboll the Giants decide to roll with Vanilla Vick (Dan Jones) one more time.

New Yorkish finally fills the #1 receiver roll since Odell packed his bags. Nabers can play from any WR position and can make any catch with elite speed. His presence should also help out guys like Hyatt and Slayton.

A QB is still in play for the late 1st/early 2nd. But if all fails the Giants will have an elite WR to help out their future QB for years to come.

@Doc Brown & the Tennessee Titans are now on the clock!

I get the pick for sure...but I think on Thursday if the draft fell this way the pick would be McCarthy or they would trade the pick to someone who wants McCarthy like the Vikes and take multiple first round picks.

After not getting enough compensation to move down and acquire more picks in this draft the chargers decide to stay put. Harbaugh wanted to move down and grab an O lineman early or even take Brock Bowers but because the offers weren’t there he couldn’t pass on a generational WR talent for Justin Herbert.

I know I know, why would you take Rome Odunze over Malik Nabers? I feel the top 3 WRs in this class would be the top WR in most classes and it’s really pick your flavor. Harbaugh goes with his type of player over the upside of Nabers. Odunze bleeds the same way Harbaugh bleeds. Harbaugh would’ve ran to the podium for Harrison but getting the most clutch WR in the class is a fine second option.

@JJGauna and the NY Giants are on the clock with pick 6

Personally I think Odunze will be the 2nd WR taken.  I’ve heard from people I trust that many teams have him as either the top overall WR or 2nd.  And more isn’t being made about it as people want him to slide to them or to a place they can trade for him.

He has the best ball skills in the draft and is the kind of guy who can be open even when not open.  Basically a QBs best friend type receiver.

Don't quote me, but I want to say that "experts" believe there's only 150 NFL prospects in this draft.  The Commanders can now select 11 of them.  If they really want to overhaul, they could.  It's a good draft for the offensive line, not so much for DE's or MLB though.

Thank you. We know we’re more than just 1-2 really good players away from being competitive at this point. We liked Maye and Daniels actually and thought about both at 2. But end of the day we have a ton of top 100 picks this year and already sitting on 4 picks in the first 2 round next year will get us a QB we like if we don’t get someone this draft at 12 or maybe later.

The issue is Commanders already have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds and 7 in first 150 picks coming into this draft.   So they don’t need to make this move to load up on more picks in this draft.  They can take a QB and still have 6 more picks in first 150.

So I don’t know adding a few more and a couple next year is enough for them not to address the QB position with one of the QBs three hey are high on.

My only argument with having this many picks, is that this is a crap year to have them.  With the NIL impact, this is a wickedly weak draft class.  With that being said, you have so many picks in the top 100, that it shouldn't impact you that much.  What sucks is, there are a few positions that don't even have first round grades, so building up the trenches and other areas, may not be great value in this draft.

Agreed.  This is what I meant by Wash would need more than this in real life because  they won’t care about all these day 3 picks this year.

  19. McConkey is an easy choice for me as Legette has a lot more risk to me than McConkey.  Don’t get me wrong, he has a huge ceiling too and is an exciting prospect and I would be fine with him in the 2nd, but at 28 McConkey may be the most sure bet outside the big 3 in the draft to bring value and do it this year.

Legette was a ghost all of college until his 5th year where almost all his career production came from.  You don’t know which guy you’re getting and he isn’t as polished in a lot of the areas McConkey is.  Legette does have elite potential still, I just think its gonna take a season or two for him to really put it all together (assuming he does), so I won’t hate drafting him at 28 if he was the pick, but I’d feel more confident in McConkey, especially in what he would do for us this year.
