I think they will get FA “value” CB plus draft one in Rd 1 or 2. The Bills got thin at CB quickly last season.

This also speaks to the culture of the organization. Obviously I am a homer, but the Bills have what I believe to be the best team culture in the NFL. Have the Bills turned to layers with question marks? Sure, Incognito to me is probably the most obvious. However, in his time on the roster Ritchie seemed to be settled and appropriate in his behavior.

Every kid has done something mischievous and dumb. Most learn from getting caught or their mistakes. Having said the above, no doubt that personality type takes form from a young age and rarely changes from its baseline as an adult.

The following seem to be consensus needs or holes on the Bills roster. Here are players still available and where $$$ are trending(they are not listed in any order of priority): 2/19/2022- revised: removed Backup QB following Keenum trade Guard Wide Receiver Corner Given the cap situation the Bills will need to leverage the draft to fill some of these holes. Personally, I believe the following will play out: Bates will be back at guard - market numbers are trending to his current tender WR - Bills comfortable with their current experienced players and will not seek a FA - likely to draft between rounds 2-5 QB#2 - No way do the Bills trust this situation to the draft - while I hate the reality of it - would not shock me to see Cam Newton brought in due to familiarity and he may be willing to come cheap Corner - Bills will target in round 1 or 2 of the draft and bring in a value FA - hard to say who it will be at this point

True, but it will get very ugly if they start losing, Watson does not play up to the numbers in his contract and they look at the bankrupting of their future due to lost draft picks.

I think Star stays because he is liked by the staff and there is not a ton of cap value to be had with his release. I think if the Bills had no intention f keeping him, like Beasley they would be letting him explore trade value. Update: As I was typing this the Bills released him - guess I was wrong.

The wrinkle is that the Bills also need a o-guard. I highly doubt they take a g in rd 1 but anywhere thereafter is a possibility. At this point in time I would say g is higher than WR in priority.

How do they get these contracts under the cap? They still need a QB#2 and a CB#2. Maybe they get the CB through the draft but not the QB.

I just hope all of these moves the Bills are making don’t put them in the salary cap jail.
