Not saying agree with everything you said above, in fact I didn't agree with much of it other than the Bills are pathetic, thats a no brainer. Gaither could help. The others kept me reading but not sure they would help. Now, when you put Jamarcus Russell's name on the list, your post lost all credibility. Sorry.

Five Reasons The Bills Should Sign................
billsfreak replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jamarcus Russell can have all the physical skills in the world, he might be the least motivated and laziest QB ever in the NFL. He makes Rob Johnson look like Peyton Manning when it comes to work ethic and dedication. -
I think someone will give T.O. at least one more year. He still has plenty of talent and ability to help a team and be a compliment to a number one receiver on a contender. The biggest hurdle for him is convincing himself that he needs to compliment someone and not be the number one star reciever, and not expect to get paid like the star reciever he was 5 or 6 years ago. Buffalo overpaid for him last year, paying what they should have if they signed him 5 years ago, don't expect another team to be that stupid.

It really is you with a lack of football knowledge. Quarterbacks weren't even thrown $10 million dollar contracts in the 90's, so why would a tackle? Anthony Munoz never made close to half of that for one season and he is commonly known as one of if not the best LT ever. Not sure what gave you the impression that Peters was so great, other than his absurd salary, and based on that theory of yours, Jamarcus Russell will go straight to Canton. All Peters has done is last year lead the league in penalties, the year before lead the league in sacks given up-by a mile, so yeah he is great. He has done nothing but gotten slammed by the Philadelphia media after last season, he is lazy, overrated, over paid and a penalty and sack machine. Sorry once again that you were slighted when they passed out football knowledge. Did Trudeau start at one of the most critical positions on a football team for nearly a decade, on a team that went to the postseason almost every year? Not even close. This chat wasn't about Will Wolford, and if it was it wouldn't be a case, you can't even compare Peters to Wolford. Wolford is closer to Munoz' level (and he wasn't all that close to that) than to the low level of Peters performance. Your logic is way off. Go to your pubic library, kids section, and borrow "Football for Dummies", read it front to back about 10 times, then come back and we will chat.

Is Roscoe a lock to make the team?
billsfreak replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, he had that one amazingly retarded play against Cleveland (no worse than McFumbles against Miami though) and he fell out of favor with the coaching staff. If this coaching staff comes into the season with the same mindset at all positions as it is with the quarterbacks, than I think Roscoe has a good chance for a comeback season. -
That is obviously just your opinion, and it is wrong without a doubt. Sorry

Guys, this starting front-five is a disaster
billsfreak replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, and I have been jumped on in this forum several times for that mentality. I cheer as hard as anyone on sundays when the Bills are playing and I have for about 35 years now. But, I am not going to try to convince myself that they are a Super Bowl contender, and Ralph is a great owner, and they hired a historically great coach and front office when they did none of those, and then turn around and criticize someone for not having the same fantasty opinions that I do. -

Owens was more of a paycheck collector and "me" guy than Edwards could ever be. Nobody on the Bills roster sat out more plays last year than Owens did. Only thing Owens gets is "I love me some me" and "$$$$$" -
Is Roscoe a lock to make the team?
billsfreak replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has never been predominantly a WR. Going into the 2009 season he had the highest punt return average in NFL History-that means ever. If you put him in open field, he is still the most dangerous weapon on the Bills roster. -

No way he gets cut, he is too talented. If he isn't on the opening day roster it is because he was traded. He is probably tied for the second best receiver on the team behind Lee Evans, and tied with about 4 other guys. -
WordByrd, don't take it the wrong way, but I never read your posts. My eyes always get glued to your avatar.

Although Fina was only the starter for one of the four Super Bowl teams (1993, he was a backup in 1992 his rookie season), I would take him over Jason Peters for several reasons. Fina wasn't an All Pro, but he was a steady starter for 9 straight seasons in Buffalo, a team that made the playoffs the majority of the seasons he was there. He was never a cancer in the locker room, a penalty making machine like Peters, he was never grossly overrated like Peters, he didn't whine for a new contract every other year here. They may have been comparably close in actual on field ability, but football is a team game, more so than any other sport, and Fina was a team player, one thing that even the biggest Jason Peters supporters cannot claim about him without looking like the world's biggest moron.

4 out of 5 Bills fans like wang. And that 5th person...

I guess it wouldn't be the Bills we all love without a Simpson on the roster. Might sell more tickets signing Jessica Simpson though.
-
If he even makes it to Training Camp it is doubtful he will be on the final roster. He is a running back/kick returner, two of the few positions on this roster than we actually have alot of quality depth. Maybe they are bringing in as many RBs as possible, because with this terrible Offensive Line, who knows how many will get hurt and need to be replaced.

Someone on this board reported a couple months ago that they drove by Lynch's house and saw a For Sale sign. I still think that is part of the reason he wants out of Buffalo is the stalkers here.

Our defense is worse than I thought if our absolute best defensive player is washed up? Doesn't say much for the rest of the team now does it.
-
If I had to place money on one AFC team it would be the Colts, who have pretty much the same team that went last year, with one of their starting WRs returning (Gonzalez) that missed most of last season. The Bengals won't go, Palmer isn' the QB he used to be and hasn't been the same since that knee injury. The Jets have signed alot of talent, some questionable characters, which looking at history, the odds are in favor of everything not coming together with such a major reworking of a roster. As far as the Bills signing players for one run vice building for the long run, they have been building for the long run for about 12 or 13 years now, how has that worked? Most football people would say that LT may be the most important position on the team, or at least one of the 3 or 4 most important, and we have none. Our line is the worst in the NFL in years, so as it goes now this team has no future, at least none that is any brighter than the present or the past decade.
-
I agree with you, but I always agree with the other guy too, in that watching how great and exciting those teams were, makes the teams of the past decade look even worse-and who thought that was even possible?
-
And throw, catch, block, coach, etc., etc., etc.

Guys, this starting front-five is a disaster

There is no proof yet, what so ever, that it is an IMPROVED administration. They may be worse for all we know, only time will tell, but they aren't off to a very good start. -

billsfreak replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with you, I find it very hard to believe, almost impossible that an NFL team would go into a season with this offensive line (emphasis on OFFENSIVE) without improving it. We had the worst line in the NFL last season and if we go into the 2010 season with this line, not only will we have the worst line in the NFL again, we may be up there with the worst lines in NFL history. You will never be able to tell just what any quarterback is truly capable of behind this joke of a line. All I can say is that whoever wins the QB job I sure hope for their sake, they have a Living Will. -
AP to re-vote for rookie of the year.
billsfreak replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree when you play on a pathetic team, you tend to not get the credit you deserve as you would even on an average team. -
If that happens I would consider it maybe the first good move the new FO has made, after ignoring name coaches, good free agents and messing up the draft.
