In Gaily's last interview he said he has 3! guys not 4?
billsfreak replied to 95altima12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is no way that Brown is ready to start in the NFL, he is more of a project. They would only be wasting valuable practice time putting him in the mix and giving him equal reps. I don't believe he has ever been in the mix for the starting position, but he may be the only one whose roster spot is secure, probably going to be the #3 for a year or two at least before he is even given a chance to win the starting spot. -
Nobody Talks About Fitz in this race, why not?
billsfreak replied to JustMaxx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, if Brohm starts it won't be because of what he has done to earn it, but what he hasn't done to lose the job. I think Edwards has the most potential out of the three, but that isn't saying much. We will be one of the weakest in the NFL at the QB position, no matter who Gailey picks to start the season. I think the only one of the three who doesn't have an equal chance of starting is Fitz. He has proven he is a career backup at best, and probably not even that on a decent team. -
Your post is more racist than anything that is involved in this subject. Bruce Smith was villified? Those fans were yelling BRUUUUUUUCE not BOOOOOOOOO! So Schobel wasn't an overpaid defensive end, he was an overpaid WHITE defensive end-and you're not the racist one? Schobel hasn't been run over for the past 8 years, you don't make the Pro Bowl multiple times by getting ran over. Mike Vick is the best answer? The best answer for what? It is obvious he has lost more than a step being out of football, I guess being villified and punished for things a white guy wouldn't have gotten villified or punished for in your opinion. You are the one with your head in the sand, or somewhere else.
-
Exactly, comparing Peters and Schobel is like comparing apples and oranges. Schobel didn't hold out every other season wanting a new contract, and he was much, much, much better at his position than Peters ever was. Schobel always came in to camp in shape, always came into camp period, and gave 100% on every play-Peters was the opposite. Schobel was a leader in the locker room, Peters was a cancer.

A question that I must ask
billsfreak replied to grammer_police's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he passes he might leave you some money for spelling and grammar lessons.... just messing with you. Seriously, I don't think a team can just move because the owner dies, I am pretty sure the owners would have to vote on it. I am sure they would play this year in Buffalo as scheduled, and move would happen before next year and before the schedules are created. -
Oh, 450 yards, now I understand. How dare they not elect him to the Pro Bowl?
-
Where has he improved? He hasn't hardly even played in Baltimore. Was it the whopping 24 yards passing he had in 2009? He is one of the shortest QBs in the NFL with one of the weakest arms, and alot of reports say he has a bad attitude to go with these shortcomings. So basically he is Ryan Fitzpatrick with a bad attitude, so yea lets go grab him. He won't be coming here, Gailey sounds like he is set with the little bit he has, and Smith would be lucky to compete for #3 job here,

I think it was actually the Whammie Weanie if my memory serves me. When did they start using the Shout song? It wasn't 30 years ago was it? I don't mind the song, I don't like that they play it every time we score, regardless of the game situation. For example, when we are down by 4 touchdowns and the most our offense can muster is another field goal, why play the song? Is that really a time to celebrate? If it is a close game and the score has a direct effect on the outcome of the game or it is still a close game, fine the song is cool, but it looks kind of stupid to play a celebratory song when we are too far behind to win.

Not sure what you are reading, but I didn't say any of that stuff in my short post. My only point was it wasn't an entire 25 years of losing like you stated, that although they pretty much suck now, there was about an entire decade of the past 25 years that they were anything but losing. Don't make stuff up just to justify your inaccurate posts.
-
25 years would take it to the mid 1980's if my math is correct. There hasn't been much success over the last decade plus, but the majority of this franchise's success has been in the last 25 years? You must be a relatively new fan of this disfunctional franchise.

How Many People Were Screaming For Whitehurst?
billsfreak replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You won't know if it is an upgrade at all until he performs as such, much less a "tremendous" upgrade. Don't be a bit surprised if he doesn't do a whole lot better than Russell did in Oakland, that is a disfunctional franchise, much like ours is and has been for years, with an owner that his useful days are in the past, way in the past. -
How Many People Were Screaming For Whitehurst?
billsfreak replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was a head scratcher that Seattle gave up that much and paid a QB that much for having done nothing at all in the NFL. Kinda their version of the Rob Johnson trade and signing. -
I think it is stupid when the Bills are down by 35 points and they kick a field goal? Is that really time to celebrate?

The Bills still make me Shout! Just not pleasant things is all.

Norfolk VA to get 2011 UFL franchise...Bills connection
billsfreak replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They have been talking about it down here for a few weeks, I live in the area and work in Norfolk. What they got was a "conditional approval" for a team, which they said on the news that it is approved as long as Norfolk meets some unnamed conditions. Knowing this area and the several different MLB, NBA, WNBA and a few other leagues that they have tried to bring here, that is easier said than done. They couldn't even make an Arena League 2 team work for more than a couple years with Bruce Smith and Kenny Easley owning it. Supposedly if the team comes here, Doug Williams will be the General Manager or whatever they will call him. This is the biggest metro area in the U.S. without a major team here, and there is many reasons why. I would like to see the UFL come here, but I will believe it when I see it, this area doesn't like to work well together. The road system can't handle more than a Triple A baseball game without the traffic getting backed up for miles. Not sure where they would play, this area won't build a new stadium, they have tried that several times. They could play at Harbor Park, where the triple A Tides play, but I wouldn't think it is big enough, it barely holds high school games when they play them there. This is a nice area to live in, but you have to travel to see real sports. -
Who wins the battle at the #2 WR position?
billsfreak replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It isn't like Chad Jackson is a real experienced veteran. In 4 years since he was drafted (counting 2009 which he was out of football), he has 14 receptions. James Hardy has 9 so he is almost as experienced as Jackson, he just hasn't been dumped by two NFL teams already. I hope someone from this group steps up, but my money if it happens at all, would be Hardy out of this group. I would be surprised if Jackson makes the final roster. -
Which Failed QB Would Have Been Most Successful
billsfreak replied to grammer_police's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One decent stretch of about 6 or 7 games and he towers above everyone else? He was terrible with Buffalo, even losing his job at one point to Billy Joe Hobert. He was a big time draft bust with Buffalo and one of the worst QB's in team history. -
Time get get TO back for a reduced salary
billsfreak replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Time get get TO back for a reduced salary, If he is willing to take a 2 year 7 million deal, do it. No--Don't do it! There is a reason why he isn't on a roster and it isn't because teams don't have money, his skills have diminished to the point where he isn't worth the baggage, especially on a two year deal. -
If I could choose 3 they would be: Jennifer Love Hewitt-Have thought she was hot since she was a teenager Alyssa Milano-see above Jill Wagner from Wipeout and the Mercury commercials

Are you serious? The Scandal was revealed early in 2007, since then: 2007: 16 wins 0 losses - AFC East Champs, played in the Superbowl 2008: 11 wins 5 losses- with a backup quarterback all season 2009: 10 wins 6 losses - AFC East Champs Regular season since then: 37 wins, 11 losses Post season: 2 wins, 2 losses Yea they haven't won anything since then? Wow, if that is nothing what do you call what the Bills have done?
-
Seeing how they are defending AFC East Champions, and the only year in the last forever it seems that they didn't win the division, they won 11 games, yeah they are through? Their future Hall of Fame quarterback is healthy this year, last year he was still recovering. Last year they went through about half a dozen backs because their starter was hurt, he is back as his his backup. They are still the team to beat in the division and one of the 3 or 4 to beat in the AFC. If they have a fork in them, the Bills have the entire silverware drawer in them. Tom Brady isn't the only NFL player with a wife and kid to "chase around"? Belicheat is there, so they are always going to be competitive. I really wish your post was accurate, but it is way off sadly, in fact it would be nice just to be able to beat them for a second time in what the last 18 or 19 matchups?

Him not showing up just goes to show you that you can't believe a single this moron thug says. He talks to the media about how he is glad to be back and how he has been away from football too long, then after one exhausting-no contact practice he disappears again? The guy can't be trusted as a player, a teammate or a citizen, and I hope Nix sticks to his guns and lets this guy's career rot away to nothing. He is a piece of excrement who I pray the organization doesn't give into his whining bull **** and give him what he wants, although he isn't a man enough to admit that he wants to be traded.
-
Run, Run, and Run some more..., The commitment seems obvious to me. What other choice is there? We have two RBs with at least one 1,000 year season and the projected top RB from the 2010 draft. Our OL is projected to be the worst in the NFL and our QB corp isn't far behind that. So running may be the only option if we want to stay competitive.

trade package with Schobel and Lynch.
billsfreak replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure what you mean by a number two, but if you mean a second rounder, no, so no way in heck a second overall pick. A player who is one strike away from being suspended for a year and a player at the end of his career who isn't even sure if he wants to play? Lucky if you get a 3rd or 4th round pick for them combined, and then it would have to be Houston, since that is the only place Schobel said he would entertain playing.
