Chris Brown's day 1 practice notes
billsfreak replied to Skoobydum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I totally agree with you, after all the recent QB draft bad luck, it would be nice for a diamond in the rough and to get lucky with a 7th rounder to turn out to be something. -
Chris Brown's day 1 practice notes

Face the obvious, Edwards will be the Bills QB on opening day barring an injury (which is quite likely with him). Brohm may not even be around by then, he took less reps opening day at camp then Levi Brown did. -
Schobel leaning more towards coming back...

I kinda agree, I am thinking he wanted to spend the entire summer in Texas and not at OTAs or mini camps. -
One of our best defensive players not starting

When I read the title of the thread I thought it was going to be about George Wilson? I think if Mitchell doesn't start, and that isn't decided yet, he will play just as much as the others, which is a good thing to have sufficient good LBs for a change to rotate. -
Lack of OT's May Kill BILLS Again!

I know we both hope you are wrong, but it is such a key position on a football team, that sadly the odds are you are correct. That coupled with our QBs is why most publications have us as one of if not the worst team in the NFL this coming season. Phil Steele, one of the top FB magazine writers in the country has us going 2-14, primarily because of the aforementioned positions. -
1. Jason Peters-did alot more harm to a young team with his hold outs and whining than he ever did good in his overrated gameplay. 2. Rob Johson-not the only QB that has sucked for the Bills over the past decade, but the one who wanted nothing to do with Western New York and was on the first plane out of town when possible. 3. Willis McGahee-Shiity attitude, Shiity personality-plain shiity person.

In addition to the Kids Zone auto tent, there will also be a schedule of players who will go to the fenceline (if they follow previous years procedure), and there are always other players who volunteer to go the tent. I can usually get 8-10 autographs after practice along the fence, youjust have to quick on your feet because you never know where the players are going to head to on the fence.

The entire NFL has went to a Club Med mentality, every since Corey Stringers death, you have been few and far between double sessions, if any. When I first started going to camp over 10 years ago, every other day was a double session, now they really don't exist. Plus, with todays spoiled athletes, they B word and moan if it gets too hard, or file a grievance against the team.

I don't think he will get cut, if they wanna dump him they will find someone who will give up a 6th or 7th round pick, which would be embarrasing after what they gave up for him not too long ago. He did manhandle the Bills a few years ago when they played in Detroit, he made the Bills look like little boys.

QUOTE (billsfreak @ Jul 22 2010, 01:55 PM) That will always be a two sided argument that could go on forever, since they passed on Drew Brees, Joe Flacco, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers just to name a few. But so did other teams, that argument can go either way for probably any team in the NFL. Brady wasn't thought of as a franchse QB going into the draft but the other 3 were without a doubt. What does that post have to do with Trent Edwards? Wow?

Levy was brought in for a few reasons that weren't that peculiar. He came cheap like all coaches that Ralph hires do, with the exception of Knox maybe. Polian brought him in because he knew Levy from working with him in the CFL, in fact I believe that Levy got him hired up there and kinda started his GM career. That close relationship was the reason that Polian was Marv's presenter in Canton-which makes more sense than Chris Berman I suppose.

I don't disagree, I went there a couple years ago when the Bills played and the Skins called back to back timeouts. With that stadium though it isn't a structural thing like in Buffalo, but a poor design and in my opinion a Non-NFL atmosphere, seemed more like a social event. Not to mention, the upper deck is as big as three levels in most stadiums, it is a 20 minute walk up the steps, terrible design. There were 5 Bills flags and jerseys for every one Redskin one in the parking lot before the game.

Has there ever been a QB taken in the first couple rounds ever that didn't make an NFL roster? That would be like a team admitting there mistake before they have a chance to see if it was a mistake. Never gonna happen, in fact Clausen will be starting before the year is over in Carolina, if not sooner than later.

I wouldn't say Kelly was an unknown quantity after what he did in the USFL and he had already shown in the NFL he could play. I would say moreso that the Talleys, Reeds, Taskers, Hulls, Thurmans, Ballards, etc. were more of an unknowns, the players that didn't come with all types of hype. That was a product of the great drafting by Polian and his crew, they hit on so many possible draft risks while he was here.

Is a "Fan Bass" that fish that hangs on the wall and sings when you walk by? Seriously though, the stadium is pretty much the ghetto when it comes to NFL Stadiums, especially since The Vet is gone in Philly. The only time that place isn't a dump is on sunday afternoons because of the energy that the fans bring, game in and game out. Like one other person said, selling the regular seats is only a small portion of the income, the big bucks come from the Luxury Boxes and from Corporate buyers. I am really not looking forward to 3 years from now, whether Ralph is alive or not, whether he has sold the team or not, because when the lease runs out, it will most likely be trouble. At the very least for a new lease to come to fruition, there is going to have to be big bucks put into the stadium, but most likely it will require a new stadium, which I am not sure the economy in WNY can foot that bill. What will happen to the team if Ralph dies, I think they have already said his kids don't want it? Will it be the Washington Nationals of the NFL? Owned by the league? I sure hope not.

I doubt he is even as good as Fitzpatrick, and Fitzy will never be nothing more than a borderline career backup.
