  1. What a bunch of "dicks" around here.
  2. He would help without a doubt, he is better than anyone we have after Lee Evans. This new regime doesn't seem inclined to bring anyone in, they wanna suck on their own terms.
  3. Cut Brown already? He is just a rookie. While your at it, since it seems like Spiller had as many negative runs as he did positive yardage runs in the preseason, you might as well cut him too. Doesn't look like we should keep anyone from this draft class I guess?
  4. Brian who? Oh that guy that will be quarterbacking in the UFL!
  5. There is no tough call at all between Fitz and Brohm, Fitz outplayed him by a country mile in the preseason, and you know what you will get with him. The only tough call will be between Brohm and Brown for #3. The decision will come down to the following questions: Is Brohm as bad as he has played, does the new regime want to swallow their pride and get rid of their first quarterback drafted or take a chance on him not clearing waivers, which is highly possible. As many holes as this team has, not sure they want to use a pick to take a QB and not even see what he can develop into, when the alternate is a guy who has already failed with one organization and hasn't done anything to warrant being around with this one.
  6. I never thought Tasker was that bad of an announcer, if he was I don't think he would be on any national games every year. The worst I heard this preseason was the first half against the Bengals, that was like being in a funeral home. Munoz was unbiased, but the other guy was as dry as it gets. Actually, the worst announcer I have ever heard, sadly, was probably Jim Kelly the one year he did it. I would guess he knew he sucked too, which is why he quit after one season.
  7. Not defending him, but he was referring to T.O., who as many Evans haters on this board will point out was the leading receiver last year.
  8. Not necessarily, just this morning on ESPN Brian Billick was talking about how they drafted Derek Anderson way low and tried to send him to the PS and the Browns claimed him.
  9. I might on a good day take Evans over the Jets receivers (not many days that good), but looking at the whole roster of receivers, it isn't close. Our number two receiver has a couple NFL catches, their's is a former Superbowl MVP. I would venture to say, all three of the Jets you listed are as good as Evans (or close to it, you will never know because he hasn't had squat for QBs during his career here), and they are all way better than anything we have after Evans. I didn't say "Head Coaching" I just said "Coaching." How many of the coaches on the Bills staff can you honestly say you have even ever heard of before other than Gailey and a Special Teams coach who was fired from here because he coached the biggest blunder in Bills history? Compare the entire staffs, the Jets are much better, mainly because the majority of the Bills staff has no NFL credentials.
  10. I think that would be ideally what the Bills would like, but not sure they want to take a chance on Brown passing through waivers. If not, Brohm is most likely out, since the work is Fitz has nailed down the #2 job. The decision all comes down to how much they value Brown, because if they value him, the odds are someone else will want to take a chance on him. Me personally, I haven't seen anything from Brohm that would be missed, so we might see a lot of him tonight to showcase him for possible trade bait.
  11. The bottom line is, until the Bills start doing things right on the field, and they haven't with any consistency for over a decade, the so called "experts" will think they are going to suck. It is the safe bet, since they have sucked for what seems like forever, to assume they will continue to suck. The sad thing with this organization, that even the lifelong die hard fans have pretty much the same opinion, since we have had this horrible team thrown in front of us week after week, year after year. Until this team proves things are going to be different, don't expect any of these people to come out and predict good things for the Bills, it would only make them look more clueless than they already do on frequent occasions.
  12. Replying to In what ways are the other AFC East teams better than the Bills? 1. Quarterback (NE by a mile, Miami & NYJ slightly) 2. Receivers (All of them by a big margin) 3. Offensive Line (see #2) 4. Defensive Line (see #2) 5. Line Backers (may be close) 6. Coaching (see #2) 7. Front Office (see #2) 8. Ownership (see #2) Could probably go on. Not trying to be negative, as I am as big a Bills fan as anyone else on this board, but just answering your question. Now if you ask how other teams in the AFC East aren't as good or better than the Bills I would respond: 1. Running Backs (best in the division, with Thomas Jones gone from NYJ, much better than them and NE, close with Miami-although I would take our depth when healthy) 2. Defensive Backfield (as good as anyone else, maybe the best depth in the division) 3. Kickers (best punter & place kicker in the division) 4. Best fans in the division as well as the entire NFL.
  13. Not saying I don't believe the guy, but you can't base anything on someone's avatar. For almost two years I had Jill Wagner from Wipeout as my avatar, I sure wish that meant something! Schwing!
  14. Why are we involved in every trade rumor? Reporters like to start rumors about trades for teams that need help at that certain position, and since we need help at almost every position-that is why we are involved in almost every trade rumor. There is no way in a microwave that Leinert is coming here, he would have to be paid almost 15 and a half million dollars for two seasons. Ralph wouldn't pay that for Peyton Manning much less Ryan Leaf part 2.
  15. Not saying I agree with either of you, and not saying Sunday Ticket doesn't figure into high salaries, but a small amount if it does compared to game tickets (an average of about $450 to take a family of four to a game with food/drinks/parking/ticket,etc.) figured in, spending &80-$150 for jerseys or other memorabilia, etc. play a bigger factor in these outrageous salaries. I can buy sunday ticket and snacks for 17 sundays for two years for my family of 4 to watch football on sunday ticket at home for what it would cost to go to one game, so that is where the attention should be directed more so than on Sunday Ticket, especially since DirecTV gets a good chunk of that money too.
  16. Die Hard, Sorry to hear you are leaving, it is always good to hear a perspective that such a small percentage of even high school and college stars can give, seeing how so few actually make it to the "big time." I am sure that if you did post your real name, and I wouldn't and I was only an average high school player, you would get slammed. If you did in fact play for the Bills, you can let all the people that want to say that you sucked or whatever, but anyone, even the worst players ever to suit up in the NFL were the best players on their teams up to that level, so they really are far from sucking, and were all elite athletes. Comparing the lifestyles of players from your era where you got paid peanuts (compared to today) and had jobs in the off season, can you really relate to todays millionaire athletes? The rules are night and day as much as the pay check is. Once again, I hope you have second thoughts about leaving, but if you don't, as a retired Navy sailor, I tell you "Fair Winds and Following Seas."
  17. But I thought according to a few people on here that Trent Edwards is the anti-christ because he isn't a fan? I am so confused.
  18. Put it next to the Falls, then if the Bills play like they have for the past 10 years, someone can just push them over the falls and be done with it.
  19. Who are you talking about? Not the Bills unless they are playing in the ACC maybe.
  20. I have a feeling that it means unless Brohm looks like Joe Montana in his prime, he will be looking for a job in a week or so. He hasn't been very good in the preseason, and Fitz has been himself, not the greatest but you know what you get with him, and he does seem to find ways, maybe ugly ways, but he finds ways to win on occasion. Brohm hasn't come close to winning an NFL game, and might never come close to winning either.
  21. I really hope he finally turns out to be the coach that the organization has been looking to find for the past decade and a half, but wins determine if a coach is good or not, and he hasn't even won a game yet? You didn't feel that way when Mularkey had the Bills winning what, 6 or 7 games in a row to position themselves for a playoff spot if they could beat the Steelers' third stringers? How did that turn out?
  22. In about two weeks: Brohm will be out of work Brohm will be out of work Brohm will be out of work
  23. I totally agree that the efforts and results over the past few seasons have been pathetic, but listen to any coach or player and they will tell you the only thing that matters in any professional sport is "Winning"-period.
  24. The jury is still out on whether Gailey and his staff will turn this team around, and it will stay that way for awhile, but it does appear that he has more control of the team than the previous staff did. Alot of it will depend on whether the organization gives him the resources to build a winner ($$$), as it takes both good drafts and a few smart free agent signings each year in this league to become a winner. I wouldn't think a team would have swagger until it does a little bit (or more) of winning, and this team hasn't proven it can win yet. Now confidence, you can never have enough of that, but it is totally different than swagger. Swagger on a losing team is the guy who scores a touchdown against a backup defense when you are losing by 4 or 5 touchdowns and he still does a dance and and pounds his chest and mocks the defense-you don't want swagger on a team that almost always loses like this team has for the past decade.
